wow it's rare to see the spave let loose like that. he's usually a more reserved in the pocket kinda player, well from what I've seen anyways. to phrase so freely over the music with such confidence and style is just incredible.

Both are extremely good in their own way Vinnie is a legend but spaven is modern day Pro drummer and has Benny Greb like skills fullstop.

I think Chris Dave, with Robert Glasper Experiment, is simplier than M.Spaven... Spaven use a different drumming langage, you know ?

agreed - if they were slightly brighter - would be just perfect - but the record by itself has very strange response - so you can't definitely say - is it cymbals or mics setup.
