Whenever I think about comic book characters outside of DC and Marvel. I always think of TMNT, Hellboy, The Mask, Spawn, Judge Dredd, The Boys & The Incredibles.
We need a Judge 2 and a new Spawn. Spawn was awesome back in the day. Same with Blade at first who I always forget is a Marvel character. Definitely need all three made into more Rated R movies. Dredd was fantastic IMO. Oh and Hell Boy 3 with GdT back as director. I didn't care for the first movie much yet the second one was a master piece.
At least TMNT joined Batman during a massive crossover between DC (WarnerMedia) and Nickelodeon (Viacom International) which is kinda similar to X-O Manowar joining Iron Man in some video game crossover for Super NES.
@@dianapennepacker6854 I almost agreed with everything you said except for the hellboy part. Because I couldn't stand Hellboy 2, but I loved the 1st one.
The Crow is one of my favorite comic book heroes and movies because the film took place in Detroit where my mother grew up. In addition, the emotional weight the movie had made me cry like a baby the first time I saw it, and it still holds up to this day.
Al Simmons went from mercenary to a very powerful antihero with supernatural abilities. Comic book icon, Venom & Spawn creator Todd MacFarlane did such an amazing job for over 30 years.
The Darkness comic series needs to be brought back since it has two games, and formal mob hit Jackie Estacado have a one time cross paths with DC Comic’s Batman.
This is a recent addition but I think Edison Crane of Prodigy should’ve made this list too. From the same creator of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, Mark Millar, Edison Crane is the world’s smartest man and most successful businessman who uses his knowledge and resources to save the world from any type of threat, no matter how obscure. Edison Crane is also an Occult Expert, an Olympic- level athlete, Noble Prize winning scientist, and a Gifted Composer. I can’t wait to see what he’s gonna do in Mark Millar’s epic crossover comic series Big Game.
I love the Hargreeves family, they make me feel a bit better about my own dysfunctional clan. It's a shame that Season 4 will be the last one, but at least they're not unnecessarily dragging it out.
I would say my top for third-party superheroes on this list would be the phantom, the crow, Hellboy, and spawn Those are my favorites. If I can find any adaptations of the other heroes on this list, I check them out also, if there was another part to this video, the green hornet and the shadow should get some mentioned as well.
Tha Maxx is missing and is pretty interesting, albeit not a traditional super hero. BUT... if non-powered heroes like The Phantom, The Rocketeer, The Spirit and Dredd are on the list... then I definitely think Flash Gordon should have a spot.
While I'm not necessarily a fan of what his animated series portrayed Mark Grayson, I am happy a lot of people get to see what he's about. That being said: God,I love being a Turtle (fan)!
What? That’s how Mark was in the comics too. And it’s apart of his arc: he starts out as a teenage, inexperienced hero, and eventually becomes the benevolent leader of the viltrumites.
@@Lutherstrode17492 No. Kirkman, who is working on the show, got his wires crossed and put Middle-of-series-end-of-series Mark in the beginning. In the beginning of Mark's career, he was good at juggling his superhero life and his personal life because he had good time management skills and was competent. Also, he joked a lot more because of how carefree he was. Which is why his fight against his dad in the comics was so devastating because it was the first time Mark not only struggled but lost.
@@Just_Some_Guy_with_a_Mustache that’s not how I remember it, but you’re probably right. Although, that does sound boring from a storytelling perspective. Seeing a hero struggle, both as a hero and as a person, is a lot more interesting, and I think Kirkman realized that. The show was basically his second chance to tell the story of Invincible, better.
@@Lutherstrode17492 Invincible was special because _every_ story was about the hero struggling for no reason. And then when an actual conflict happened, you felt it. It's a webnovel rather than a comic, but you should read "Worm" by Wildbow, it's free to read. Basically it's set in 2011, heroes have been a thing since the 80s and all of the 'Big' things that you think of like multiverses, kaiju, the formation of super-teams has all happened and the mechanics of how someone gets powers are understood. Cut to Taylor Hebert, 15 year old who has been bullied at school to the point of triggering her own superpowers; who decides to go out on patrol with a makeshift suit, trying to take on a local gang and get the attention of the local hero team....What actually happens is she manages to clusterfuck her way into actually joining a supervillain gang and becoming a warlord.
