I had to chuckle watching people squeezing the water through their filters. That technique makes it hard to clean the filter and shortens the filter's life. They're supposed to be just hung and let gravity gently do the work. Nice video. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
Okay… That trail with the holders that looked like it was straight down 😮 Good Grief! Wet rocks at that! Yikes! Well done traversing that trail! 👏🏻 ❤ Sucks you were socked in. Sending sunny ☀️ vibes to the trail for you both. ESPECIALLY for the day you summit 🎉
Wow… that trail looks challenging. I wonder, as you’re traversing over the creeks ( trail) does your thoughts go back to the days of having to carry extra water… geez…up North is such a different animal. Thank you again for allowing us to follow! You’re a blessing for me. Be safe!✌️🙂💚
Oh my gosh…those snakes were in that exact same spot at Zealand when we hiked the Presis SOBO last summer. And we climbed up the Garfield waterfall…lol…which I think I was glad for! We had a NOBO tell us during the flat section that he had just seen a moose. Sadly, we did not! Another big day for y’all!!! Great job!!!🎉
At the end you mentioned something about a hiking card ? You cashed in ? Or something 🤔 you had to buy 🤔 what is that? And is that thru the AMC ? What does it do for you ? Thank you , sorry for the long question. 😅
Yea so it’s through the AMC. Basically you get it the first time you camp at an AMC shelter/campsite. The AMC offers lower rates for AT thru hikers so it’s $10 per person the first time and $5 per person anytime after that. (Instead of the normal $15 per person to camp at an AMC site) They also offer a free soup, baked good, and hot drink for each thru hiker to cash in at any of the huts and they keep track of it on your card.
Laughing at the "next shipment for PA" comment. Looked to me like y'all were more rock climbing/descending instead of hiking on a good part of the trail today. And I thought coming down Dragon's Tooth was a pain, make me appreciate the trails here more and more.
Are there lots of socked in days in NH and Maine or is it my imagination? Don't know. Seems so. And you should get your money back on that so called trail. Looked more like a fishing stream. 😂

Sorry the day was gloomy but glad you got a couple of breaks at the huts. Love the "next shipment of rocks to Pennsylvania" comment. So funny.
The infamous hiking down the waterfall portion of the trail. So much terrifying fun!!
It was so sketch 😂
THAT ROCK GRAVEYARD LOOKED PAINFUL 😅
GLAD YOU DID NOT HAVE TO WALK ON THAT EXACT PILE 🥳
A nice group of hikers today.

It was an interesting trek that day!
That’s some really stressful hiking on steep wet stuff. Great job!! Also cool you saw Pierce.
We were so shocked to see him!

I want to redo Dragon’s Tooth! We had it in the rain.

Why is your smile so fake and forced? What kind of darkness are you hiding inside.
