Imagine playing with friends casually as always, not even being very good at the game and pulling this off with a 5+ chain out of nowhere. That must be epic.
So basically these are stylish Link combos and out of sheild options that are really hard to pull off, but I mean if you get super good at them maybe they're worth using.
T just started to use them on tournament matches, it is a reliable kill option since he starts to do it like around 70% and it finish above 100% with upb (he only does like 3 loops)
Easier than you’d expect. Homerun contestants have been doing these kinds of maneuvers for years. The Danish loop into down-air is also an insane way to punish unsafe cross-ups on shield near the edge. Thanks for the video!
This is a clear image and the inputs shown while the combo is happening is very nice, I know I’ll practice this stuff along with IC’s stuff to style on my friends!!
Great video guide! I now know how to make the first one thanks to you :) I started to learn Link for fun because I really like these tricks. But as you said, I'm going to watch all of your other videos about Link's basics before continuing learning the 2 others combos. Thank you very much!
Yo in the first session I tried this bomb loop I got it across the map once, I'm new to this channel, and thanks for this awesome piece of tech so thanks for sharing all of this.
I did discover this on accident during a day in training mode. Though I didn’t fastfall or shorthop it. But I’m glad to see the technique has been refined
Well I did make a video on it. But since I don’t have a computer I shot it from my phone which was hard enough and the quality isn’t great. Thanks for the mention though, I’m also pretty sure danish butter cookie discovered it first
@@pan5906 if you hit anyone with a fully charged fsmash outside of a read harder than diamond, you shouldn't need to use these on them in the first place for any other reason than styling on them
@@Neon-yj9xw If the opponent has a broken shield, and has low damage, doing one of these loops actually makes more sense than a fully charged smash attack because you can build it up into a kill move instead.
I've been a Link main for quite a while now, since Smash 64. I am IN LOVE with Link in Ultimate, I just love his moveset and his arsenal. I really want to get better and better, and I will do my best to master all of his techs! I's really love to go to tournaments, but there aren't any where I live 😭 so I guess that'll have to wait.
I done a video on cross ups plus I have a 7 hit cross up remote bomb kill combo I came up with that's on my channel. Good stuff bro I'm a fellow link main myself!
Footstool stuff is kinda dead now that a stool can be teched:( And Link has never really been a big footstool character. The only application of footstools for Link is to gimp people, it's sick
@@LxZLink fair enough. What about grounded footstools and bombs. Like a footstool out of shield into something? I feel like there could be a few strong punishes.
@LxZ Link I need help with the short hop z-drop, whenever I do it the same time it buffers a throw instead and it is kinda irritating, so do you have any tips to sh z-drop without buffering the item throw
I want to try this but I press two jump buttons for shot hop (x and zr) which would make the timing even harder. Can consistently short hop with just zr but if I have to izac immediately after I tend to get full hops.
It won't work for me (I don't use pro controller or GameCube) do u press jump and r at same time or separate or press all three at some time I need tips
This seems like it could be worth going for in late stage meta or as like a potential comeback option. If you are really far behind maybe go for it to try and put yourself back into even footing with your opponent or something. That being said I don't really play Link so probably take this idea with a grain of salt
I keep trying to practice these and I come across a similar issue each time, and am having trouble identifying the reason. In some occurrences, Link will toss the bomb forward instead of a Z drop (or down throw in case of the Danish loops). I think it’s because my control stick is still in a direction when I hit Z but am not entirely sure. Can you or someone clarify if that is the case and any tips to avoid it?
Yes, that’s it. You can only Zdrop if your stick is set to neutral. Alternatively, if you press Z (or any grab button) BEFORE jumping, link will throw the bomb instead of doing a jump zdrop.
thanks for the amazing video! having some trouble getting enough back drift to hit the opponent with the downward bomb throw in danish loops. any tips?
Seeing this is 2 years old, I'm not expecting a reply but here's to hoping, as I cannot find any other videos out there... when doing the Danish loop, are you doing short hop or full hop? The only way I can find to do it with a short hop is to izac the bomb while holding down then backair but If I try to drift it will throw the bomb the direction I'm trying to drift. I'm pulling my hair out here. Please help
picked up link 3 days ago, already nearly perfected bomb recoveries. this is next :) also, do you recommend jump-teching or normal teching after a bomb recovery? i tend to just op for jump tech cause it works fairly well in most situations, but it seems that it leaves you open for spikes more often when you hit closer to ledge. any ideas?
Although it takes a lot of time to learn these loops would you agree that it helps with a lot of other tech that Link does? Or would you say that the practice does not carry over to other part of link's play?
How do you C stick so fast for the inputs? Do you use a different part of your thumb? Do you think you could show how your fingers look in another video? I'm just so confused how your movement is with your hands and controller set up with whats on the screen.
If you feel like you’re too slow you could always have and index finger on jump, right thumb on cstick, left thumb on control sticks. But for fair loops i actually just swap my thumb from jump to cstick
Well damn, I got used to bonding r as jump so now it's awkward to use r and z at the same time Unless i rebind or use other buttons as jump/grab I bound grab or z to L2
If I'm determined to pull these off, are there any setups I can use or way I can practice the danish loops in particular? I really wanna learn this, bcs honestly, dragging my opponents across the stage and almost killing them off an item drop at 40% is kinda sick ngl
Hey, how do you perform the danish loops while short hopping? I'm only able to get them while full hopping. The back air animation doesn't come out in time for the short hop...
Can we buffer the z drop on the Fair loop or do we have to press x THEN a to do the aerial? Also, can we rely on the combo counter to see if our loops are true or not? Thx.
