    The best example on how to tune your machine that i found on here for new users

  • @cyc25ruffneck
    @cyc25ruffneck 5 ปีที่แล้ว +27

    1) To everyone saying this machine is a shader......its not, it's a cheap generic, 10 wrap machine, intended to be somewhat usable as a liner or shader, depending on contact screw adjustment.
    2) The rubber thing, you referred to as a grommet, is an o-ring. Its purpose is not to "make the machine sound tuned." Its purpose is to make the contact spring act harder than it is.
    3) The screw at the back of the machine is not called the binding post, the rear binding post is at the bottom of the machine, where your clip cord attaches. It's the post that "binds" your coil wires to your frame.

    Great tips dude, they actually got my lines nice and dark. I very much approve of this to anyone wondering in the comments. This mixed with a voltage of 11 or 110-130cps definitely works. Thank you again, this video was exactly what I needed!

    Hmmm this is a shader machine to start with not a liner! Run the o-ring to keep tension on the front spring keep your machine in tune.

    It is difficult seeing the figure eight on video (something having to do with frame rate?) Once you have the machine in your hand and get to that point you will see it immediately, auto-magically.
    Its also true about hearing and feeling the vibration or 'run' of the machine. You can have all specks measured with feeler gauges or whatever... you STILL have to have it in your hands. We (me and myself) used to sit in front of the tv and partially disasemble and reassemble and tune my machine, just to have the feel for it. And my first machines did not hold a tune, always haveing to twist and adjust durring the tattoo...ugh, groan. Later I got a good solid machine which held a tune even if you dropped it.
    It didn't, back in the day, maybe not so much now, coast too much to get a couple of machines. Maybe even the local biker would sell thier old switchbacks, but a good solid plain-ol' liner-shader or set, liner and shader paid for themselves rather quickly without making you have to sell your car to afford them (I drove really cheap cars).
    Remember these guys often were building thier own irons, wrapping thier own coils and cutting springs out of metal lumber strapping, sodering needles with a jig that was basically a 1.5 inch cube of metal or wood with several size holes drilled in it.
    Listen to Mr. Realtattoos, he knows what he speaks of and is only trying to make you better at your trade.

      Idk why prissy fairys love to gatekeep like this? How is anyone supposed to get into tattooing? Reputable machine builders probably won't sell to you or over charge cuz ur green, Chinese machines are good for you to learn how the machine actually works because of how many times you have to fix and fiddle with it. I don't understand why you gentiles get ur panties in a bunch, its not like having the best machine will prevent you from doing a jacked up tattoo if you are just starting out, and if anything breaks it isn't a expensive break. Listen kids go fuck up ur friends the biggest thing you should worry about is being clean and not getting anyone sick, laser can fix the rest 😁

      Press the pedal down and flick the armature bar nipple down. If it starts to run then you may need a little tension on the back spring or more voltage, maybe both.

Well this fool would talk about everyone every time they were not around. Even had a baby from a artist there and would deny they messed around or even the kid was his.they are all fake backstabbing two faced people. They all say you have to apprentice, but when you try to they all turn you down. Like they want the art to die. Well check it out "Mr. Professional" I'm a home tattoo artist I have an autoclave I'm clean and I do good clean work. x3Eyon leave the o-ring on. It affects the throw of the needle. You NEED it. And your machine should not sound lile that. You need it tuned till you have what is referred to as 'ghosting' checl out Johnny Gault on youtube. One of the best instructors on here.

    Does anybody see the second he touches the arm bar it stops or boggs out that means its unstable and improper. Also the set up on the machine is for shading the contact spring would be shorter for a closer faster run for lining. This guy is full of sh!t. Dont bother with this seriously. Learn properly for your clients and if your listening to him i pray for your clients.
