    • @5MinutesBlender

      There has to be some amount of gap between the sphere (inflow object) and the pipe (effector). This amount of gap depends on the resolution divisions. For lower divisions (

    Which laptop size is best for blender...??

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Laptop size? 🤔 You need sufficient RAM (8 GB or higher) preferably with a GPU and at least 2 GHz clock speed for good rendering. Anything more than this is even better. The screen size does not matter but 1080P resolution is preferable.

    Great tutorial. My sink and waterflow turned out great. However, when I attempted a render of the animation the original cube, used for the cutout of the basin, appears, and blocks the view of the sink. I do have visibility of that object turned off. Any ideas? Thanks!

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you turn off the visibility of that object also in render? Click the camera icon beside the eye-icon where you disable the visibility, the camera icon is for render and the eye-icon is for viewport. Once disabled in the render, it won't appear any longer in the render output. Please let me know if this works.

    Even though I added material, there are many different colors in the water drops. How can I solve this?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Water has a property to show some of the ambient colors due to refraction, it's only natural. If you turn off refraction, it won't show any colors, but it won't look natural as well. If you think refraction is not the reason, or if the colors are too bright, I need to see your blend file before I can suggest something. You can send your blend file to 5minblender@gmail.com for us to verify.

    I made exactly the same, but the simulation doesn't apears! What do I need to make it works?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which part of the simulation is not working? If your fluid simulation is at all not even appearing, here are some possible reasons: 1) The old cache is not cleared, please clear them 2) The domain size is large compared to the flow object, either enlarge the flow object or reduce the domain size 3) The domain resolution division is not sufficient, please increase it. If nothing works, you can send us your blend file so that we can investigate it further. You can get our contact details (Email ID) in the about section of this channel. Thanks!

      @@5MinutesBlender The part where you apply the fluid simulation to the sphere and then you play the animation and the water flows but mine doesnt 😅, so i just continued following the tutorial to the end thinking it will fix my problem but it still not flowing

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay, that can happen for several reasons - but primarily I'd suspect two things. Either the scale & domain resolution values are not in correct proportion, or the fluid cache is not cleared (which sometimes causes a frustration because whatever changes you make, it just does not seem to take effect). If you followed the tutorial ditto as shown, the scales should not be the issue. Please select the domain object, and go to the Physics tab. You will see a field called Resolution. Please make some changes into that. It is better to use a higher value like 64 (or even higher for a better result, but 64 is good enough for test purpose). Now go back to the first frame. You don't need to even run the animation. On the first frame itself, you should see the fluid particles appearing around your flow object. If this is not happening, please check if your flow object is enabled. This tutorial is primarily about enabling and disabling the flow object, in order to control its flow. So, if you keep the flow object disabled (unintentionally of course), it won't show any fluid. So if nothing above works, please remove all keyframes from the flow object, and test if the basic fluid simulation is working or not. I will wait to hear from you. All the best!

    funny how the fluid sim works for you
    not for me

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry to know that the simulation did not work for you. Blender physics simulations need a bit of experiments and patience. If you follow our tutorial word by word, it must work. However, if some dimensions are different or some other minor change is there, the result maybe way different. Nonetheless, if you can describe what issues you are facing, I can suggest you something. If the water does not appear at all, please check the domain resolution you have used, it should be proportionate with the domain and the flow objects. If water is visible but it is not restricted within the sink (effector), please check the thickness settings for the sink material. Likewise, you can describe the actual issues that you are facing.

      The water doesn’t even show up inside the source

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@theonecommenter Let's do this. Remove the tap. It covers the Flow object. So if the gap between the Flow object and an effector is too small, the Flow won't work. So remove the tap. Let there be only a Flow object and a Domain. Now check if the simulation works. If not, increase the size of the Flow object until it works. Please remember that at each step you need to clear the cache - and it is easier said than done. Often Blender will make us believe that the cache is cleared, but the cache files stay there, it plays the old data and we wonder why the simulation is not working. Once you see water, reduce the size of the Flow object and increase the Domain resolution. Too small Flow object will need a higher value in the Domain resolution. Once you get this part solved, bring back the tap and test with it. Please let me know what happens.
