      Update the thicker the liquid the less gets frothed. So thinner milk may be correct. It's working great so far, and strong enough I don't use extra shot. And I just raised my grind setting/larger. This is a good thing. I recommend so far. I'm thinking of buying an extra carafe, one for milk, one for flavored creamer.

    Hi, I saw on the comments that you prefer the delonghi dinamica plus over this philips 5400.
    I’ve heard you can’t do 2 shots at a time on that machine, like how Philips can. Is that true? It wasn’t clear to me in the video you guys made on the delonghi.
    Also, compared to a semi auto like breville barista touch, is the espresso quality much less? Or just a little less? Lol

    How is the taste of the non-milk drinks, i.e. espresso, coffee, americano, etc., compared to other super automatic machines you have used/tested? I am interested in a super automatic due to convenience over semiautomatic machines, but for me personally the taste quality of the espresso and coffee produced is the most important factor in making a purchasing decision. Thank you for your review and any additional input / recommendations you can provide.

    • @ecscoffeeinc

      @@ecscoffeeinc Thank you for your response. Yes, wish I lived near you or another similar coffee gear shop where I could actually sample espresso/coffee from different machines, but none in my area. So, just have to go on others reviews/options. I realize that makes it difficult as taste is subjective for sure, but hoped to rely on more experts input/opinion at lest if there are any significant differences at all between machines, having tested with the same beans to keep the controllable things as consistent as possible, that do seem to produce more consistent quality taste/flavor in espresso and other non-milk coffee type drinks - as milk can mask somewhat the actual taste quality of the espresso for me. Anyway, thank you again as do appreciate your response back and input provided.

    Quick question for you. I got my Philips 5400 yesterday in the mail and absolutely love it, now that I have experimented with some settings. The cappuccino really has a nice delivery of flavor and presentation. If I wanted to try and make a mochaccino how might I go about that ? I tried a little chocolate syrup at the very bottom of the coffee cup in which the frothed milk hits it first (before the expresso shot) but it doesn't mix well. can I use the carafe and throw some syrup in with the milk so that it gets mixed as it froths ? Outside of that it worked really well and I've got an assortment of different expresso beans showing up today !!

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Don't use the carafe...will be a pain to clean. Instead rim the cup with syrup as if you spilled.paont down the sides of the cup. Then throw in some.hot cocoa powder and mix as the drink comes out

    My EP5443/90 seems to be jammed/stuck but not in the way anyone would
    imagine - when I use normal coffee (second option) it gives few seconds
    of normal flow and then starts drop-by-drop like its jammed, takes 3-4
    mins to fill my cup up, so by that time its not that hot, but it flows
    fairly normally when trying espresso (first option). Fairly, not great. I
    tried replacing filter, washed brew group (or what that thing's called
    from the side), still same problem, tried without filter, same thing.

      @@ecscoffeeinc Okay. So thats way it tastes like dog water. But on my machine i cant set grams to ml ratio. Its just strength and amount of coffee. Also when i choose 120ml milk it gives me like 60ml. I got the 4300. I bought it to save time. I usually brew with the V60 and grind with the Comandante C40 so i am very disappointed that this 600euro machine cant make a decent cup of coffee. It just cant measure against the slow brew. Thanks, I bought the machine before remembering my comment. I agree, the creamy taste is not as the one from a skilled barista. However, me and my husband are very pleased with this machine. As parents to two small children, this is a well needed treat. I am trying out different beans now to find my favourite. Also, I agree that whole milk makes the latte creamier too. I have tried different setups and I think I got pretty near the perfect latte.
