Hey Stacey! Thanks for showing us how you plant, feed, protect and prune your tomato plants! Your plants have filled in nicely. Great tips about cleaning your pruners from plant to plant. I also like to clean up my plants at the bottom allowing for needed air flow. Excellent video as always!
Hi Stacy! Your tomato plants look amazing!😊 I have been pruning my tomato plants like you showed. I don't have cages, but I do have mesh protection covers, and some are inside of my crop cage. I do see a change in how my tomatoes and peppers are growing and flowering since I put in the drip irrigation. I'm struggling with my artichokes plants. They were in smaller pots, then I put them in larger containers to now in my raised beds. I been playing with them for the last 7 to 8 months. I don't know what they want😂 As always, thanks for sharing 😊
I’m glad to hear that drip irrigation is working well for you! This is my first time growing artichokes, so far they are doing ok I had a lot of bug pressure at first but they are pulling through. I think growing in ground is a cheat code because you don’t have to figure out exactly what they want like you do in pots, lol Good luck and Happy Growing 🌱💚
Sorry to hear about your seedlings, but propagating sounds like a great idea! Using what is already growing is the easy and cheap way to get more plants! Thanks for watching 💚🌱
I started my tomato & pepper plants a good 3 weeks later than usual trying to avoid the long floppy tomato main stems, but they grew like crazy & ended up just as big & gangly when it was time to plant them out LOL. I think it's because I have improved my watering regimen while they're indoors, I've always let them get too dried out before, but not this time. As soon as I got them hardened off & transplanted, they started taking off & getting deeper green, now there are some peppers and tomatoes already forming & more blossoms are popping up daily. Here in Michigan zone 6A I have been fortunate to get away with planting out before our last frost date without getting hit with a killer frost. Most folks don't dare plant summer crops until right now to avoid late frosts.
It’s a struggle trying to hold back when you want to make sure everything is ready for Spring planting, lol! Good thing you took that risk and planted early, it’s paying off now!! I just may take that chance next year with some of my plants. Thanks for sharing, Happy Growing!🌱💚
