Would love an update on this project! Or maybe an whole episode on garden yamadori?

Yeah, the tree is doing well, and has had some layering. I am not sure whether he will allow me near it to work on it though!

Absolutely! We are having a very dry spring, so I hope my friend is taking care of this tree well!

Can't wait to see the outcome soon. I'm curious, is there a timing for this you'd recommend if trying to pull a deciduous tree? (I'm assuming this works because the evergreen keeps growing roots over the winter, but naturally a deciduous plant wouldn't be so active then.)

Late fall and early spring are both good times. Just around leaf drop is a really good time to pull deciduous.
I think we will not work this juniper this year. THe summer was hot and dry, and we are not commited to saying this has established itself fully!

Urbanadori is easier than yamadori. Nice tree

Hi Jason, that is absolutely true! Especially if you have the option to work on the yardadory before collecting. :)
