And this means that alits is just her experiencing it all over again like she says and she acts like she is new to the place and the voices which Idk who tell her "This will make it even worse" she knows that she made this world
The voices are supposedly her friends. At the end of ABP, she says "If I just smile, everything will be fine." (Or something along those lines) which may be why she doesn't change faces when she takes damage in ALITS.

Here i explain: so the cat was looked in a room where it was almost endless it had 9 pages(idk how to spell pages)and she had to complet(idk how to speel complet too)it she wanted to get out and at the and she pushed that door and says:why did i push it away do i want to stay here? Everything is so much better in here....everything can be fixed ...i want to start over and over again" and then they were those orange recktangle that could hurt here and killed her so she could respawn again but there is another phase that called "reset" and there will be more! (Hope this helps! And sry if i have bad Englisch)
Tbh this game has alot of effect and lore already but with this 'meme' it doubles the effects and vibes the game gives of in the first place Edit: the description to this is rubbish. Even without things like the background being good it's still amazing.
Fun Fact: The Developers Said that If Lumi loses her face, it means she's losing Hope.
