I have to say that I'm a bit skeptical about your never having built anything before. The angles being cut, high end tools being used, and methods like countersinking, using pocket holes, and predrilling elude to some experience working with wood. I base this on my years of home improvement projects, crafting, and building while still not being able to make my 45's line up perfectly or cut a straight line freehand lol. Either way, love the video and you did a great job!
Hey Dean! I totally get your point especially with the array of tools I have at this point. The truth is I had none of that when I started this project, I bought the tools as I needed them and I also learned how to use them as I went (with TH-cam tutorials). I did find a new passion and that’s why I invested so much time, effort and money on it. But thanks for pointing that out and I’m glad you enjoyed following along ✌🏼

I’m also very sceptical. As someone who has been doing carpentry and joinery for 10 years, he is definitely not a beginner. It’s the little things like the tools he’s using and the fact he knew to pilot drill the holes etc which is a giveaway to me. And his jigsaw cuts are very smooth. And for someone who has “never made anything in their life” there certainly have a large variety of specialist tools.

The most impressive thing about this is how he fit everything in the van. I got halfway through the video and all I was wondering was "where is he gonna put the bed, he has no space," but not only does he come up with the idea of making the bed fold out, he also added an entire shower beforehand. Seriously impressive.

I love the way you cut out tje cupboard and drawer fronts from the actual surround, so they all fit perfectly, but damn you must have steady hands because they all looked straight too! I've seen other people's builds with great ideas, but their actual carpentry skills have let the side down completely. Your job looks damned pro!

The most impressive thing about this is how he fit everything in the van. I got halfway through the video and all I was wondering was "where is he gonna put the bed, he has no space," but not only does he come up with the idea of making the bed fold out, he also added an entire shower beforehand. Seriously impressive.

Got alot of equipment for someone never building before but glad to see product is finished to a high standard. Very entertaining you doing the little jobs and edited clips of products moving ect without people being in shot

Well, for someone claiming to not have any experience converting a van, he obviously has a lot of experience with tools, and what to do with them, and how to use them this is a great video, the music, the commentary, the photography all done very well and done in such a way that much could be duplicated. I love the way you cut out tje cupboard and drawer fronts from the actual surround, so they all fit perfectly, but damn you must have steady hands because they all looked straight too! I've seen other people's builds with great ideas, but their actual carpentry skills have let the side down completely. Your job looks damned pro!
