I mean The Poltergeist was rated PG and the remake Poltergeist was directed by the same director who did monster house. And I absolutely loved the monster house, it scared me as a kid and what I find the scene most terrifying is DJ's sleeping while the shadow of the monster house crawling into his room and then grabs DJ. This movie was so unique, very interesting about the story, characters and the monster house of itself. It just gives me vibes of the movie called "The Grudge", because once when you step in that house it will never let you go. And I thought the reboot version was better than the original of the grudge movies, because the reboot version was more scary, dark and very jumpy sometimes, even though the reboot didn't get the best track record of rotten tomatoes, but I still find this movie one of my all time favorites. And great review by the way, and I always remember your old review of tmnt and I still never forget about it to this day.
Also, can I just say that this is one of the few movies I've seen that actually did something different with the Death Fakeout trope? Normally, it's used for the main protagonist or a character people liked so that they don't get sad. Here, it's used for the cranky old man: a character that actually gets "killed off" pretty early and came off as unlikeable, but then SURPRISE, he's not only not dead, but has a sympathetic side to him. Gotta give the movie props for that. :)
You always talk about my favorite childhood movies. I love hearing about what you have to say and the commentary you add. It’s so nice seeing your channel grow!
I only saw the scene where the house almost ate Penny when I was really little and it traumatized me forever. Same with that face melting scene from Indiana Jonez
If this movie was scary enough as a motion-capture animation, imagine if it was live-action. The house with a combination of CGI and practical effects, the characters with enough development, and the movie be rated PG-13.
The old man scarred me as a kid
The dvd menu to this movie was what scared me
@@PixelMindProductions oh wow you just unlocked a memory I forgot I had
@@RyanBeaneWatching a movie brings me annoyances
The machine chowder uses against the house is called an Excavator
Constance's story was really sad. Monster House literally makes me cry. He loved her so much.

@@RyanBeane tmnt 2007 will always be the classic😊

I swear one thing I adore about your content is your not afraid to say you love a movie that nobody on earth ever bothers to talk about
I pride myself on that, thank you
This movie doesn't scare me but I really like it. It's a very underrated movie. It needs to be appreciated more
