thanks a lot, I just made my first home server with an old laptop and wanted to be able to make a minecraft server with it or actually use it for any kind of game server, then realised my IPS sucks and didn't give me a Public IP so no port forwarding... This saved me man thanks a lot!
If the server is on your own pc, you will have lower latency than everyone else. However, the latency of the others is not that high, so it shouldn't be a problem. Thank you!
I haven't played that game, but according to steam it is just a singleplayer game. I'm not sure why you would need port forwarding for that. But anyway, you just need to find out which 'port' the game uses, and then make a tunnel with playit gg. Just remember to run the playit program before playing the game.
How does everyone else get to your server? do they use the shareable URL and or IP address with the port number and they paste that info into their browser? Thanks for the help!
It depends on the game, but most of the time you share the IP address and the port. Remember that you need to share the port with the url too. At the end both are basically the same thing, the url is just a name for the ip anyway. If your game accepts ip address, then you should probably use that.
@@GameFeverOnline Thanks for the reply! I trying to setup a Descent game. so within the game you put the IP and Port in the multiplayer section for running your own game?
@@4430salton Sorry for the late response. You are using DXX-rebirth right? That's the one I know. In the server you don't need to do anything. In the client side (the one that connects to your server) you can click where it says manual ip or some thing like that and there you put the ip and the **game** port, leave the "my port" as it is. However, if on the server you enable the tracker function it should then appear in the "find game" menu.
@@bielik1958Did you choose the correct protocol? (udp vs tcp?) I am not familiar with that game, so I can't help you more than a quick google search. I hope you can fix it though.
@@ROMANCISSE Just follow along with the video. In it I explain how to set it up. When I mention the ports just replace the ones i use with the one that game uses.
@@GameFeverOnline the ports are UDP, TCP and HTTP. UDP and TCP are 9600, HTTP is 8081. So is the protocol tcp + udp? what is the port count, 2? and is the local port then 8081? and where the hell i put the 9600?
So I got the file of an online game that got annexed and no longer available on the market, the Server got shutdown since 2012 but I want to revive it to play single player offline for my own memory enjoyment. Is there anything possible?
Can't tell how happy I'm, thanks a million man.

I was looking smth like this for a long time
my only question is does everyone have latency or only others
also nice vid :)

BRO THIS HELPED ME SO MUCH TY BRO I CAN FINALLY PLAY WITH MY BOYS WITHOUT PURCHASING SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR SERVERS
Does this work with srb2?

can I do that with cs2 server?
Do you know how to use this for Palworld dedicated servers ?
I don't know the specifics for that game, but just look up which port it uses.
I can't host an SAMP [ San Andreas Multiplayer ) server with this unfortunately.
Ok that's cool. I don't think I'll ever use this information for anything, but still nice video
It's better to know and not need than to not know and need.
Can i host gta vice city multiplayer server?
do you know how to do this with Terraria? It finds the server but it dosent connect.
I don't know what to say.. Maybe launch from the terminal to see what the error is? Also try to switch the tunnel from TCP to UDP.
@@GameFeverOnlinefixed it. sorry for the wait to reply I just kind of forgot about setting up a server until today.
@@FireFlameExists Awesome! In case someone has a similar issue, could you tell me what caused it to not work?

Works on scpsl?

Yes! Just make four tunnels and it should work.

Did you add the correct port the game uses? Also remember to leave running in the background the playit program, otherwise it don't work

How do i find my local port?
You need to search on the internet which port you specific game needs. If you game has a manual maybe check there toó.
Someone has used it to host assetto corsa servers?
Unfortunately I don't play that game, but it should work if you set up the tunnel for the game's ports. Apparently they are 9600 and 8081.

I'm not sure... If the game relied on the server, the only way would be to reverse engineer the protocol it used. It would be really hard though.
