It's either the parking brake itself or the pad sensor that's worn through, it's been awhile since I drove a LFA last so I don't remember what condition a flashing light is.

Naveen Kumar Battula that’s only in a straight line and the r1 is faster than the 1299 panigale which lost to a P1 and 918 spider. Cars are faster than motorcycles on a track no matter how you look at it. Cars have better all around traction

I understand beauty is in the eye if the beholder, but this is not one of the most beautiful cars. Ferrari, McLaren, Ford GT and Pagani ... have made some of the most beautiful cars, and contemporary cars at that. There are some truly beautiful classics of old as well. Lexus did a pretty cool job, though. Love that sound!

In Parker’s defence, it WAS the musical division of Yamaha that assisted in creating the sound chambers that resonate the sound to the cabin of the car.
Yeah, they were involved in the entire drivetrain process, but to say they engineered the sound and not point out that they also built the motor, means he needed to do a little more googling.

Fun fact: some dealerships are still holding on to brand new LFA’s because some owners knew how much the car would appreciate.
I can also confirm this is true. One of them is in Lexus of Schaumburg, Illinois. It's an orange Nurburgring edition. Owner has declined every offer thrown at him even one for 1.5m.

The parking brake wasn't on to start with as others have said. A flashing parking brake light doesn't necessarily mean the parking brake is on, it means something is wrong with it regardless of it being on or off.

It's a more arbitrary car fact that Yamaha makes engines for all kinds of vehicles, including air planes and helicopters.
It was actually Yamaha's musical instrument division that helped tune the sound of the engine.
Blade 1228 the motorcycle division was responsible for the design of the LFA’s engine, as it was responsible for JZ engines

@@sirfriendzone1228 Because you can't just pick a sound you want and make the engine produce it, the sound it makes is just the result of everything else that goes into the engine and how its working. So whoever actually built the engine itself is directly responsible for the sound.

paul ezay you cant just downshift all the way to 1st gear, if the car is still moving fast the car will over rev and that hurts the engine

Nightmare2night if you downshift to first while still moving fast you can hurt the engine. Maybe the tranny takes a beating who knows I always change my blinker fluid every 5k miles

Yamaha made the entire engine.. Just like they made the JZ engines for the supra and the lovely 4.4 V8 for the old Volvo XC90 and S80, that engine made its way on to the Noble M600..
Jonathan Wolflord they didn’t make the engine. It was completely in house by Toyota. Yamaha only had the hand in tuning, the exhausts headers, intakes, and the sound tube feeds into the cabin. That’s it.
This is entirely a myth. They didn't design the jz engines either. Only the head design.
Don't forget the last gen Celica GTS motors also....

The Defenestrator V10, with the size of a V8 and I believe weight of a V6. Phenomenal work of art. Can’t go wrong with choosing the LFA

2:42 ummmm your wrong on so many levels. Toyota stopped racing in f1 in 2009. And in 2011 and 2012 the f1 cars were using v8 engines. None of what you said made sense.
It was before they started using v8.
Legolas ik but this car wasn’t made from 1997-2005 when all f1 cars had to have v10 engines. They started using v8 in 2006. And the lfa was made from 2011-2012. Meaning The f1 cars AT THE time wasn’t using v10 and hadn’t for over 5 years. And Toyota pulled out if f1 in 2009 so they weren’t even a f1 team when they made the lfa. So none of what parker said made sense. Unless for some reason they started making the engine before 06, There would be no possible way for the lfa v10 to have any association with the f1 engine.

It wasn't Yamaha that made the exhaust sound
This sound was made by a small Japanese muffler maker called 35 (san-gou).

For anyone that didn't know, Yamaha was actually established as a piano/musical instrument manufacturer in 1887. After WWII, they repurposed the remains of their machinery and built a motorcycle which became a success. Following that success, they split the motor department in 1955. Interesting fact: their logo is a triple tuning fork, reflecting their music origins.
The Lexus LFA is one of my favorite exotic cars.

Dude your half right, Toyota and Yamaha both created the V10 for the LFA and Yamaha musical div tuned the exhaust note, they did the motor with Yamaha for the 2000GT back in the day also, Yamaha built the V8 that went into the 3rd gen Ford Taurus SHO
