Ah, good ol' Atomic Bomberman, I'm still playing it and having some good laughs with it. The voices, the level editor, the challenging CPU players, the unfinished campaign mode, the fact you can mess with the configurations so you can play it with your own rules, you can even make new death animations and modify the items icons... truly the best Bomberman game ever. This is a good game to train your Bomberman skills as well.
@@Inn512 It's really complex, few people have done it and I'm not really sure how it works totally, I've seen some video of some guy that made custom stages which is recent, the new animations were made like a decade ago I think and I doubt the creator is still around. The configurations was in the game's installation folder so I remember, I'll check which file was it later, you can open it with Notepad or preferably Notepad++
The bots are programmed badly. Playing against ideally 7 skilled humans that game develops surprising depth. Talking from years of intense experience. Also, teamplay, e. g. 4 against 4, is supported. That, combined with custom maps, anything is possible (and good fun)!
This officially-licensed, PC-only Bomberman game is certainly unique - not least of all for having Stimpy, Fry, Buster Bunny, and Starscream shouting constantly at you during matches. This was amazing back in 1997 playing multiplayer over dial-up.

I'll say. I still have my original CD and I can tell you there is ZERO speed limiting in it. Oh it'll run just fine in windows7x64, but speedwise a game from 97 on modern hardware? thousands of FPS. Rounds are over in moments.

Why can’t this be the redesigns that bomberman goes for NOT ACT ZERO. But Super Bomberman R has the best redesigns in history. But as for Act-zero as I mentioned THE WORST REDESIGN IN HISTORY

Bye the Hudson Soft Version is the best closely followed by Dynablaster Revenge. But I miss the taunts. Splody, yeah quite good, technically, but the game becomes boring, because it lacks the taunts and the cool music, and most of the collectables, to bring more tension in the game.
OBS studio records this game fine. I've recorded both the abandonware version of the game, along with the cd-rom of the game that I have, OBS picks it up without a hitch.

I found my childhood game i searched for this for so long
Picked up the game at Toys R Us on sale as a kid. Did not regret it.
At first it wasn't what I expected based on other bomberman games, but the humor grew on me, and even tho it was glitchy at times, the gameplay was good. I would battle the cpus and they were really hard to beat.
It is stays true with the bomberman spirit especially how fans often prefer PvP instead of PvE.
