Okay….I loved this inside look at postpartum life. I have been going crazy trying to go back to “normal” without a baby (3 month baby and a working momma). I know I’m crazy! But thank you so much for sharing this moment of your life. It’s so refreshing seeing that I can take it slow and it’s okay not to get to everything done right away so our bodies can heal nicely. Awww those are the best! 37 weeks and the kicks keep changing and gets stronger, every part from the flutters in the early weeks to that jab in the rib in later weeks are the best part of my not just morning but daily routine :)

Hi Megan great video! Totally relate to trying to stay awake while breast feeding is hard because it makes us tired naturally. He looks so big already. My son is only three weeks.
Gosh I wish my newborn would nap by himself but the best we get is 45 mins swaddled and in the swing after he fights it for 5-10 minutes (so I am helping soothe him). My newborn never went to sleep easily during the day but would stay up for hours!!! So the only way he gets the day sleep he needs is through enforced naps in a swaddling body carry or on me in general!!! It would feel so amazing to have 2 hours of him sleeping on his own!!!

I feed my almost 8 week old every 1.5-2.5 hrs during the day usually. He won’t nap away from me for more than 45 mins so his only long nap or two each day is on me or in the swaddling body carry!
Lauren Lankford It was a STRUGGLE, let me tell you! He still fights it sometimes. We’ve been working with a sleep consultant which has helped a ton! It’s a lot of explain in a comment. Would you want to see a whole video on that?

She said they were vitamin D drops. But I'm a bit confused, I thought vitamin D was something your body produces when you spend time in the sun. Couldn't you just make sure he gets some sunlight? Or does it not work like that?
@@rebekahmontesdeoca565 The sun is a source of vitamin D, but I also don’t recommend leaving a baby in direct sunlight for too long LOL. This is a supplement to ensure he’s getting what he needs. 😊
@@Matt_Acuna well I wasn't suggesting direct sunlight or a long time, it would be bad if he got sunburnt. But I guess it would be hard to know if he got enough or not just with some shade for a short time.

Hi! I’m due in 2 weeks and we got rid of all my plants because of the fungus flies (broke my heart) I see you have the plants I had. How did you control the flies? I used the sticky paper and though it helped my husband was just over it so we’re going to try again when the spring comes. We didn’t want any problems with the baby and flies.

I was a formula fed baby and I don’t feel like I turned out any differently because of it. Sleep gets a bit easier after the first month. I have a newborn sleep tips video of you think it might help!
This isn’t realistic at all lol. This morning my newborn was up at 4am for the day, threw up in my bed, pooped 3 times once on the changing table, and cried and fussed for at least an hour, i don’t think I even heard your baby cry once.. also I don’t have time to workout or even eat lol I live off Red Bull and I haven’t showered in 4 days. I’m not hating on your video at all but I looked up a bunch of these videos when I was pregnant and got a really misconstrued idea of what it would be like. A lot of the videos seemed similar and very fake only showing the cute little moments. On another note, your baby is absolutely beautiful. God bless you both.
The baby is literally crying in the first clip and like I said this was literally my exact morning! I just took the camera around with me and didn’t edit anything out. I’m sorry you’re having a harder time- every baby is different! Just give yourself grace and don’t expect yourself to be perfect 💛
I wish i could make a morning routine like this. It’s impossible for me. I get so tired when i wake up in morning as i had to wake up every 1-2 hrly at night because my newborn loves cluster feeding. I barely get any time to do housework forget about skin care or exercise.
@@thenewbud8337 My newborn also cluster fed constantly and was waking up three to four times a night even at two months old! I feel you, it’s tough. And it was really hard to take that intentional time for myself in the mornings, but I felt a lot better when I did

Why can’t you shower? I used to put them on the floor in the bathroom in their baby seat so I could see them while I took a shower. If they cried, so be it! You have to do the little things for yourself like shower and eat in order to stay sane.

Fed is best. Just focus on the moment. Try to get someone to take the baby out so you can catch up on sleep. You will feel like a new person.
Are newborns usually awake for that long...?
A newborn wake window can range anywhere from 40-90 minutes depending on the baby and time of day 🤗 Ours were usually about 70 at this age!

What does tummy time do?
Strengthens their neck and core muscles! It’s really important for their development as they learn to roll over and eventually crawl!
