I recently swapped to a baseball grip and it has really brought my dispersion in, I used to be heavy right hand fade/slice and this seems to have helped
happy to hear you even mention the push slice because that plagued me for a couple of years lol and most youtube lessons/tips only talk about an out-to-in slice
Pete.. Great video mate. Im a 4 hcp that has totally lost my swing. irons are as good as ever.. but I just can't close the club face with driver. used to hook it. fixed that now push slice.. this video was like a aha moment for me.. I've been focusing so much on my take away, and trying to bow the wrist at the top. but its killed my power. driver swing feels so Robotic and weak. the knuckle dragging on the ground is where ill start
I love this and it is actually helpful. Could you and the Swing Quest team maybe look at the mindset of playing club competition golf. Hitting balls on the range is bliss and everything seems tickety-boo but stepping up to those back tees when it matters and 3 others watching is a whole different story!! I'd say most people know me as a robust human but the game of golf is a superb leveller.
This is exactly what I needed, I'm in the push slice camp... Can't imagine how hard this was for Pete who's miss is seems to be a overdraw/hook left 😂 well in Pete! 🙌🏻
Even if I was as good a Tiger (which I’m not of course). I’d watch every Swingquest video for entertainment and just enjoying the presentation. On top of class instructions 👍🏼
Trouble is the dragging the knuckles thought would most likely cause a bit of chicken wing and handle dragging as you hold the lead forearm which should invert for speed through impact. It’s the laser out the end of the handle conversation
Pete Pete Pete can you possibly do a request please. I struggle to rotate the lower half of my body fast and bring my knee through on impact, the legs are quite static and rotate to late, my swing then breaks down and my left wrist cups and the club exits lower left, creating a cutting kind of motion. can you help or have you got any drills that can help with this?
I always struggle with the wrists. I know what I'm supposed to do and feel, but man, it doesn't feel good (hurts, especially at ground impact) and I feel like a loose all control of the club head, lowpoint and so on.
I had a similar experience. Turns out that I was way exaggerating the writs and unnecessarily. My problem was with lower body mechanics and rotation. Maybe check that you have that part squared away. It helped me to exaggerate with ball placement a little closer and positioned properly (an inch or two forward of center). This is why Hack Motion didn't quite do what I wanted. It was telling me I had a problem but manipulating wrist angles without proper body rotation isn't productive.
I was doing this wrist flex early on this past season. I was getting the huge hook but i didn’t know it was a “good” thing ..i was having difficulty finding the happy median between snap hook or push/ push slice, and a flexed wrist doesnt “feel” very powerful…so i didn t stick with it and m7 swing got all F’ed up for the whole season ,worst of my life after a great start 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️. My point being i need to get back to this (along with straIght left arm with connected elBows ) as main swing thoughts and just work it out with small adjustments ..and it may be what you need too…? If youre anything like me when you stopped flexing the wrist you started exaggerating getting the club head to the ball first (flicking ) and couldnt find anywhere near a good /consistent release to match that …? So it was a series of :one great long ball straight down fairway 300yrds, next high push sl9ce , next over correct and a snap Hook like 15 ft in the air , rinse and repeat for complete frustration that worked its way through almost every club 😡😡🤷🏼♂️.for me im going to try this type of flexing again one more time before maybe finally after 33 yrs taking a lesson if i cant figure it out 😂
I watched a million "fix my slice" videos and have made a lot of these changes. Now my miss is typically what I will generously call an "over-draw." But hey, I'm losing fewer balls.
I disagree. I had an over the top swing for 25 years and fixed it. It took a lot of work with a good coach, but I did it. If I can change my path, anyone can.

40 hours? I’m playing in 10!
😂
minutes?
Pete. Make a video to stop hooking the ball please 🙏🙏
Just do the opposite of what he did in this video ;)
Just what I need, Thanks Pete

Can anyone out there explain how you do not have 100,000 subscribers already? This is some of the best instruction around.
Hack motion going crazy rn

If only I could play a fade.
😂😂😂
Honest to god it's almost impossible.
If I aim left it goes left dead straight.
Normal.shot is a draw.
Hack motion is $200+
It is worth every penny I promise
Please everyone just watch Liam Robinsons stuff & find out why he is now coaching the majority of mini tour players
Small caveat: changing your CLUB PATH is the hardest thing to achieve in golf. Some of you will never be able to do that.....
