the feel of no longer human is when you feel very isolated wherever you are in, you are searching for something that can fill the void inside you, you can't understand what is needed to be a real human, what it feels to be like the one of them, you strarted to questoning your very exsistence, are you a human? or some kind of other creature?

@Potato i guess what they meant about is a book name "no longer human" by Dazai Osamu, people said it's a good book, I think I'm gonna read it someday

    • @sinpfiec1047

@@alicee1412 yeah it is a good semibiographical book about a man learning being how to be a human... Yeah also if you haven't read it yet, I recommend it man, it's kinda depressing but not so much, Demian by Hermann Hesse is a good book too, it's a semi biographical too
      sorry for talking too much

if anyone is looking for a similar music vibe to the book "No longer human" I highly recommend you September sparky death cap "the instrumental version" it fits the book so right. It's not happy or sad, it's an indescribable state.

As someone with ADHD this is comforting because I usually feel detached from humans simply because I can't relate to neurotypical people. I just don't fit.

Just read one line from the book to my mum, she said "I'm just concerned why are you unhappy?". The only thing I could tell her was "I'm not happy, but I'm not unhappy either. I'm somewhere in between." Hope she didn't realise it was another pitiful lie of mine.

I really love this part of Donald Keene's Translator's Introduction: “... a man who is orphaned from his fellows by their refusal to take him seriously. He is denied the love of his father, taken advantage of by his friends, and finally in turn is cruel to the women who love him. He does not insist because of his experiences that the others are all wrong and he alone right. On the contrary, he records with devastating honesty his every transgression of a code of human conduct which he cannot fathom. Yet, as Dazai realized (if the “I” of the novel did not), the cowardly acts and moments of abject collapse do not tell the whole story. In a superb epilogue the only objective witness testifies, “He was an angel,” and we are suddenly made to realize the incompleteness of Yozo’s portrait of himself. In the way that most men fail to see their own cruelty, Yozo had not noticed his gentleness and his capacity for love.”

I usually like to hear a review or to read a part of a book before buying it myself, so I did this with no longer human. there was an audio of someone reading the book, their voce was soothing and the story was beautiful. it wasn't beautiful in the emotional way, neither the logical way, but something in between. I bought the book as soon as I possibly could, and I read it quite fast. it was so impactul, and I related to so many aspects of it. I adore the way dazai writes, he manages to write about such deep and hard to explain topics in a straightforward way. you don't see that often. this playlist fits the book well, also the character of dazai.
