I like the Latvian and Lithuanian meals. They are solid nutrition and don't bog you down. FSR MRE's seem more like something you eat on a sleep over when you are 8.
Stumbled across this and it's so fascinating to watch people open these up to see.

I am glad to hear your voice again sir!! Like yourself, I am rarely on these days. Nice ration friend. My wife still reminds me about using the fuel tabs indoors. She was not impressed, for almost 2 weeks, LOL. I have never seen the CRABS candy before? I like the folding spork. Who produces it? The Rye bread, I am quite fond of now. Did not like at first, I gradually adjusted my tastes however. Main and other components look excellent. Peace from Ky. , John. I hope you and yours are well sir.
I’ve had a few Latvian MREs and I think the rye bread goes pretty much all the mains . The newer rations don’t come with any jams, however no love lost here. I’d rather have the rations and raisins or almonds . Great vid

I’d a box of these rations which were quickly devoured, quality ingredients and as you said, lotsa similarities with the Lithuanian packs
For a horrifying split second: i thought this ration had *KANIKKO* aka *CANDIED CRAB* 🦀 a real food!

Love the Turbo chewing gum. Such a blast from the past. Could be a great moral booster during heavy training exercises, or patroling. Litle things, like this matter. And of course the raye bread is a treat of its own. Remember back in my service years we hated those crackers with passion. All and all, the rations have improved dramatically.
P.S. the reason of four Coffee sachets is, that Latvians are using US army stile cutlary. The cup is about 0,5l. If you make a full cup of Coffee with one sachet, the brew distantly reminds the dirty water after you wash your socks. Latvian soldiers love strong Coffee.

I tried this ration pack before, I found putting one of the jams into the dessert improves the taste a lot.

Clarification:
We're using USA-esque heating chemicals where we put our main meal (i.e. the meat and rice for this pack in the video), but the rest is basically the same as you see here.
I for one prefer eating the yank ones- at least, from the rare moments I've had my hands on them. But these are okay after a long day, too.
Anyway, cool video.
We just got new pack and thos have the same amount of coffee and 2times more of the main dish but the rest more the same I had to eat a rice whit minced pork they wher really good

yes available on Amazon Solid fuel tablets and metal folding stove
This is old one, they do new ones in green packaging and they are better.
They don’t use metal cans anymore and have heating element.
there is new version of Latvian army MRE, this one old one.
We have new rations now, these are not given out anymore.

I like these videos of war rations but more in modern rations
Already seen foods from The American Civil War very interesting to 👀 what the Union Army ate versus the Confederate Army. Big contrast The Union ate much better.

Lol I mean no disrespect love your videos, let’s face it after Steve stopped doing vids your the closest thing to great entertainment. I do wish you’d go into eating all the mains and not go directly for the sweats all the time. Every other channel waste food and only eat the sweats on MREs . Especially those cowboys whom you can tell they’re very closed minded about trying different foods. They compare a Russian delicacy to spam. Your different very on point just would like to hear and see more finished mains .

Are these even legit rations? It looks like your buying from people making them not legit ones like an MRE or field ration
