Good review Ian and agreeing with others you shouldn’t have to justify why you put a heater on, especially in your given circumstances. Probably more lecky wasted in homes than in caravans . The site charges X amount for your 16amp hookup and it’s up to you how you use it . If you chose to only use minimal juice , they would still charge you same. On max power you’re only drawing just over 5 amps so this could be compensated for by not using other stuff. Good vlog as usual Ian 👍🏻
Thanks for the review, definitely looking at getting 1 of those for the awning. I wouldn't worry about the negative comments, some people just have nothing better to do except moan and complain about others. Was nice to meet you both @ Blakemere on the weekend 🤝. Best wishes to you , Claire and the little fella 👍
Nice review Ian, we are on our second one of those heaters, brought our first one 16 years ago to help warm the rear washroom up in our then Bailey Pageant, but mostly we use it in the awning and that is not very often, hope Clare is feeling better and you all had a lovely break
Ian, if your Mrs was not well, you paid your site fee, you did no harm!! As foreman of the Jury, NOT GUILTY!, PS: I Love a defiant defendant! Paul in Yorkshire!
A bought one it's a great wee heater that saves me turning on the gas central heating when am the only one in a 3 bedroom house, bought the heater 3 months ago and in that time I have only used 3 units of gas.
I love mine. Its the only heater I've had that feels like sitting in the sun... my dogs love it too. Plus it lights up the room. Downside is I like to sleep in pitch black
The only time I would use one of these is in the evening to keep the chil off, while relaxing. Their use is up to the individual and what they want to do. Like the act of defiance, just my style ;) Keep up the good work!
I agree with others you pay for the electric if you need to use it then use it that’s why it’s there if I needed mine I would have no hesitation in using it .So no need to defend yourself
Ian, please dont justify to these people who like to have a moan!!! Youve paid for your pitch so whats their problem?? Im glad you did this vlog, so anyone who wants to have a dig at you , go and do one!!!👍👍
First up I have no idea what people were moaning about in the first place. However, what I was looking for with this review did not answer my question and when you were going on about having it on for only half an hour I thought it was because it was too expensive to have it on. The way energy prices have gone up is very concerning and worrying for me who is currently unemployed and on Universal Credit. It is, without doubt, the worst winter I have ever known not down to the weather conditions but the price of gas. To have my Central heating on it costs £20 per day which works out to £140 per week and £560 per month. The government gives you £67 per month to help towards the cost of both electricity and gas and that £560 per month is only the price of gas alone. I only get £250 per month to live on and even with the extra £67 per month, there is simply no way on this earth I can put the heating on. Today I went to an energy fair at my local library and was advised to go to see if they could do anything to help me out. The woman I spoke to recommended these Halogen Heaters and although I have Halogen light bulbs in my kitchen I have never come across these things. Now what I would like to know is are these things cheaper than running the old electric fires that had bars and are you actually just burning the 400 or 800 watts like a light bulb for example or are they just as expensive to run.
Ian you shouldn't have to justify why you choose to use a heater in the awning or caravan. Prices are going up everywhere but we all still need to live. Now I am going to go and chop up my soap box and use it as firewood cos leccy getting to expensive 😂🤣😂
Ignore the moaners, you should not have to justify why you used the electric heater, sites have put prices up to due to rise in electric costs, you paid for the pitch including electric so it's your personal choice to use the electric as you want, if you were on a pitch with metered electricity you would have done the same 👍
This is the problem with putting yourself out there and being in the ‘public’ eye more than others, everyone is a critic and feels entitled to have their say, no matter how stupid they are.
Ignore the Karen's Ian they are probably driving around in Range Rovers or something equally polluting, you've paid your site fees and haven't been excessive or heated an unused awning, you've simply let Claire warm up and then switched it off

Good vlog as usual Ian 👍🏻
aaaggghh 5amps thanks Howard. I don't fully understand those terms. I guess that's why the 16amp held up to full heat settings.
@@ForTheLoveOfCaravans 1200W heater divide by 230 (V) =5.2 Amps 👍🏻 ⚡️

Some just want to be horrible rather than just be nice.

She was just a bit under the weather. Did not expect any backlash to a small heater but there you go. Hope you both well.
Thanks for the review, just bought 4 👍😄

I certainly showed my defiance here I guess. Cheers...

Take no notice of the moaners, I would have done the same , Hope Claire is feeling better x
Thanks Gillian... no more notice being taken. Will be taking it to Anglesey on Sunday.
Great review. Will get one of them for the winter for our awning. Don’t worry about negative comments if they don’t like it it’s just tuff.

I guess there will always be haters.
We have got a smaller version of that heater we could only use 1bar has it kept tripping but it kept us warm all night
I used all the settings and the 16amp held up. Should have put the kettle on too and caused a Twitter riot lol.
Ian would it use less power if you didn’t plug it in 😀
Would this worm a single garage up say for a few hrs .
How dare you try to keep yourself comfortable 😂
Indeed... how dare we.
Ian, please dont justify to these people who like to have a moan!!!
Youve paid for your pitch so whats their problem??
Im glad you did this vlog, so anyone who wants to have a dig at you , go and do one!!!👍👍
I am a rebel at heart.
Sod what other people think mate, you paid the pitch fees so use it if you are cold. Life is far to short to worry about what others think or say.

I see no problem at all with using the heater, you've paid for the electricity.

hahahaha Be careful the wood police don't see you burning wood.

Indeed... I would have paid what I owed.

Strange as we are only trying to help others.
How very dare you using an electric heater 😂 if you’re away you’re not using the leccy at home. Fill your boots 😛
Yeah... how dare use electric I have paid for.
no need to explain yourself to anyone, bet the ones moaning have their central heating on all day
Showing my rebellious side here I guess.

Karen's.... yeah they are becoming a thing ain't they?
Nice heater most heaters now days are about 3kw so u r well under that , trouble today is u cant laugh and have to be politically correct !
Your right there.... at least TH-cam gave me a platform to display my defiance.
I thought this was a review 😅
That's wot u pay your fees for don't lesson 2 then guys
