The Milka Stylo was originally collected from the Red Sea. It was first kept in an aquarium in Europe. It actually got the name because the color of the coral matched the color of a popular candy wrapper. The candy was called Milka. This is per Jake Adam's in one or the reef therapy sessions.
The candy itself isn’t called Milka. Milka is the factory name, they produce all kinds of chocolate bars and chocolate sweets :) They are famous for their Logo, a purple cow
I really enjoyed this video. It is awesome to see how connected we are as hobbyists. You can go to a country on the other side of the world and walk in that store and feel completely at home.
Milka is a very famous brand of Swiss chocolates in Europe and the wrapping paper is Purple, exactly like this Stylo. That is where the name came from. They are most famous for their Milk Chocolate.
His passion is unreal. Such a clean nice store. Goes to show you bigger is not always better. That Scoly??? Holy shit that thing is unreal. Great video what a nice guy. How did you meet him? Something online?
Milka is a European chocolate in a purple and white / cream wrapper According to Jake Adams it's from the Red Sea and was one of the first corals in the hobby in Germany Great store
There is about to be a convo about the Gonis and then you cut to "Tia this is for you"? If you want to show Tia something, you could do it privately... I was on the fence about subscribing...
Yes, gonis do eat, they're just tricky. It seems the real trick to them is to keep your manganese and vanadium at a healthy level, though. Wish I could get that one! It's gorgeous!!
Jesus christ corals are so cheap outside of NZ. Here we see $300 minimum for hammers, outside of private sellers there less than a dozen stores in the whole country selling frags, let alone colonies.

Beautifully done shop. Just an FYI: Goniopora does in fact eat. It just doesn’t eat powdered foods.
Not really sure how a dude running a store comes to that conclusion! Of course it eats!
Anyone know who to get in touch with about identifying coral species ....
