As an American, I never cease to be in awe of European architecture and I admire Europeans so much for keeping history alive by preserving these beautiful old buildings and bridges. This was a very interesting and scenic tour. It is especially amazing to see where Jane Austen actually lived and the museum with the costumes from her movies. Joerg looked so dapper in the Austen-era hat! Honestly, you two are such gracious tour guides you could take us with you almost anywhere and it would be enjoyable :) And I have to add that your video production is nothing short of top notch; the editing with the superimposed Roman figures was a surprise(!), the careful panning of the beautiful streets and details, the perfect music that enhances but does not distract from the scenery - it all just works so well and makes for a very polished production. As always, your video made my day. Thank you so much and happy spring!
The demolition of the old Pennsylvania Station in October 1963 is considered a city tragedy, a “monumental act of vandalism,” as The New York Times put it.
This is a dream come true for every Jane Austen fan. Such a beautiful place to explore, take some photos and enjoy a cup of tea. Thank you for a lovely tour. 😊
My late husband & I visited Bath in 1999. We loved it too. So beautiful everywhere you look. A treasure. Hadn't discovered Jane Austen then but have since become a big fan. The Roman baths were fascinating. We also visited Stonehenge the same day. So interesting. I love England.
Muchas gracias por este bello video. Soy una admiradora de Jane Austen y me encanta ver los lugares en los que estuvo. Bath es una preciosidad. Recuerdo el video de cuando estuvisteis el el festival de Jane Austen. Mucha gracias Kirsten y Joerg ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just got home from a very stressful day watching my sick 2 year old granddaughter and I came across your recent video absolutely loved it. I wish I could be where you’re at, love everything about this place. Thank you for sharing this with us what a great place! Love the music in the background! You two are perfect for one another you bring a smile to my face! Thank you again for great content!
So enjoyed this time with you in Bath. Wasn't the blue and white china just beautiful. Jane Austin is a favorite and so are the two of you. Thanks so much for another lovely time with you. Take care!
Again, the music accompanying this video was so lovely, you really have a way with putting it together. Everywhere looks so inviting, love your little pear, it will look prefect in the new kitchen. You guys have a wonderful end to the week, see ya next time.
The cool jazz segment, matched the elegance inside the shop where you found that delightful Pear.. Every time you scanned the rooftops , the rows and rows of chimney pots atop all the massive chimneys caught my imagination. i imagine each pot leads to a separate fireplace in separate rooms. The tour of Bath was very interesting and almost overwhelming,. so much to see and explore. i always look forward to what you will be having to eat on your adventures. Kirsten’s breakfast of Avacado Benendict looked so delicious, i could almost taste it. and of course the ‘Cream Tea” at a table with a view of the city, did not disappoint. The high waisted Empire or Regency style of dresses shown at the Jane Austen center, look very comfortable.to wear and very feminine. thank you Kirsten and jorg for taking us along wih you to Bath.❤
Wow ! This video really shows Jane Austen's Bath. Thank you both for all that walking. This was a pleasure to watch. The little porcelain pear is so sweet and will look lovely in your new kitchen. ❤💐
What a lovely 'encore' experience! Bath is such a magnificent historic city. Two millenia of spectacular architecture just flows seamlessly from the Roman past into the present day! Everything is so posh and elegant too. How could Jane Austen not be inspired by the beauty of her surroundings?!?! Bath should be a MUST SEE bucket list destination for every traveller who visits the UK! Thank you for the tour!
Thank you so much For the memories of Bath! My son and I took a trip to Great Britain about four years ago and spent some time in Bath and enjoyed it so much. We remember having our most amazing meal of the trip there, as well as enjoying a swim upstairs in the hot baths at dusk! Very special place❤( From California).
I love Bath. It’s such a beautiful city with so many layers of built history. I loved No.1 The Royal Crescent as a visual reminder of how the upper and lower class lived in Georgian Bath. Poor Jane Austen’s living quarters in Bath decreased in ‘poshness’ as the family’s fortunes took a turn for the worst after Mr Austen died. They ended up in a boarding house in an area they had shunned originally as not suitable situated for their class!
Hi Kirsten and Joerg my favorite cute couple!! The Georgian architecture in Bath is truly magnificent. I am seeing the beauty of the UK through your lenses. Thank you again for another lovely video.
I loved this SOOO much! I love Jane Austin and just love the time period! I taught Interior Design and would have loved to see the houses with orginial furnishings!!!😊
We did the same walking tour in 2019, loved it very much but also had rainy weather in June, loved the tearoom in the Jane Austen museum, that wasn't there then I can not recall.😉
I didn’t know about the Jane’s Austin center when I was there 5 years ago we just went to her home in chawton where she lived for awhile, what a beautiful village that was!❤️💙
It's incredible that Bath has 2,000 years of history. Kirsten is lovely and has a feminine and soothing voice - some levity, making a shopping list with a quill. And Joerg so debonair in the green hat he tried on at the Jane Austin Centre.
I just had some time to sit and have a cup of tea and enjoy your tour of Bath and Jane Austin’s homes! Wonderful.. from the cream tea and pretty China to Roman Baths and your cocktails towards the end! Fascinating topic and loved every minute of it Kirsten and Joerg!! ❤❤👏🏻👏🏻🌸🌸
Always love a trip to Bath, thanks for letting me accompany you. It really is like a step back in time, all so well, preserved. Your accommodation looked perfect, very central too.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!!! I EANT TO BE THERE!!!! Please Excuse my excitement and exuberance… but I just found this so fascinating! I watched a documentary on Bath and the history is AMAZING. I was watching P&P this week with Colin Firth…. Oh my, how handsome he is, as Mr. Darcy. 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I just wanted to smooch him!!! 😮😊! THANK YOU JANE AUSTIN…. You bring me so much joy for all your life stories!! As always… Thanks K&J for your channel.
I'm really happy to know that there are still people like you two, because there's always a video with content really trying to convey culture and tradition, here in Brazil people don't care about culture much less traditions, I feel like an outsider in the nest, just people I can't handle cell phones without any knowledge 😞
that was gorgeous - thank you so much for sharing!! I so enjoyed your tour 💜. You are my 'go to' channel for actual meaningful, sane and beautiful content. You are both such a treasure. Please keep going.....🙏
Ohhh this one will be one of my favorites along with those of you who wear period clothing, thanks Kirsten and Joerg, I have been able to enjoy even more, the movies based on books by Jane Austin☺️🎩👗🎥love,Irene

That store you went into with the old downstairs kitchen is amazing! I think it's really neat that they have a list of previous owners too, shown at 18:09. When I finally get to visit Bath I hope that store is still open. 🤞
Kirsten and Joerg, Thanks so much for the wonderful Tour of The City Of Bath. Vielen Dank liebe Iris! Oh ja, ihr müsst unbedingt nach Bath, es ist wirklich so schön. Die Architektur ist herrlich und wir können es sehr empfehlen. Ganz liebe Grüße
Oooo so nice to catch you on a premiere of this Jane-Austen-inspired fabulous location ❤ I love your channel. It relaxes and inspires me so often when I take time with a cup of coffee ☺️ Have a blessed day!
Lucy Worsley has written about Jane Austen’s homes, I found it fascinating but rather sad: all the moving around was because they were struggling financially. So glad you had some sunshine for this lovely visit to Bath, thank you as ever 😊 I love joining you both each week.
I remember going into that gorgious shop when it was an antique/ junk shop owned by an eccentric lady. It was crammed packed with stuff but the original fittings were the best thing about it. It was crying out to be renovated and what a transformation, it truly is stunning.❤
I very much enjoyed Jane Austen's "Bath". She and her family certainly moved around the town.. I wonder if this was due to financial circumstances or they were restless also I wonder if they purchased or rented these homes. Must try some gf scones and Kirsten you were wearing that gorgeous floral dress that you look so pretty in - you were dressed for spring 😊
I loved Bath! it was on my short list years ago. I loved the shops on the bridge and the baths, just extraordinary. Rooms would not have existed then but I adore the Christmas decorations! Absolutely LOVE the centre, YEs to the green top hat Joerg haha
Thank you so much for that delightful tour of Bath. I lived in Bristol for many years and would venture over to bath from time to time; its such a lovely city, full of charm. It was nice to see the roman baths again, its been many many years since I visited them, and the gorgeous bridge, I so love it. You also took us to places I had not seen before, which was a lovely treat. Lots of love from Stella xxx
How fun to spend time with two fun and interesting people! I’m so thankful you share these personal trips wit us. It’s more personal and intimate than going on a guided tour. It makes me want to go so badly to Bath. Thank you both for an enjoyable journey. Mary
Ohh what joy to see you both!!! I can sleep with a smile on my face every time I see you both again. Thanks to Joerg, I will not try old water from a spring. Lol. Have a blessed week ❤️
Your video’s are an absolute delight, just as the two of you are. We get the travel with you to places most are unable to. So thank you for taking us along. Looking forward to our next adventure. Hugs from a little town in Texas.
A perfect visit! Still catching up this morning... and I might watch both my favorites from 1995 again. I must say, I love Persuasion with Hinds and Root, have seen it many times. And pride and préjudice from the same year. Both are so perfect to me...and match the period impression the books made on me. I can’t travel now but your cultural "walkabouts" always make my day!
Beautifully filmed, the mezzanine floor in the Baths was incredible..felt like the modern world didn't exist. The music you choose added real atmosphere to the history of the place.Wonderful as always.Fresh perspectives on the whole city. You never disappoint.
I was reminiscing with you as you had tea at the Jane Austen Center and walked around Bath and visited the Roman Baths. We stayed for a week in Bath a few years ago pre pandemic. We stayed at a lovely place called the Bath Priory. It was really old (of course) and had a beautiful garden. It was on the outskirts of town and every morning we would walk through the park past a statueof Queen Victoria, then head past the Royal Crescent and into the center of town. We love to walk. We had tea with Mr. Darcy at the Jane Austen Center and enjoyed looking at all the displays. We visited the Roman Baths, the Pump room and walked with a view of the bridge. There is so much to do in Bath. We could have stayed even longer. Thank you for taking us with you! I would love to return!! ❤️
I just absolutely LOVE you both so much! I watch your videos ever single day! I am a candle maker here in the states (New England) and I love having your videos on while I make my candles. After all this time the two of truly feel like close friends of mine. You two have that very special love that all of these romance novels try so hard to capture. It would be a dream come true to meet you both one day! Thank you for everything you do. ♥ Seja "The Velvet Lotus Shop"
Happy Spring.🌷 Thank you for taking us to Bath. I visited this lovely city years ago, and now I want to go back. The antique shop looked fabulous, and your pear is beautiful.
Thank you so much for these wonderful videos. I always look forward to time with Kristen and Joerg. I will never get to see these places on my own and it's so nice to see them with you. Love from the USA.
Thank you for sharing! I was in Bath about a year ago or so and absolutely loved it. Seeing your video today brought back so many great memories. Loved it! Thanks again! xx
I n my hobby i am always fascinated how the Romans made things to last, I have a roman coin i found in a field in Shropshire that looks like it has just been made and to top it off it was a German mint mark triar mint i think it is, ( would need to look at the report from museum) so the coin i found in England in a field 2000 years old that started off in Germany. Magentius was the emporor on the coin
You two are my favorites! I’d rather watch your charming, peaceful, and inspiring videos than anything on TV… Thank you so much for your content!
Wow, thank you!🙏
I agree wholeheartedly ♥️🙏😘
Agree
Agree
I feel the same way!
With the insanity in the world today, it’s so nice to sit down and enjoy your wonderful videos. Thank you both. 💕

I agree! Everything is perfect every time!
The demolition of the old Pennsylvania Station in October 1963 is considered a city tragedy, a “monumental act of vandalism,” as The New York Times put it.
Gosh, you are so kind, thank you so much! We can really recommend Bath, the architecture there is so breathtaking. One of our favourite cities.
I was thinking the same exact thing. Europeans really value their architecture and history.
This is a dream come true for every Jane Austen fan. Such a beautiful place to explore, take some photos and enjoy a cup of tea. Thank you for a lovely tour. 😊
Thanks so much!
Wouldn’t it be amazing if Jane Austen could see how influential she’s been not just on the people of England but on the entire world?
I know, right!
I’m sure she can see us celebrating her!
Lovely😍♥️♥️
Your videos are among the few that I can click the “like” button before I watch them. I’m NEVER disappointed!
Gosh you are so kind, we are speechless! Thank you so so much!
I love it, Jane Austin is one of my favorite novelists of that era. What a lovely English town she lived. Thanks for sharing this.

Bath is amazing!! Loved learning about all of the history! Thank you Kirsten and Joerg
Another lovely day out and always visiting places that most would not know. Thanks again😁😁😁
Good evening from Berlin! 🌟 Today we had the first felt-spring-day in Germany too as you two on your wonderful Jane-Austen-trip in Bath 😀
Yes! The last building and street where she lived was really posh, a stunning house. I know everything was bad when Mr Austen died.
Jane Austen, my favourite writer.❤👑👑👑what a wonderful idea!
Wonderful place with wonderful people Kirsten and Joerg! And Jane Austen forever! What a treat! Thank you, guys! ❤❤❤
My sister and I had High Tea at the Bath House Restaurant in Bath in 2019. It was amazing. Sure wish we had clotted cream in America!
Hi Kirsten and Joerg my favorite cute couple!! The Georgian architecture in Bath is truly magnificent. I am seeing the beauty of the UK through your lenses. Thank you again for another lovely video.
My city !
Yes, Bath is a beautiful place to visit and soak up the Georgian history and architecture. I have been myself and loved it.
I loved this SOOO much! I love Jane Austin and just love the time period! I taught Interior Design and would have loved to see the houses with orginial furnishings!!!😊
Thanks so much! Oh yes, I would have loved to see the interiors of these houses too!
Very nice I love Bath went once in 1989 and loved it so much. Thanks for the tour
That was a blast to watch. I settled right in with a little dish of M&M’s and pretended I was there. You two are GREAT.
Thanks so much!
We did the same walking tour in 2019, loved it very much but also had rainy weather in June, loved the tearoom in the Jane Austen museum, that wasn't there then I can not recall.😉
Oh sie schön, dass es euch gefallen hat! Doch den Regency Tea Room gab es auch schon in 2019! Viele liebe Grüße
I didn’t know about the Jane’s Austin center when I was there 5 years ago we just went to her home in chawton where she lived for awhile, what a beautiful village that was!❤️💙
Oh yes Chawton is so so gorgeous, isn’t it?
It's incredible that Bath has 2,000 years of history. Kirsten is lovely and has a feminine and soothing voice - some levity, making a shopping list with a quill. And Joerg so debonair in the green hat he tried on at the Jane Austin Centre.
I just had some time to sit and have a cup of tea and enjoy your tour of Bath and Jane Austin’s homes! Wonderful.. from the cream tea and pretty China to Roman Baths and your cocktails towards the end! Fascinating topic and loved every minute of it Kirsten and Joerg!! ❤❤👏🏻👏🏻🌸🌸
Yay, thank you Marcia - so beyond happy you liked it!❤️
This video makes you want to hop on a plane to Bath! You are so inspiring!
You are so kind, thanks so much!

How fun to spend time with two fun and interesting people! I’m so thankful you share these personal trips wit us. It’s more personal and intimate than going on a guided tour. It makes me want to go so badly to Bath. Thank you both for an enjoyable journey. Mary
I LOVED Persuasion! It has become my favorite with Sally Hawkins. ❤ loved this video! ❤️
I love Bath!! Would love to go back some day and explore more of what you shared! Great tour!
Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
Bath is one of my favourite cities.

That was so much fun! What an absolutely stunning city. Thank you so much for taking us along. I would love to visit one day.
Sweet Kirsten is left handed. I'm not surprised...Highly intelligent and a curious creature.. 😊😊
So kind!
Ohh what joy to see you both!!! I can sleep with a smile on my face every time I see you both again. Thanks to Joerg, I will not try old water from a spring. Lol. Have a blessed week ❤️
Thanks so much! Have a lovely week too!
Thanks for your trip to bath ,the jane austen centre ,where she lived .fantastic
Beautifully filmed, the mezzanine floor in the Baths was incredible..felt like the modern world didn't exist. The music you choose added real atmosphere to the history of the place.Wonderful as always.Fresh perspectives on the whole city. You never disappoint.
Thanks so much!
You are so kind, thank YOU! How fascinating, we love that you're a candle maker.
I can't get too much of the architecture and history of Bath so thank you for this video.🌷

Thank you so much for the heavenly tour of Bath! It’s so beautiful! ❣️❣️
