I was a professionally trained musician (saxophonist) for many years. I’ve lost touch with my playing but still love music and have enjoyed so much of it in my lifetime. Honest to God, I can’t remember experiencing so much peace from music as what I felt when I just watched/listened to this upload; it was the definition of sublime. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for posting this and bravo to Seamus and this band for their performance.
One of the most talented saxophonists of today and you want to be in that concert, to be able to listen to Seamus is a privilege - of that there is no doubt - wonderful video, greetings from Chile.
THANK YOU!❤ I can't stop listening to this Masterpiece... What a beauty of song, and specially the performance. Everything is perfect! And what a phrase on the end of Seamuses solo!!!! Altissimo for shure, but what an emotion!! It is worth living to be witness that human soul can bring out such a beauty and initiate to other people, and connect all of us with our generous Source Guys...this is beyond the words, thanks, thanks🙏❤
The duet part particularly is so lyrical, soulful, and beautiful!! Simply sublime. When the rhythm section joins, they seem to get out of sync with Jurandir at times while he's the real pacemaker on this tune. When Jurandir starts soloing, however, it gets a lot better. What a great solo!! Overall, this is an awesome performance of my favorite Jobim piece. Thanks for sharing this.
Love Seamus and this song! He is amazing. I liked it better though when it was just him and the guitarist, started feeling rushed and not about the song. I think all of the musicians are excellent, I would encourage them to relax when they back him.

Nice. This is great. I like the chad LB TH-cam video better.
Both great.
Thanks !
Prefiro ouvir Stan Getz tocando bossa nova😃
All the tenor players from Canada's west coast sound the same, lol.
Difference is, he IS the west coast sound. I'd compare it to everyone sounding like Coltrane vs. Coltrane himself
That's wishful thinking
sounds nothing like ben wendel
Yes !
Seamus is the tenor sound that everyone is trying to get on these days
A banda OK but Notice how does not swing the melody because he isn't feeling in 16ths but triplets instead!
nao sabe tocar o tema? errou a melodia a entrada que vergonha..
vergonha??? kkkkkk vergonha VC!
❤❤❤
