Memz is a pretty fantastic computer virus/trojan that takes computer trickery to new levels. It's flashy, damaging, and hilarious all at once.

Thanks for reviewing my trojan! I like that you showed everything this trojan has to offer.
I noticed the glitch at the end, which makes no sense to me. Never happened to me during tests on several PCs, laptops and emulators. It could be some sort of memory access caused by the BIOS during the interrupt calls.

I'm working on a non-destructive version. It can't be considered a troll, as you have to enable all payloads manually, but it gives lots of people the possibility of testing the graphical payloads without entering a risk.

Imagine if this was an actual thing back in the early 2000s. One second, you're playing WoW, and your guild is about to kill Onyxia for the first time. Then- when you're most needed- (Imagine being the tank) this happens. It completely gets past me how much I would want to throw my computer out of the window, and then the last payload happens. You just sit back an relax as you're kicked from the ventrillo chat, and your guild. But you don't care. This is all you want in a computer.

@@malwaretestingfan Perhaps due to it deleting the MBR and trying to access parts of the memory it is not allowed to access (to trigger the BSOD), both are not legitimate things for software to do obviously.
There is no AV installed other wise it wouldnt run

This is honestly a pretty neat virus. I mean I would never want it on my PC, but it just seems more thought out for some reason...

Can't you just...oh, wait yeah. Nevermind that'd be bad lol. I was thinking of connecting the infected hdd to your computer and opening it in vm to then remove anything on it so that it could be used again. But suppose that wouldn't really work.
You can connect the infected drive to another PC and it won't hurt it as far as I know. All it needs is a format and it's back to normal. All the data is also still recoverable. I would recommend not using Windows as the OS to format the drive, just in case though.
You can safely use it using MEMZ clean.

I want a non-destructive version of this malware for a screensaver.
TO FIX IT
1.- Download RescaTUX or a live CD with TestDisk program (ONLY TESTDISK WORKS)
2.- Search for lost partitions, select Intel/PC Partition or EFI, depending on the computer you have (CAUTION!!! MISSELECTING THE TYPE OF DISK WILL FUCK UP YOUR DATA AND OS)
3. After partitions show up on screen, use right arrow keys to select write and then, confirm,
4. Take a Windows Installation Disc, 7 works fine, but 8 and above are most succesful to fix the boot
5. Select Startup Repair DON'T install,
6.- Your computer should boot as always

Around two or three years ago, I watched both Vinesauce and danooct1 and never thought they would collaborate. This was surprising when Joel mentioned danooct1 during his Windows 10 destruction livestream.
When you kill the process and it destroys everything, do you think getting the one with the lowest process id and killing that one's tree will do the trick? It will kill all of the other spawned processes at once so that should work...

No, killing the process tree does not work. The main process spawns several other ones, then killing itself. This causes them to be not in the same tree anymore.
You'd have to fix your boot sector tho
lower pid doesn't necessarily mean older process, but if you somehow got the correct process, yes, you should be able to theoretically kill all the monitoring processes. the one issue at that point is that the MBR is still screwed.
