Not sure if it’s possible to private message in TH-cam so hopefully you get this. I am a hotel general manager in Portland Maine and was surprised my hotel was not on as best value, but that said it technically is in South Portland at the airport rather than downtown and this appears to be focused to downtown hotels so I get it, but I figured I’d give it a watch.
You should honestly delete this video, it is filled with extremely bad information. The first two hotels are actually in Portland, Oregon (west coast USA). The landmarks you reference are even in Oregon. There is a Hampton Inn and Suites downtown Portland Maine as well as one in the outskirts but neither would EVER be top five even top ten.
The third hotel, Clarion, does exist in Maine however you’re still referencing landmarks in Oregon, Cascades Station. It is presently selling most of their rooms to vulnerable housing contracts within the city, it’s basically a homeless shelter, I wouldn’t recommend tourists stay there.
The Press is definitely the best hotel in the area and the landmarks there were accurate.
Finally I am so baffled by your number one choice, that place is a serious rip off. While it is in Maine and the landmarks are accurate, it is in a horrible location for tourists to stay, it’s more geared towards visitors/patients of the hospital or maybe a budget conscious business traveller that needs to be downtown for some reason. My suggestion for a budget conscious traveller to Portland Maine is stay in South Portland and Uber, even two Uber trips per day you will still save from paying the insane downtown rates ($400-1000+++).
The pandemic like other industries has changed mine greatly. It bothers me when I see content like this that’s half assed for views/$$$. If you want to rip people off become an online travel agent like Priceline or SnapTravel. What you do with a video like this is steer people into booking a room in a wrong location which causes them potential financial hardship. I’ve personally dealt with online travel agencies booking someone in Oregon for $150 in July but they were traveling to Portland Maine where my budget hotel is easily charging $299, not only do they have difficulty in getting refunded from Oregon, they’re now double their budget.
Hope you take this constructively, good luck!

It's too bad 3 of the 5 hotels featured are in Portland, Oregon and not Portland, Maine. But why get worry about a tiny detail such as that?
