- This tutorial shows you how to remove and replace the electronic ABS module on a B6 or B7 Audi A4, without undoing any hydraulic brake lines. No bleeding necessary.
The procedure would also work very similarly on other VW and Audi cars of the same era.
The idea is to empty out the area directly around the electronic module, then unclip the ABS unit from the body and gently lift it up, unscrew the electronic part from the hydraulic part, and pull the module out.
Installation is the reverse of removal. I know, I always hated reading that in the manual... but it really is. Don't forget that you will have to program the new module once it's installed - I used VAGCOM (Rosstech VCDS).

Good video! First time seeing the top section of the windshield washer bottle popped off. I saw in another video that the "basket" that the abs pump and module sit in can also be unbolted (you can see one of the bolts in your the whole time) to give more access to the bottom screws.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that next time!
No coding needed?
I'M FROM BRAZIL AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE I CAN IMPORT THIS MODULE
Do one need coding or someth if you change the module?
Yes, it will need coding. You will need a scan tool such as VCDS (Vag-com). There are videos on how to do this, but the best one I've seen is by Ross-Tech (the maker of VCDS).
This page has everything you need:

I'm not affiliated with ross-tech, I just have their tool.
