As a South African born in Soweto I remember when I was growing up in the early 90s I used to listen to house music from one of my neighbours who used to have vinnyls ( I dont know whrere he got them). Interestingly at that time we used to call the music "international music" because we did not know the name up until I think 94 95 thats where house music started to boom in SA. It was no longer underground. House music what a great genre of music

I've been listening to Kerri since 1994 when i first heard him on Girls F.M. Together with Masters At Work and a few other artists, they set a standard which in my estimation has rarely been equalled. And when you still find yourself listening to an artist for three decades straight, that's a real tribute :)
I love J.S. Bach, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, King Crimson, The Allman Brothers Band, Milton Nascimento, Tom Jobim, Boards of Canada and...Kerri Chandler.. This track is a true emotional masterpiece. Thanks for the upload and the share.
This is mindblowingly the one of the most uplifting use of a synthesizer / sampler I've heard. The statement is clear and to the point. If only this sort of music was appreciated in the states.

Every mix tape, every mix CD, online mixes and all his productions on vinyl and CD/MP3. Everywhere he DJ'ed in the UK I made sure I was there. Just one CD had an enormous impact on the House I listened from that day onwards.
what else can i say you no its a case of you got this pain in your upper leg but the Music simply wont let you get up off the dance floor this is the Dj that Keeps on giving an there is more Happiness in that!!!

Some good house music mixed with the Soweto sound was made back in the 90’s. The Trompies with the Kwaito music genre. Oh man good memories.
