Excellent video, told (and showed) me exactly what I needed to know. The most important part was the information about those little set screws that had to be loosened to get the handle free, I wouldn't have figured that out on my own at all.
I have a old maytag and it is not stainless steel the lower freezer door handle is loose and I cannot find any screw under the handles and cannot remove it , any answers? It is a bisque color and like I said old but still working!
No screws on mine either! I was able to push the Fridge handle up and remove that, then replace it, there were no screws! It's a MBF1958XEW0, I thought the freezer would be the same.
@@donnawyman988 we ended up buying a new lg with all the fixins lol I mean we got like 25 plus years out of the old Maytag just afraid of all the new technology, 😭😩
All three of our handles have come off so often that the insides are stripped and need replaced. A new one costs almost $200. I wish there was a fix that did not include buying all new handles. Thank you for the video though.

I have done what you showed. For some reason the handle screws won’t get n the right position and the handle won’t tighten. Help

What if the holes where the stud bolts go are stripped and wont hold the bolts anymore!?

How can i get a replacement l rance screw??.. Mine are strip??
What if one of the screws won’t budge. Got the other side tightened.
Take a dremmel and cut a flat groove in it and use a small flathead to un screw it. I wish that was our problem 😕 we can't find the hardware

It might be inside the handle. Loose the set screw on that side and tip it face down.
