I remember when I stopped trying to clean my house all in one go, and instead embrace the fact that I have ADHD and like to check things off. Now I have a reoccurring list in todoist of all the things to clean in each room and I just do what I can manage for 15 mins a day. It makes a huge difference on my motivation!
I appreciate the honesty in recognizing that everyone is at a different place and has different circumstances to deal with in their lives... that life is fluid. I think I can do this.
It just stuck in my head, and I know I am going to rewatch this again and again because it is actually something I was looking for. Lovely way of explanation and so glad to see this. Thank you so much for the impactful video
Timely video that showed up on my feed. I was in the midst of clearing emails and organizing tasks. I’ll keep these pointers in mind and revamp my to-do board view - yes the board view is my favourite! ❤
I have adhd and when I’m off my game I don’t even look at my todoist! When I’m on my game it helps me feel like a ninja 🥷. I’ve wobbled off my game in a big way over the last few months but this video has given me inspiration to face the doom of my neglected todoist. Thank you!
This was a great video. As someone who ebbs and flows when it comes to organizing and getting things done without guilt or frustration this video made a lot of sense to me
Great stuff. My favorite way to ensure I'm organized and always moving in the right direction is to "sharpen the saw" intentionally every week. I set five quarterly goals, which are based on my annual goals and are from each of these categories: family, social, professional, education, and spiritual. Every week, during my weekly review, the first thing I do is add one thing from each that will move me meaningfully toward my goal.
You invite us to reflect on ourselves without a sense of guilt! That is very kind, and those questions you propose are precise! I need to start answering them ASAP
Brilliant video Naomi as usual. I prefer to use the terminology strive for progress not perfection, by embracing consistency over perfection is what truly transforms average to excellence. Keep up the great work at DOIST.
Wow, this is the most useful piece of advice I've seen for a very long time. So much essence in such a short video. I will save it and come back to it regularly as a reminder. Well done Naomi and well done Todoist! 👌
Had a yearly review planned for my birthday today and Todoist posted this video! Thank you for this - looking forward to reviewing the templates and answering the framework questions
I was already enjoying the bloopers, but “[incomprehensible despair]” is now officially my favorite subtitle of all times and the name of my next Depeche Mode cover band. But seriously… this was a really good video. I have pretty bad ADHD so forming habits is really hard. I’ve had to create a plethora of systems to help develop and sustain healthy routines. Most notably I have a project/list in my Todoist called ‘Habits’ for all the items that I need to do regularly but not every day. Daily items are subtasks under a repeating item like “Morning Routine,” “Evening Routine,” etc. So thanks again. I picked up a few new ideas and reinforced some others.
I really appreciated this video. So often these kinds of things come off as very ableist, and as someone who struggles with a cocktail of chronic pain, neurodivergence, and caring for someone else on a daily basis, these things are complicated! Would love more videos in this vein, and especially anything tailored to ADHD/Autism, and dealing with variable energy and ability levels. Still gonna keep asking for a habit tracker in Todoist too! I just renewed my Todoist for another year 💪 so I'd rather give my chance to someone that can't afford it.
Thanks for sharing. I definitely go on a task deleting spree once in a while because there's never enought time. So I prioritize and delete what's not important 😌 I also had weekly planning sessions once, but fell off. This makes me want to get back, and introduce the "review" part instead of just planning.
Thank you. This was helpful in a time of my life when I feel most disorganised. I can relate to many things you’ve mentioned and especially the fact it seems most people don’t care and perfection really resonates. will definitely give asking those questions a go and look at the todoist templates. Have a lovely day.
Great video, as always. Just a thought that pops up around decluttering the task list: Sometimes I think David Allen’s (GTD) recommendation of the “mind dump” into the Inbox was his *least* helpful contribution. It’s so much easier to add than subtract; especially for creatives who can generate ideas all day but find prioritization tricky, the mind dump becomes a shame factory. 🙄
I highly recommend Nir Eyal's book Indistractable. Some similar ideas and some great structured thinking about organization and minimizing distraction. Also, thank you for being human and showing the outtakes at the end! ;-)
Thanks for this video. I wish a have seen it years ago to simplify my „organisation“. I will surely seeing the video some more times a looking what i could implement in my life. If theres a result i will come back in several weeks, and post my experience here.
Thanks so much for all of your videos. They are helping me find the balance between structure and flexibility. You and all of the Todoist folks are excellent presenters.
Great video, some real nuggets, you mention a few authors, do you have a list of all of the authors that inspired this video or was that all of them? My favourite tip is the one about being a perfectionist. I can't say how many times that has lead me to not getting something done.
Thanks for the video and for the product…I’d love a video in his the heck to get started when you’re buried under inbox >10,000? Do I just burn the lot…..?
Hey there! I'm a new subscriber and have been binge-watching your videos. On day one of using some of the skills you mentioned, I've already seen a massive difference! Could you share some tips on fitness tracking using the app or, maybe better yet, how to seamlessly weave healthy habits into a daily routine? (PS. I already have pro but if you're still deciding on a giveaway, I would love to get a year free for my partner.) (PPS. imma be mad if you stop making videos)

I've recently decided that I'm going to have to take this approach as well.
Consistency over perfection is such a game changer once it sinks in. You end up being a million times more productive!

I live for these bloopers. They absolutely make my day

I always get frazzled for having too many things that needs to be done and not planning ahead. This is very informative and helpful. Thanks
Excellent as always! Naomi's videos are informative, thought provoking, down to earth and most of all doable.
I am addicted to this series now ❤❤

I don't know if I am here to listen to organization tips or her lovely accent. She has beautiful elocution.
This was a great video. As someone who ebbs and flows when it comes to organizing and getting things done without guilt or frustration this video made a lot of sense to me
Perfect timing for a spring clean of my to do list!
Tks Naomi! My lige will change with your information. Thank you so much!
Great video! Thank you for sharing. As always, love the bloopers!
I love organization but just haven't had a structure to follow. Love all the videos!

Thanks for your videos Noemi. They are really very useful for me. keep it up please
Such a helpful video, thank you! The piece that hit hardest for me was letting go of perfection.
First time I've checked out the Todoist videos. This was excellent! Will definitely make watching your videos as part of my routine!

Loved this, thank you! As an ADHDer any help and advice is gratefully received!
Love the comment " Done is better than Perfection" I am so going to put this statement into practice. Thanks for sharing your great tips.
Helpful - and it bolsters my "mental acquisition" when I write it out in my notebook.
I love this app and all the support provided, such as these videos! Thanks!
Great video, I find the framework questions very empowering. Thank you!
I found framing questions at the end of this video very helpful. Thanks!
Another great video! Keep it up, Naomi and Team Todoist!.
Thanks for the framework questions. Lots of food for thought.
Great tips, thanks!
Thank you for this video, I've been meaning to read that article but never had the time to sit down and read it. 😅
I highly recommend Nir Eyal's book Indistractable. Some similar ideas and some great structured thinking about organization and minimizing distraction. Also, thank you for being human and showing the outtakes at the end! ;-)
Thanks Naomi, another great video. As a GTD enthusiast, I love the extra thoughts and framework offered in this video. :)
5:02 Love the YNAB mention! I’m as big of a fan of it as I am Todoist.

This is quite insightful
Great video & insights. Looking for the templates that are mentioned...

very nice thank you!
Thanks so much for all of your videos. They are helping me find the balance between structure and flexibility. You and all of the Todoist folks are excellent presenters.
Good tips. It's good to review, even having the tools like Todoist it can become stale and just a tick box exercise.
You have very nice energy Naomi. I feel calmer just watching. You should do Yoga and Meditation videos! You'd be a natural!
Great video! thanks
Great advice!
Thank you. I liked the Framework question part at 10:20 Thank you 🙏

I wasn't rolling my eyes. 😂
I just love Todoist videos
First to comment! Great video, I'm heading to the How to Organize Your Life article. (Sure, I could use a year of Pro!)
MUY INTERESANTE Y MUY UTIL TAMBIEN GRACIAS
I have a paper productivity system and I am a new user of Todoist. I am struggling how to incorporate both so ideas would be appreciated 😊
❤ Thank you
It begins with Trust yourself!
