    idk how those dunes are but if youre going to Glamis or the cali dunes and dont want your bike blowing up then get a paddle

    That looks too fun. Can't wait to try out my XR650R with a Paddle tire this next week in the sand. Just scored a 10 paddle from my dad from his old cr500. Guess I will see if the Big Red Pig will have enough power to pull it in the sand. May just be a wheelie machine.

      How did the xrr feel with the 10 paddle. Would you rather go with an 8 paddle to keep it from bogging a little less??. And question 2 . Did that cr500 wheel swap right over to the xrr or did you just mount the paddle on you're rim? I'm looking for used wheel to have ready with a paddle. Wondering what other bikes I could fitl one from? Thanks.

      @@eladionunez2032 The xr650r had plenty of power to spin the 10 paddle, if you like to do wheelies this will work well. This is the first time this felt like it had good traction off road. I just mounted the tire on xr wheel.

    I thought you were gonna go for it and crest that dune! It's really just a mental thing, it's easy, if you fall from the front digging in, at that speed it's just fun and you will laugh, you won't get hurt!

    You need to go over that razorback to see it's no big deal my friend. It looks like it's sharp but it's actually round cause you're tire cuts the sharp edge. It is an easy transition to the other side. Looks like you had a blast I need to get off my ass and start going again I'm only 25min away from glamis but I only go about 4 days a year.

      True, since than I've learned to cross the tip, now I'm learning to trust myself cutting it sideways.. That's a whole lot of scarry

    Big bore 4 strike for the dunes

  • @jamesrobert7155
    @jamesrobert7155 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You have to set your bike up for sand or you take a chance on screwing it up, 250f's work for small guys or girls but you need a 450f to get the most fun out of it.

  • @FrostmoonPlayz
    @FrostmoonPlayz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bro, id get a ktm 250 sx 2 stroke with a sand paddle for that. Itll make twice the power of that yz 250f and its easier to fix if you lose the piston.

    • @vegasromaniac
      @vegasromaniac  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah you gonna have more power, I had a xc, was fun, specially in sand, not much faster surprisingly

      Thor Gustafson you're right mate but the extra power is always handy

    • @KTMcaptain
      @KTMcaptain 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thor Gustafson because the 250 was bogging down going up a small dune. ride glamis once and upgraded to a 450. went back dozens of time and it's a lot more fun and you don't need to wind it out.

    Why did you go up in the front and down in the back sprocket. You need more torc you should have went just 2 up in the back!
