      Kudos for the Video clip! Excuse me for butting in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you considered - Marnaavid Unexplainable Intervention (probably on Google)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to hack your flow state minus the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my buddy after a lifetime of fighting got cool success with it.

      I couldn’t do it. lol When it comes to brief deep breathing meditation videos, I’m used to breathing meditations that only involve deep breathing. So after hearing “take two deep breaths” and taking them, I couldn’t take anything other than deep, controlled breaths. I think I was able to breath naturally without controlling it for one very brief moment. But I decided it was ok to take deep breaths too. I’d like to try this exercise again in the future now that I know what to expect. Learning to appreciate our natural breath is valuable. :-)

    I've been doing this for a decade now, i tried a lot of different meditations etc, but the simplest observation of my breathing was always the most functional one. You don't need a video to do it, of course to start it's a fantastic video. Try to do it on your own as well. The interesting thing is that 1 hour of meditation may seem like 5 minutes and then when you're truly present in the normal life, 5 minutes seems like 1 hour

    This is by far my favourite breathing relaxation video on TH-cam. No cheesy background music and images, no quasi-spiritual mumbo jumbo. Works every single time and really calms me down when I need it. Typically I play this more than once, in most cases 3 times in a row to achieve the result that I'm after - is there a chance for you to upload a longer (e.g. 15 minutes) practice with the same approach?

    Lovely Meditation. ...Buddha spent six years meditating on the essence, causes, and cures for human anguish. In the end, he came to the realization that suffering is not caused by ill fortune, by social injustice, or by divine whims. Rather, suffering is caused by the behaviour patterns of one’s minds. Yuval Noah Harari (Sapiens)

Coz so far watching western guided meditation really doesn't live up to my ego - death expectations

    • @jupitercyclops6521
      @jupitercyclops6521 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're right, your not doing it right or not getting it.
      Could be your expectations are too high.
      A person can expect outstanding benefits eventually, but it takes a while to build up to that level.
      This guy is ok, but ive heard WAY better.
      He is kinda generic.
      Watch some of the old "fear factor" shows.
      Every once in a while, a person will use deep breathing to control their fears. Joe usually can spot them.
      Keep trying, look for other vids or books and be patient.
      Good luck
      BTW- sleepy can be a sign of doing it right. You should feel relaxed to the point some peeps will fall asleep.
      It takes a while to build up to 15min, but they say 15 min of solid meditation = 1 sleep cycle or 1 1/2 hrs sleep
