What is Catan (Universe)?
Catan, previously known as The Settlers of Catan or simply Settlers, is a multiplayer board game designed by Klaus Teuber. It was first published in 1995 in Germany by Franckh-Kosmos Verlag (Kosmos) as Die Siedler von Catan. Players take on the roles of settlers, each attempting to build and develop holdings while trading and acquiring resources. Players gain points as their settlements grow; the first to reach a set number of points, typically 10, wins. The game and its many expansions are also published by Catan Studio, Filosofia, GP, Inc., 999 Games, Κάισσα, and Devir.

The next few weeks is going to be extremely busy for me... traveling to another state and a long camping trip (vacation).
I have been pre-recording videos so that you guys won't notice that I'm not around... with the exception of me NOT responding to comments for the next few weeks. So no change or anything to uploading schedule or posting... videos on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (at 1 PM EST).
I'll reply to comments the best I can, but might not be able to reply to all specific plays in the videos due to being on the road and such.

MISTAKES WERE MADE!! 🤣
This is a clear 9/5/10 start, you block off the good ore spots, monopolizing the ore wheat sheep strategy.
And it played out exactly like I thought it would on that board. There just wasn't enough good brick and wood to make road strategy viable and you monopolized ore/wheat/sheep.
Good game! You could have won with 11 points with the road building and 2:1’ing your wheat for two roads. You didn’t seem too happy about the rb but I think it was a useful card for sure 🙂

28:52 Fun alternate way to end the game: trade 4 wheat for 2 brick, build two roads, then use road building to get 2 more roads, get longest road and win the game ;)
i think most of us seen that, and most of us would have done that to get the last VP

Haven’t seen the video yet. But my first thought was taking the 3 11 6 and getting the free road.. cutting off red to ore port?
Imo city to double your pips on 6 3 11 is bettee thsn a wheat port and 10 settlement.
Also you should have tried to rob Blue of his wood before rolling. You rolled a 6 and he picked up 2 sheep so your chances decreased by 33% of nabbing the wood.

@20:16 yellow wasn't thumbs up on the trade he was happy your wheat was blocked he thumbs uped when it was initially blocked as well. At least I think that's what I believe yellow was doing... Could be wrong i'm usually optimistic but the pattern there seemed salty so leaning pessimistic on that one.
I would have go same as blue and go to sheep port it's so strong 8 5 6 free card if you have city
i was like "LEAVE THE 5 8 10" when blue was placing their second settlement lol would have been super OP for you, still got the win so whatever, good game!
I didn’t see any world where he doesn’t take that, blue was pointed right at the sheep port and they can take the 3 best sheep spots.
@@Hunter-os5yx true, good point, i didn't even see the sheep port, was looking at spathy's game primarily, i guess if Blue's ore/wheat production were better, they might have had a better chance at this game

Didn’t delete your question, here’s my response (someone asked about it before): I tired playing a bot game awhile back. I prefer Catan Universe’s UI more… but since ranked mode is out, I might give it a shot sometime!
