The real Arcia is the same one you have seen all year. Low OPB, lots of ground balls and strike outs. And one of the slowest runners I have seen Murphy will bounce back next year
I’d like to address your comment about the Mets playing with confidence. Yes, they are but the Braves played with confidence the entirety of the 2023 season & at the start of postseason. I’d like you to listen to an interview Kevin Pillar did on Foul Territory 4 months ago right after he was dfa’d. He was on that 2021 Met team who had a nice lead over the Braves. He noticed that near the end of the year the clubhouse & dugout had expectations that something was going to go wrong & when something went wrong, it snowballed. He felt completely different playing for Braves & Dodgers. They had a winning mentality and it showed. So, my long winded comment it that a lot of the 2021 guys are still there, the psychotic fan base is still there, the media who will remind them of their history with the Braves is still there. We win that first game (which I am not happy Sale won’t be starting) and all those doubts will start germinating once again. Even Sal Licata will start screaming lol. It’s been a very frustrating year and I can’t believe we still have a fighting chance the last week of the season, but we so.

Didn't realize that both the Diamondbacks and Mets are tied for a wild card 2 games ahead of us. First; though the Braves have to get at least 2 of 3 from the Mets it not a sweep. If they go 1-2 or 0-3 vs the Mets than what the Diamondbacks do won't really matter

Whit can turn a double play, quick to get it out of the glove, and strong throw to complete the double play. For Ozzie, it feels like forever to develop a double play but I prefer his bat and he can catch those little flairs that are tough to get.

The Braves are top 15 in most RISP >2 out metrics. They aren't elite but they aren't terrible. Whit Merrifield doesn't have good arm strength. He's 38th percentile in arm strength which is well below average. Only problem is that Albies is 4th percentile in arm strength. He does have more range than Whit though, however slight.
Poor decisions? How about pre season cy young favorite Spencer Strider made 1 start; last year's MVP done by May; franchise leader in holds AJ Miner out for last 3 months of season. That would line up the rotation for the play-offs, as Sale who pitches on Wednesday would start the 1st game of the Wild Card series, Fried who pitches Thursday would start game 2, and Lopez if needed could start game 3 if he starts on Friday against Kansas City. Then Morton and Schwellenbach would finish out the seasons final 2 games and would be long relief in the first round.
