  • Los Angeles is in rapid decline due to street conditions and online sales, I’m walking Broadway Street from 3rd to 12th streets, in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles , what once was the city's main commercial street and is the location of the Broadway Theater and Commercial District, it used to have twelve movie palaces located along a six-block stretch of Broadway, and now it’s reduced to one.
Los Angeles, often referred to by its initials L.A., is the Second most populous city in the United States, behind only New York City it is also the commercial, center of Southern California, and I know that LA it’s not only one street but I have to start somewhere and to avoid making a three hour video. I will divide it into many videos for you to enjoy and experience Los Angeles like you have never seen it before.

@@LeoMetalTravelerI like your vids & have shared them with my brother. Coincidentally, I just finished writing him about this vid: “Just watched another vid documenting the ghost town effect of abandoned commercial properties. This one was Downtown LA. Unbelievable! There’s such blight! Though a lot of properties have For Lease signage, they’re never going to be leased again amidst the graffitied squalor all around the boarded-up properties. Retail, restaurants, theaters, office space….its all gone for good. The inner cities have become wastelands with all sorts of sketchy people wandering around. It’s truly shocking to see. I was very familiar with the Downtown LA area at day & night - it was thriving! Plenty of hustle and bustle, throngs of people shopping, dining, out on the town at entertainment venues. Now, it’s only sparsely populated with the sketchy & poor. Same goes for the other places I’ve seen documented by this particular videographer: San Fran, Oakland, Sacramento. Places I’ve personally known in their hay-day in the mid-‘70’s. It makes it all that much more surreal to me. All this has GOT to have a significant impact on the country’s overall economic health, because it’s multiplied throughout other major cities across the country. / It makes me wonder: these properties are gone for good; no one will ever want to lease them again; the inner cities will remain ghost towns until they’re turn down….but who would ever sink money into the demolition and for what purpose?! There’s zero ROI for doing so.”

Shortly before the Mayflower sailed from England to North America in 1620, Satan gave the anointing to England and its people to "Go up and take the land. I'm giving you the land. Fear not, for I am with you."
So they did, and eventually a mighty nation emerged from the original English settlements.
But sometime during the 1950s, Satan took the anointing away from the white people of Western Europe, and gave it to the African-Americans. And they have been working for roughly the last 70 years to tear down what the white people built, and replace it with a new nation of their own, dominated by non-white people, and with a new constitution, a new flag, a new currency, etc.

cities are really bad at adapting to changed economic conditions. look at the rust belt and how long it took for places like Detroit or Cleveland to really hit bottom--several decades--and there's neighborhoods in Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh that are permanently wrecked... but back in the 1950s there was probably some landlord looking for top dollar for retail space that then went vacant for 70+ years. think of all the cost tied up in all that infrastructure that needs regular maintenance, etc...

Born and raised in LA, lived in SF and LA, and worked in DTLA high rises until retiring early 9 years ago. It’s NEVER been like this, where businesses were all boarded up. Bad policies have disastrous consequences! Crazy how far the cities I once called home have dissolved in my lifetime.

Logan’s Run, one of my favorites as a kid, it’s still a classic, imo. It was actually filmd inside of a Dallas mall and then at the Fort Worth Water Gardens, for the scene where they finally first got outside of The Domed City. (I’m from Big D🎃).
