This is my favorite runner interview. You both seemed to be enjoying the conversation, and you asked less common questions. The audio and visual were fine for my standards. You have a calling. Bring on more interviews!
exactly! it felt like a genuine conversation between two passionate runners. Definitely fresh and different from all the kinda generic interviews out there
If I were to interview Jim Walmsley as my first interview, I think I would be relieved. I have never seen a bad Walmsley interview. And you asked nothing but very good questions while staying away from the obvious ones everyone else has already asked. He loves being interviewed and will carry the interview by himself if necessary. You didn't have to risk cross examining him as a hostile witness. You have to beat the answers out of some athletes. Good job. I love these interviews. It's a great sport and I get the feeling that we are now living in the golden age just before the corporations take over. It's all good.
Really enjoyed the interview with Jim. Film quality was fine, the questions were different but had a flow to them..... And Jim seemed to be enjoying it. Stay with these podcasts they’re excellent.
Michael, that was a beautifully honest and straightforward interview. And I thought Jim responded to your style of questioning. He really seemed to enjoy chatting with you. I love trail running and learning more about ultras and ultra running. Great big thumbs up!
Enjoyed the interview, you managed well to jiggle between prepared questions and take advantage of what came along. I should do more. Jim doesn't always look very available for this sort of stuff, but I felt he enjoyed taking the time to talk to you (and your followers).
Great interview Kofuzi with Jim walmsley, I noticed Jim is way more relaxed these days in his interviews, early days Jim use to come across as if he didn’t like the media, now he looks like he really likes being interviewed, in this interview I wish you could have both been on the one zoom screen at the same time would have been super cool, more interviews Michael you’re doing awesome 😀☘️🌲👊🏼🌴👍🏻✅🙏
That was such a great interview Kofuzi! I used to watch your channel everyday while training for my first marathon. I ended up getting crippling plantar fasciitis which transfered me over to cycling unfortunately. Im back to watching all your videos regardless!
I thought it was a great job Mike. I enjoyed the conversational nature of the interview, and thought the quality was very good no issues with the Zoom. Been having to catch up at off times and unable to make the livestreams but maybe tomorrow. Thanks again for this and I look forward to the next one
Good job on the interview! It seemed more genuine than most athlete interviews. Also, I was given a bucket hat at a beach 10K race. It's sitting at the bottom of my hat pile, may have to try running with it one of these days. Let's get the bucket hat fad started.
very good interview, audio/video quality were fine. Jim came across as a good guy, easy to talk w/. The questions were varied and w/ a good cadence, great job
I my first/only ultra Sonoma 50 a few yrs ago Jims dad was sitting next to me at a pre race dinner. He basically saud he's been setting up shop for jims events for yrs from soccer as a kid thru todays ultra's. What struck me is mid race from a lawn chair under a tent... i hear a "go mike"... jim's dad gave me a cheer mid race as i ran thru mid pack.
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I did hear you mention you talked to him, but I thought that meant in passing when you saw him along the race. WOW!!!!!!!! Great interview
Awesome way to finish out your Western States coverage with this interview. Enjoyed everything you put out and hopeful you get credentialed for even more races going forward!
Awesome interview 👌🏻👏. Jim is my favourite runner, so humble and you were both a great fit there. Different questions too which was great…. Awesome job 👌🏻👏
@@kofuzi Self-criticism can be a bear. Can't tell you that you'll ever be happy with your interviews, but I know that this was good, and that your 25th interview will be better.
Great interview! He is absolutely right, when you go big ultras like this, it is literally a reunion. You see lots of friends you made along the way to getting into states. I even have had friends say hello in random remote aid stations along the course!
He actually seemed happier to talk to you than other interviews I’ve seen since ws. Great job 👍🏼.. Also, he just said he’s no longer a Coconino Cowboy, interesting!
this was great. If possible maybe a split screen to see both of you the whole time rather than back and forth based on whose talking? (if you do future virtual interviews)

Totally agree. This was the best interview with him I've seen so far. Seemed very natural. Great job.
You have finally made it Mike. Interviewing the GOAT
I’m in over my head
@@kofuzi how would an interview be in over your head, dont you have a law degree?

Jim is great, but GOAT is Kilian Jornet no doubt

Wow, you got to interview Walmsley ? I am so jealous. I only get to wear his shoe designs ;-)
This seems more of a friendly chat between a couple of passionate people than it does a formal interview.
Awesome interview!
Jim is an absolute inspiration and a wonderful human being and thanks kofuzi for the non stop quality content
I think it was a great job you did. He seemed engaged and interested in your thoughts and a genuine young guy and sure I would be proud as his dad too
