You might want to make newer one when Across the Spider-Verse goes onto digital. There's a big twist in that one. Apologies if you haven't seen it and I gave Spoilers.
Ozymandias starting his master plan 25 minutes ago was a great twist, and I'm glad they kept it in the movie. Was hoping to see the psychic squid monster, though.
Some other good twists - Syndrome is Buddy Pine (The Incredibles) - Joker imagined the relationship (Joker) - America was involved in Project Starfish (The Suicide Squad) - Black Adam’s true origin (Black Adam) - Miles ends up in another universe (Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse)
There is a theory that the reason he wasn’t “worthy” and couldn’t wield mlojnr in Avengers 2 was because he found out in CA2: Winter Soldier but was keeping it secret from Tony.
The fact Bucky was horribly brainwashed to do these things and Iron Man is still willingly to kill Bucky, shows how terrible a person he was, and the cause for many of the MCUs biggest issues. Then he has the audacity to blame Cap for “not being there” 😂
@@rioncurtis7211 Yes he should have the audacity to blame Steve, because Steve had the audacity to lecture Tony about people need to be honest, while he literally kept the secret about Tony’s parents’ death. Steve Rogers was a hypocrite who lied when it suited him. Bucky being brainwashed doesn’t change the emotional reality of what Tony feels having to watch his parents be murdered on that video tape. It was still Bucky’s hands who did it, who choked the life out of his mother. Saying someone is a horrible person because they are reacting to understandable trauma is ridiculous, though I guess expected from people who’ve never been through something like this and just thinks themselves better and superior.
The Elijah Price reveal is still heartbreaking, no matter how many times it has been seen. And then the "They called me Mr. Glass" line makes him even more sympathetic, because children can be real villains themselves...
I'm pretty sure a terrorist who blows up random stuff just to prove that people with superpowers exist is more of a villain than dumb kids who called him bad names.

The best bit to me about the Spiderman scene with Michael Keaton was that despite how chilling and intimidating he was, and how tense a scene it was, Peter wasn't even considering stopping for a second. As soon as he's out the car he's back in action. Course I guess Vulture doesn't know at this point how fast and strong Spiderman is, and that the threat itself is pretty laughable, but still.
I love the way watchhh Mojo summarizes things to my understanding and to my interest. This is such a needed channel I visited every day. You guys rock! Keep up the good work.
I agree with the other person that replied but I can see why they messed up because MJ is most of the Mary Jane. I have watched the MCU Spiderman movies the first one I don't know how many times I still have trouble getting used to Zandaya's MJ not being Mary Jane.
Many fans, myself included, practically knew Mysterio was really a villain, but the big twist was more ‘why’ he was a villain; or basically, what his plan was
A point about picking Dent was said in the movie that it wasn’t down to The Joker switching them, but instead, Batman and the officers making a combined decision to rescue Dent over Rachel. The twist still works perfectly, as the entire scene plays as if Batman saves Rachel and Dent lives to become Two-Face, but instead, flips that on its head for one of the most believable origins to the Two-Face antagonist ever written. The Dark Knight as a whole, is a masterpiece in superhero storytelling.
When Logan was released in theatre, I went though unexpected that Charles was going to die, but I remembered the audience gasped not with his death but the replica of Wolverine.
@@Bardim18 Nope. They were enemies of the F4 and the Avengers since their intorduction. Later they made a rebel group called Cadre K an ally of the X-Men.
Joker knew that Batman would choose to save Rachel over Harvey, having exploited Batman's weakness when he threw Rachel off the building, and Batman saving her. He also wanted to break Batman emotionally (other than break Harvey mentally), maybe he figured out that Batman and Rachel were acquainted.
I thought it was so obvious that the Joker lied about their locations. I have to think that Bruce would’ve seen through it if he had more than just a split second to make his decision.
It's a very interesting list, though I must say that it lacks one of the biggest plot twist in this genre. "Split" ending scene with Bruce Willis, which reveals that the film is actually a sequel to "Unbreakable" 17 years after its release is mind-blowing. Which shouldn't surprise by now, when it comes to films written & directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
@@wreckitrigo230 It was also known from the comics that Bucky isn't dead, and that Ozymandias did it by the time Nite Owl and Rorschach reached his base. Neither made the movie twist a lesser one.
Big Hero 6's villian plot twist -- without spoiling it for everyone else in these comments who has not seen it -- results in an understandable but impractical action.
Pretty cool list. It's supprising Jason is Superman's son. Haven't seen the movie but. Supprising. Also when Charles spoke to clone. Joker did brilliant switch. Even more shocking is Rachel's death. Brilliant move. Number 1 is pretty shocking. Shield is Hydra. Unbelievable. It's like Palpatine,Jedi and the Republic. Great list :)
The biggest twist of the Dark Knight, if you watch MatPat's theories, is that the Joker is actually Gotham's true hero. Sure, he murdered innocent Rachel and destroyed Harvey's life, but above all, his plan was strategic and brilliant in a way that only the Joker can be. His methods were awful, but Batman's failure as a hero was even more impactful. If Batman were actually successful as a hero, Gotham wouldn't have been safe, but Joker planned everything in a way that arguably saved Gotham itself from its own internal corruption. If you don't know what I mean, check out MatPat's theory on how Joker saved Gotham, and you'll see why. Rachel's death was cruel, but the cruelest twist of all is that her murderer saved Gotham City without us ever realizing it..
I'm pretty sure it's revealed that Bucky killed Tony's parents in The Winter Soldier when Cap and Nat found out Hydra was in SHIELD when the news headlines were flashing on screen.
It's revealed, or at least implied that it is Hydra in a clip we actually see in this video, and given his role in the film, Winter Soldier is a likely culprit, but we don't get confirmation until Tony does.
13:33 LOL I learned the Power of Forgiveness while watching Spiderman: Homecoming. They changed EVERYBODY in the film, except Peter and the Vulture. They changed the races of characters and made NED LEEDS Pete's best-friend. But, the payoff of the VULTURE being Liz's dad was too priceless to complain that this fact in the movie steers far from the comics. The movie was so good (& the fact that there is a Spiderverse), allowed the filmmaker and screenwriters to change everything from FLASH THOMPSON's physique to BETTY BRANDT's age! If the movie were not such a good story, all the changes they made would have been pointed-out by the fans as reasons the film failed. Yet, it didn't.

Who wouldn’t want a Compass Card with Batman on it!
Um, how about the guy we thought was the Mandarin actually being a drug-addicted actor? Whether you liked that twist or not, it definitely belongs on this list.
I think the Russo brothers - the directors - said in an interview that Cap was surprised, but the exchange was civil, since the Red Skull had abandoned his dreams of conquest decades ago, and was content to play his role in Vormir.
In “The Batman”, the reveal that Bruce’s father’s association with the mob inadvertently created The Riddler, as well as the revelation that The Riddler planted bombs along Gotham’s dam were major twists I didn’t see coming
Michael Keaton made it multiple times. Those who know will understand. Also #1 should have been Wolverine plot twist. The japanese soldier that Logan saved is actually the silver samurai who wants to steal Logan's healing factor and abilities.
I knew about the plot twist in Superman Returns. The few times I watched it, my dad & I talked about it. Between Jason pushing the piano and the kryptonite. We kept saying it's Superman aka Clark's son. When I went to see Guardians Vol. 2, that was a shocker. Same with Spiderman Homecoming and Far From Home.
I'm surprised Thanos making the Snap didn't get on the list. We all expected the Avengers to pull out a win- good guys win, bad guys lose, standard formula. Instead we ended that film with half the cast dead, and the villain victorious.
In Far From Home, he's not trying to start a relationship with MARY JANE... Zendaya's character is named Michelle Jones-Watson. MJ stands for Michelle Jones.

Maybe this is not exactly a plot twist, but in Superman 2 he outsmarted General Zod by reversing where the molecule chamber that took away a Kryptonian’s powers operated.
Seeing all these films makes me love and admire the cbm genre even more. I understand and accept most comic book adaptations are very divisive now, but I still appreciate the ppl behind these projects for still bringing these characters to life. That’s why I try not to be so hard on the genre because there’s something for everyone. I personally loved She-Hulk but I can understand why others hated it, I personally dislike The Flash but I can understand why some are defending it. The studios make more than enough money to pay the actors and writers what they’re demanding because if not, we won’t get anymore films like the ones in the video.
For Batman begins movie I wasn’t surprised by Al ghul identity due to his look and persona thanks to watching the animated series but I was definitely surprised by his daughter reveal as well joker switch up cause I thought Rachel will be his lover until later.
We won’t be including animated films because we have that covered on another list. So where is that list at? And what is the title because I can't find it.
They put out 6 videos a day for ever how many years this sloppy cashgrab has been in operation. Needle in a haystack to find a specific one. On the bright side, you should be able to find dozens that are basically the same shit, rehashed.
Seen all. Top 5 from the list The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Batman for reasons of familiarity, MCU ones Black Panther and Captain America Civil War not a big fan of franchise but they would in my top 5 favourite MCU films. Weakest ones Captain Marvel and Spider-Man Far From Home.
IMO, the mysterio twist was poorly done, mainly because it was obvious he would be the villain but his speech at the bar seemed to be the writers claiming “we’re so smart, nobody saw this coming”
I'll call out the animated Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay. And I think it's such an amazing twist that I'm actually going to avoid spoiling it. Only hit "Read More" if you're okay with spoilers Alright then. Movie has plenty of twists and turns, starting with when the Squad realizes their main problem on the mission to recover a magical "Get out of Hell" card is the Flash Villain, Zoom. He's quite desperate to get his hands on the card, and would normally be powerful enough to kill the entire Suicide Squad in a few seconds. Only in the last moments of the film does he take off his mask and reveals that he's The Exact Same Character from the previous Flashpoint movie, that ended with an alternate Batman shooting him in the head. He still has the lethal wound, but is using his powers of time and speed to stretch out the last moments of his alternate dimension death, which explains why he needs the card so badly.
9:42-9:52 In the MCU, it's Michelle Jones, not Mary Jane. Check your info properly! The reveal of HYDRA existing within S.H.I.E.L.D. from "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is easily the best plot twist in superhero movies, especially since it affects MCU TV shows such as "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.".
1. Captain America Civil War 2. Captain America The Winter Soldier 3. Thor Ragnarok 4. The Dark Knight 5. The Dark Knight Rises 6. Spiderman Homecoming 7. Spiderman No Way Home

The studios make more than enough money to pay the actors and writers what they’re demanding because if not, we won’t get anymore films like the ones in the video.
Captain America: Winter Soldier and the Dark Knight are the best comic based movies so far
Yess
Best plot twist from the best solo comic book movie! Finally! WM got this one right.
TDK plot twist could be seen from Mars though...
9:51 Uh, you mean, Michelle Jones.
Yeah, I kept on waiting for the Skrull families to transform back into their real warrior forms, and start some shit. Will admit that one got me
For Batman begins movie I wasn’t surprised by Al ghul identity due to his look and persona thanks to watching the animated series but I was definitely surprised by his daughter reveal as well joker switch up cause I thought Rachel will be his lover until later.
*The whole shield/Hydra thing just seemed confusing to me. But I really had to pay attention more to CA: winter soldier and movies following that.*
Unbreakable is such an underrated film
We won’t be including animated films because we have that covered on another list.
So where is that list at? And what is the title because I can't find it.
They put out 6 videos a day for ever how many years this sloppy cashgrab has been in operation. Needle in a haystack to find a specific one. On the bright side, you should be able to find dozens that are basically the same shit, rehashed.
I think that Shield being Hydra is the best Twist in Super heromovies.
You gotta include some animated superhero movie moments, like how Jack-Jack is revealed to have powers after all in The Incredibles
TBH I’m glad it’s all live action moments because if Across The Spider-Verse was included that would be spoilers for me
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought Red Skull actually died in The First Avenger.
“You know the hex was the easy part… the lying….. not so much.”
You could probably add Rorschach dropping off the evidence he had against Ozymandias. Perfect story
Have watched all of them except Unbreakable.
All of them were some of the best but my favorite is Ego's revelation to Peter about the Tumor
You should do a top 10 Father's day gifts. Ether most common or worst & best.
If Captain America had to give back the soul stone he saw Red Skull imagine that
Captain America Civil War is like Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's a twist within a twist. 17:29
Watchmen will always be one of my favorite Zack Snyder movies as well as one of my favorites superhero movies of all time!
Yup glad you still put that in your number 1
18:36 HARVEY DENT is Will Smith in "I, ROBOT" and BATMAN is the robot who saved him, instead of the little girl.
I always knew that the red skull survived, but no one believed me.
Miles as the prowler was wild too
I think Joker planning to get caught all along was a bigger twist!
Lego batman?
@Quenterro. Lol, love that movie. But no, The Dark Knight!
@@popenectar1907 o ok
Man superheroe films rarely are unpredictable
Especially the ones from the MCU
@@RayMcElroy50 facts
2:48. Oh look, it's Ray Palmer's Kryptonion dobbleganger.
Where’s Martha twist that was the best plot twist I ever seen
The Ras Al-Guhl and the Vulture ones weren't twists at all. They threw those right in your face throughout the whole film.
Sandman was the best thing about Spiderman 3.
Bro, emo Peter? Come on. You know you love it.
Yeah bro, the scene after he transform is seriously good, and it shows raining wanted to focus only on sandman
Not calling uncle bens death a canon event was a missed opportunity
IMO, the mysterio twist was poorly done, mainly because it was obvious he would be the villain but his speech at the bar seemed to be the writers claiming “we’re so smart, nobody saw this coming”
Still cool to see him in live action
I'll call out the animated Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay. And I think it's such an amazing twist that I'm actually going to avoid spoiling it.
Only hit "Read More" if you're okay with spoilers
Alright then.
I love that twist
The best plot twist in a superhero film was when Tony Stark revealed he was Iron Man.
I’m assuming this may have to do with the rules but “his name is Peter Parker” was the shock of the decade.
I’d say the bigger shock from that scene was that J. Jonah Jameson is the same regardless of spider-dimension.
@@54raynor that shook the Theatre when I went for sure
at 9:50 (or something) you said mary jane, int he mcu its michelle jones(mj), not mary jane(mj)
Bucky being alive and revealed as the winter soldier didn't make the list? 🤔
Also Dark Knight Rises when Miranda revealed to the child of Ra's Al Ghul
that's as much of a twist as Bruce Wayne being revealed as Batman.
Well the Bucky being alive thing isn’t exactly a twist, people had been expecting that as long as they knew the comic plot
@@CaptainPikeachu exactly..
TOP FATHER FIGURES IN COMICS, PLEASE!!
The plot twist of Logan was Professor X being responsible for the deaths. In the comics is Wolverine.

2. Captain America The Winter Soldier
3. Thor Ragnarok
4. The Dark Knight
5. The Dark Knight Rises
