Saffira was always one of my favorite monsters, just because of the general aesthetic and theme with its effects. I was so happy to see it expanded upon here

She makes an awesome Honest loop; I tried writing a fic with her as my character's ace and their deck got too broken too quickly because Saffira just kept on recycling stuff.

I been wanting Skull Guardian support for years so this is one of my favorite archetypes.
Actually there is one weird ruling regarding the ignoring summoning conditions thing with rituals, basically unless the effect in question specifically summons ritual monsters it can't summon non-rituals unless it ignores summoning conditions (example is the mikanko quick-play) because otherwise you'd be able to do things like one for one to summon relinquished, BUT if the effect specifically says "summon a ritual" (like nouvelle or the new sauravis) then you DON'T have to say ignoring summoning conditions. It's really weird and unituitive and I'm pretty sure they came up with it on the spot as an excuse for why you can't one for one for a relinquished but that's how it be.
honestly just the fact this archtype allows a card like sauravis to be used as a generric card is huge because the ritual sauravis is a legitimately good card that is rarely ever " ded" in the hand(and in some ritual decks you get ot lopp it so you basically have a " no" to most handtraps)

I hope some more classic cards get a retrain like Princess of Tsurugi and I think Invader of the throne.
Vest part of this archetipe is all the comics about the hood gir having 50 ATK points.
Novox immediately coming back upon summoning skull guardian just reminds me of nopenguin summoning itself back when you synchro penguin brave
I don't know what you could do with it, if anything, but I think both new and old Sauravis monsters work with the various Starry Knight cards that care about level 7 light dragons returning to the hand. That seems fun.

Dude!!!! Once these cards are either released or make it to master duel, I’m building something like that! I love Starry Knights and they deserve all the love.
I continue to believe that saffira is a reference to saphira from eragon.
My favorite old Ritual is Dokuroraider since its pretty much the worst vanilla ritual because of lowest ATK for a ritual monster and no payoff. But i still love the look, and i belive there could be some neat ideas with new support.
I was just using that as my ace monster in the latest ritual event on MD, my "Mumen Rider" Control 😂
Since it’s a rider, perhaps the designer can have the retrain have a connection with goblin riders.
Skeleton on a motorcycle is objectively the coolest design.
Why not remake it into the Stygian Archetype? Always thought that Archetype should be expanded.

I've been running Silenforc for a few months now and its been one of my favorite ones to work with. I love how malleable it is, I have builds that pair it with Galaxy-Eyes, Centurion, & Mikanko, all pretty consistent. I love experimenting with this archetype and seeing how dumb I can get with it.
Ive been playing Silenforce/Centurions with my friends, and so far it seems to be the strongest and most consistent deck ive fielded against them. Since I only NEED Skull Guardian and Novox with the Barrier to establish my board, we got a bit of a laugh when i easily played inder the effect of El Shaddoll Winda.

This is so cool! I've been loving these update old school Yu-Gi-Oh cards being retrained for the modern day. Though this one adds a few modern cards to expand the archetype, which is cool. Though I did wish they added more old School cards to the new archetype to give more old cards love.
I love that with Principug, he dissed Gate Guardian, and didn’t even mention Guardian Tryce and such.
Principug doesn't work with Raphael's Guardians other than dreadscythe, since the rest can be normal summoned/set

I just recently found out that the Starry Knight cards seem to mesh really well with this archetype.

Yeah Starry Night, Starry Dragon works really well with this deck.
Not only that. The Starry Knights themselves work well with the Silenforcer dragons.
I’ve made my own deck on Dueling Nexus and so far they seem to mesh well.
So far at least.
This might be my favorite new archetype. I love LIGHT decks, I love Ritual decks, I have a lot of nostalgia for Skull Warrior, and Sauravis and Saffira are two of my favorite cards.

I love Saffira. She’s one of my favorite dragon monsters period. I just wanted an excuse to run her unironically, so this vid is my go to. I’m building this as a solid ritual deck as soon as I can.

The localized name was just revealed as Voiceless Voices, and Novox’s name was changed to Lo which apparently how it’s name is supposed to be
Ritual cards that are fuckin insane but are balanced by being ritual support are my favorite genre of Yu-Gi-Oh card

P.S. Saffira and Sauravis are Fire Emblem manaketes. It's so obvious; the art of Silenforcing Prayer is basically even the Miracle of Darna from FE 4!

In other news Albaz story line now talks about dragon alchemy. So I guess it's technically draco slayer adjacent now. (See Branded Fusions Artwork Description in Master Duel)
For me the best versions were pure and impcantation Nekroz. Both with nadir servent, Maximux,diviner and trias. You can also get the trap on your opponents turn using sauravis or Dyna-mondo. Another 2 cards and this deck could be an extremely viable option.

this deck honesly looks fun i just hope it prooves actually viable instead of being curb stomped by purrly,traptrix,Khash and fucking branded...cause it seems all these cool new archtypes that come out are almost deliberately made less powerfull than the aformentioned decks.
I kinda wish the text of those cards that cheat out the Ritual monster treat it as a successful “Ritual Summon,” this way I can use Fulfillment of the Contract to special summon the ritual monster from the GY. Unless I been wrong this whole time and didn’t realize you can pitch any ritual monster that isn’t an Omni summon and special summon them without tribute by using Fulfillment.

It’s a shame that Pendulum strategies catch flak for playing similar cores, but the Ritual tax usually consists of the same 9-12 cards minimum

11:02 why does it feel like Konami has this "condescending view" on Rituals, by giving them this effect? As id Konami flat out gave up on ritual monsters being properly ritual summoned

Light attribute and ritual monsters are my favorite types but I always felt like both got shafted by Konami. You rarely see either used in a real game and when you do, they end up being splashed in with other themes leading me to believe that both Konami and players in general have no faith in them as a standalone theme. It’s this that led me to (this was while the game was still in its infancy) create my own light attribute ritual monster.
I’m hoping that this archetype shows that Konami is finally looking to make light and ritual monsters more competitively viable. Even with decks like Lightsworn and Dogmatica, I never felt like light monsters were seen as competitive but now maybe they have a chance.
