It's funny cause G.I.Joe collectors are hating on this figure for the reuse, but as you said that's what we did back then to create our own characters. I dig how this new character looks. I'm excited to see what his "normal" colors would look like because this is his night force version.
I think normal colors with an unmasked head would be amazing
If they really wanted people to mix and match they'd not be using different neck and torso joints.
I think people got into the habit with classified as they were offended by some boots (or so it seems).
I'm happy with the odd head swap or juggling weapons though.

It is very easy to undo the jute ties and they won't get in your cat's paws so I think I prefer those for what was supposed to be plastic free packaging it's better optics too.

In regards to your conspiracy theory, I think this character was always meant to come out, but might have gotten someone else's accessories. They took the accessories from the least purchased figure. Just like they did with Kamakura. They gave him ALL the weapons from the Movie figures (practically.) As well as Snake Eyes stuff. I think they wanted to get the most out of the mold. I think we WILL get Nightforce Falcon...and I THINK they'll re-sculpt the head.
That's what I'm thinking/hoping for
I hope they re-sculpt that head and give us 2 so we can fix V1
i know my husband wants Wolf Spider i ordered it from overseas and i can’t wait to give it to him.

I don't know about the theory with the head. Seems like there wasn't enough turn around time to get the Kamakura head molded and painted, added to the figure, and then to redesign the entire package for this Wolf Spider figure. Nor do I think Hasbro cares enough about fan's reactions to the Falcon head to change any figure mid production. From what I've seen, it takes around two years to produce a figure from concept to completion. I just don't think there was enough time to make last minute changes.
I'm guessing there's something special about this figure or character. For a line that's pretty much ARAH in 6" scale, this figure is really out of left field. I'll be interested to hear the story about it.
Either way, I like the figure and I'm happy to see some original designs, especially when they're this good. Thanks for the review!
I’m with you and I definitely want to learn more about Wolf Spider. I was in a lucky position to get one early but it does feel like I watched the end of the movie before I got to even see a trailer.

What's the individual cases you keep the figures in around 2:23? Been looking for something like that.
The figure is.. interesting. I already have Shooter on order, trying to secure Big Ben, I'll probably throw one of my Walmart coupons that I got for them canceling other pre-orders at this. I don't know how I feel about the yellow paint on a dude who's supposed to be stealth. Sorta like painting highly reflective material on your chest.
Oh he's a fun character. I don't worry about real world scenarios with the characters too much, but I can see why it bothers some. Yellow is definitely bad for Night Ops but his is more likely to tie in with the Dragonfly color scheme.

I think I am going to pick him up. I may paint the yellow pouches, though I am getting the Dragonfly, I don’t care about him matching it. We’ll see once I get him in-hand…whenever that is.
It’ll probably be sooner than later but yes he’ll be a great pair with the Dragonfly

I don’t like the yellow, maybe I’ll finally break out the paints. Everything else looks great, though I would have like a head sculpt. Reuse is great when done well.
I agree. I always think that certain characters like Snake Eyes and helmeted bad guys do not need to be unmasked but some of the good guys would benefit having an unmasked head sculpt like Kamakura
Kamakura is a great example, I think I bought 4 just for that unmasked head, so I could make unhelmeted Crimson Guards.

you know Hasbro's habits, they redo the same character multiple times even in the same version. its the reason i couldn't make profit on my old POTF star wars figures.
Right now I'm angry waiting for a hooded CC and for Hasbro to cut ties with the movie director. never any controversy when they did him in 25th anniversary.

It’s actually not that bad but some of us also use France or Spain. $36.75 shipped is above US retail but includes shipping. I’m happy I’ve made friends with some international retailers and collectors to trade with. It lets me share it here.
I don’t know about this figure. He kinda looks like he belongs with Cobra and yet he is a joe. I may pass on this guy just for that.
