Tired of the dance breaks 💔 I reckon there still a spot for some good ones

While I'm not the biggest girl bop fan, I won't be pooh-poohing dance breaks that take immense physical stamina to perform, especially when accompanied by still rather steady vocals.
i think i figured out joost's staging. he will probably be teleporting from the stage to a pixilated/ virtual/game world. first of all, that would explain why he stands in place the entire performance while he is usually known for his high-energy performances. second of all, 1st rehearsal footage shows joost marching in place while a pixilated globe is rotating on the LED wall and the LED floor. that's probably Joost exploring the world. in the 1st rehearsal footage, you can also see a pixilated version of Joost running towards two large silhouettes in the background (his parents). The 2nd rehearsal footage also shows the 2 backgrounds dancers 'pulling' him back to reality during the happy hardcore bit. i was really worried for his chances after seeing the snippets, but i really think were in for a very big suprised for wednesday's dress rehearsal!
I think Nemo isn't making strategic choices, they are making artistic choices. I know some people we upset or hating on the outfit but honestly I wasn't surprised when I saw Nemo's outfit. It is so authentically them. Weirdly the backlash only made me like the outfit more. For me, the placement doesn't matter because it is such an amazing song and performance. It's a song I didn't get at first listen but has grown so much on me. I think it'll always be a fan favourite performance regardless how it places. I mean that spin while leaning back and belting out perfect vocals is such a wow moment. 💖 Croatia is still my #1 pick but Switzerland is a very close 2nd.
Loop is a dancy pop song. This is just 1/6th of the final song and 2nd rehearsal. They have shown 25 second dance break which is typical time for a dance break. The rest of the song is basically singing. And right after the flip she sings the high note so wait before we judge

Absolutely possible. That would be very on brand for the stage director aswell. This looks very stripped back and unfinished. Even the staging for some of his festival gigs was better so I don't think Joost would go on the biggest stage in the world with a song so personal and dear to him, releasing himself from the prison that is his grief and trauma...only to do it in such an anticlimactic way. On the other hand...dude's an odd duck so who knows 😂 Love him though..hope he achieves what he set out to do for himself, that is more important to me than our place on the scoreboard.
He’ll probably surprise us, maybe by flying over the audience or something crazy 😂

Switzerland is so outstanding lets vote for them
My favorites from this SF and from the entire competition are Nemo and Marina Satti. And I am quite happy that their performances seem to look quite different, even if both songs are a mixture of genres. While Marina is performing with dancers in a setting of colorful visuals, where a lot is going on, Nemo’s performance is in a way very reduced with only them on this moving platform. When it comes to outfits, the one from Marina may look a bit underwhelming, while the one from Nemo could look as a bit too much. I personally have no issues with it, I think it fits the song and message. I’m also a bit surprised that people are complaining about it that much and find it ugly or ridiculous, while on the other hand, they seem to have no problem with the outfit of a performer like Bambie Thug.
Denmark really needed a CASTLE made out of sand on that scene
Like the castle is a big part of it, why keep just the sand?
I too do not like the gymnastics on the stage, which do not add anything to the presentation of the song. They can move on the stage to tell a story, but please not only for these physical exercises.
There's talk about Joost attempting to do augmented reality in his act. That would be epic and it might be 'the thing that has never been done'. Maybe that's why we don't see everything yet and it might be why it seems Joost and the others are seen apart from eachother on stage. We will have to wait and see ... 🙃

How is a circle a representation of breaking the code? Or the highs and lows? Doesn’t make sense to me. The effect is cool but I disagree about it making sense for the song lyrics.
Highs and lows how it turns, swings to sides, nemo walks up slides down
And circle: most people are in the circle while Nemo is outsidr of it, outside of the standard.
Even before watching the whole video, I wanted to say HOW much I agree with you about the dance breaks! I'm SO done with them in ESC. I really hope that this trend in Eurovision will end at last.

To me, the reason why I think Switzerland went down in the odds might be because the spinning platform thing hinders his vocal control. He has an outstanding voice range and control and it should be prioritized over any weird moving platform.

Regarding Switzerland music video is so good that is hard to replicate live. Something like Belgium, Musti, or Austria and UK last year it just doesn't work live.

i dont think people realise just for how long dance breaks have been a thing for, while some think that slomo was the only one with a dance break, give that wolf a banana and llamame also had dance breaks so i think they add a lot to a performance, but not when the entire performance is based on the dance

I noticed in this video around 2:19 you were again pronouncing "Festivali i kenges" like you would "Festival de cancao". However, it is pronounced without the "sh" sound.
