From the Ashes of Apartheid... Something BETTER... STRONGER... GOOD.... Rose forth to create one of the most dynamic, diverse and versatile countries on this entire planet! Absolutely Amazing!!!
The second video from our concert with the Whiffenpoofs of Yale has been released, and it's one of the most requested - Baba Yetu! Take a look and let us know what you think. Keep watching for more video releases...
One of the best versions of this piece on TH-cam! And... I don't think I've ever heard it done completely a cappella (well, plus percussion guy). Usually it is with a symphony, or at least with a piano reduction. But here the choir actually sang all the instrumental parts as well. Really really well done, guys!
Bringing a soloist for this song is one of the hardest things ever, not only must you sing in different language but you have to be so heartfelt and emotional, it’s simple amazing how amazing every soloist I see who sings this song does amazing!!
The best version of the song I have ever heard. Great job to the soloist. The best part is the bass line as I am a bass myself. The best part is when u song the doo's and when the chords change. Absolutely wonderful. Gives me goosebumps its so good.
By FAR my favorite live performance of this. This is so much better than all of the other "big" productions that fail to capture the spirit of this song.
Very well done everyone! An absolute pleasure to listen to...it certainly warms the cockles here in soggy Scotland. Very proud of you all and to be South African - Renco's brother! :)
I just got off of a national choir and band tour in Europe about a month ago... I started looking up versions of baba yetu and this is almost identical to the one we did, you guys sounded so awesome... your harmonies were so well put together... it reminded me of my choir... If you guys do anything else like this I will be sure to watch it :)
I was introduced to this only a couple of months ago when a friend's choir sang Baba Yetu in a flash mob performance. A brilliant performance by you all.
Me gusta mucho esta versión de Baba Yetu, porque la cantan como una plegaria, sin gritar. Tal vez el solista debería tener un micrófono, para que se le escuche mejor.
