I am a mid-career professional who is interested in getting into UX Design with no clue of where to start as a beginner. I started with reading some articles, blogs, books and videos here and there, but none of them actually told me what a UX need to do step by step until I saw this video. I now have a clear understanding of what possible tasks a UX designer might take on one project and possible tools and approaches that can be used. Thanks Antony!
I just started transitioning from Graphic Design to UX/UI. This is an amazing because its the best of both worlds along with design and the psychology is like magic! Creating something out of the mind is DOPE!!!!!!!
As an OD (old designer), I find these type of videos highly educational. Thank you!
I watched the whole video. Awesome insight of UX/UI design. I’ll look for your course now.
Excellent video Antony. Everything was easily understandable and just straight to the point for those who don't know anything about UX Design, and the simply cool design made the experience so enjoyable. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Antony Conboy...
This is not a tutorial, it a theoretical presentation of UX design.

Wasn't expecting to learn the difference of ux/ui after failing to for months to find out, but I'm glad I found it through this video. Unexpected and well worth the watch, even just for this information.
This is not a tutorial, it a theoretical presentation of UX design.
Perfect..
and that shows you just how useful UX is.
+Carmen I agree with you! This is not a tutorial. It's only a theoretical. But I learned a lot anyways.
well i guess this is for the better
Hahaha
I've searched for the difference between UI and UX, I found a lot of them but I couldn't get the difference. And here just what I needed. Thanks a lot.
Maybe you would like to know what I have learned. UX looks at making function, navigation, content access possible whiles UI looks at the visual design, colors, fonts and appearance.
Great video. Really helps making my decision on career switching easy.

Hi Antony,
Thank you for putting this together. I was looking for a way to ask you few questions about the premium course but I didn't see any option to do so. My questions are:
1. The certificate that will be provided, is that from an organization?
2. The tools that will be used during the course, do we need to download any, or the online version will work just fine?
3. Do you also review portfolio's or just a guide to get us started?
4. During the course of I have any questions do I reach out to you directly or there will be a forum for designers?
Thanks in advance!
first 2 seconds: your voice makes me get goosebumps, good voice
Same thing here , the voice says it all
Yap. The voice is really perfect.
Righttttttt
I’m not saying I’m hard... but I’m not saying I’m not
Yep.
great
What font is this? I love it and of course the rest of the video!
Thanks!
No problem!
Im a ms software engineer graduated and Its my firm desire to become ux ui designer , its my dream and wish to learn more.
Ring noise is too loud. But thanks for the video. Great introduction

The biggest hurdle, is convincing (or finding) a client who is willing to spend the money on this process. So, from my experience, it is critical to have the client invited to attend and participate in the workshops. After all the client will be picking up the tap and they need to know where their dosh has been spent.
Hi Jamie, Agree with you on that!
Thanks!
Great video.
Hi i want to ask if vectr can be used for UI/UX
Love from India.
Does it comes with a certificate?
I’m doing my final year in architecture but I think I’d love to be a UI designer instead
i sometimes want to be an architect. im doing BE cse
I graduated as an architect , but now learning ui ux with hope of becoming a ui ux designer :>
You really sound like you care, it's comforting. I am 55 years old; am I fooling myself in thinking about starting in this career?
Andrew Laboy no! I’m trying to get into it to but you’re never too old!!
No sir. You are "goals"! 🎈
Great video, may I know the font/s you have used throughout the video. Thanks
Yes its Montserrat, the R and O is highly recognizable.
It's gotham
Dipanjan Adhikari it also almost looks like ‘Champagne and Limousines’.
It's like a chess game anticipating the opposite moves
never looked at it like that, good observation
Miron Swyst Precisely.
Such a great observation!
why cant we use Creative cloud PS 2017 for UI design? does that makes any difference on the layout.
You need a vector graphic for a lot of the things there.
May I know please where can I get the link of how to make your portfolio stand out?

Congratulations Antony. Very nice video. Can you tell me which typography did you use in the texts of your video? I like it a lot and I would like to use one like it for this little booklet i´m doing. Thank you. Regards, Savador O.
Montseratt
I’m only 5:50 in an it’s already fantastic. Thank you! I just listened to a 3 hour lecture that was soooo boring but this wasn’t at all!
Thanks for the vid I’m a high school thinking of pursuing a career in ux/ui design : can anyone give me suggestions of what I could major in uni to achieve this ??
Hi Arasely, Id recommend looking at a HCI course. The university of london has a course but probably many unis do!
Thx for this well designed video, just one question, Do you think UX or UI desginers are interchangeable? Do you think they can be merged into one role? Or do you think a company will need both two of them?
Hi, I think they are interchangeable to a degree, but id always recommend a company has both! two heads are better than 1!
Do we need to learn coding/Web development??
Sir, I have a problem in drag and drop image in xd
Hi Bat Rocky,
I will answer this question in my next podcast
Many thanks
Antony
7:29 I never saw job ad for ui designer.....they always seek ui/ux designer
Okay so I am studying as the graphic designer and I am wondering can I become UX Designer and how?
Same boat here. As far as I've gathered, if you're still looking for an answer:
Learn HTML,CSS,and Javascript. Take some consumer psychology courses. Graphic Design is more UI, so that's a good start. UX you can either teach yourself or take additional classes for.
You could also join a bootcamp, either alongside college, or instead of.
Personally, I'm focusing on UI,taking some courses on beginning computer science(HTML,CSS,JS), and teaching myself UX.
If you're mostly interested in UX, I've heard going to a college that offers an HCI degree is a great choice, or even psychology. Though, if you're self taught and have a graphic design, web design, or another design related degree, that is good also.
At Carneige Mellon University, you can join their HCI program and specialize in either psychology(UX), computer science(I'd say this applies to both), or design(UI).
Most importantly: look up employers that you'd love to work for and what requirements they've listed for the job you want. Study those things. Focus on at least 1-2 things in depth, and learn a little of anything else.

Thanks for burning my eyes with your perfect white background. Try to see your video while in bed on 23.00 and then we talk about UX
It needs dark mode!

antonyconboy.com/product/portfolio-pdf/
@@AntonyConboyUX Can you help me with a functional link, please?
today.yougov.com/profileslite this link doesn't work? and also I can't find the toolbox?
Hi , Can I show this tutorialto my students on Zoom?
Sure feel free
There's a typo: "making sure your idea makes [sence]" -> "sense"
Thanks Zajzel
Which tools will you be using in your Bootcamp course?
Adobe XD mainly - it’s free and really good
#Mediaartssbcc This is interesting
you sound like a meditation instructor.
anyone hear him sound like the voice-over from Pursuit of wonder?
nice #MediaArtsSbcc
The font that you used is Montserrat isn't it ?
yes
Not to be a nitpicker but your keypoint for the design phase misspelled the word sense. So far so good though (4:00 minute mark)
Thank you
