I really enjoyed that vid! Now I know what to do, If I ever spring a leak! Thank you!

This seems very smart to use the zip tape. Our RV is brand new with no leaks, but I would likely do the same thing if I found a leak.

I'm hoping it works. I just wish something similar was part of the factory install so you didn't just have to wait until you see signs of water damage to have to replace the window seal.

Best video I’ve seen to fix our thin single pane windows, I’m thinking about getting dual pane plus adding that zip tape, thanks

When we do the next one I am going to buy a new roll of zip tape and a roll of the stretch tape. Then I’m going to see how many windows I can do with it. I can at least then have a rough cost per window estimate. The tape is expensive but I think well worth it.

I’m fighting leaks myself. I’ve pulled and resealed 8 windows to date. I thought I had it beat until this afternoon when two of them started leaking again after a heavy rain. I like the thought of the flashing tape. Please do an update on how it’s working. Thanks

We will do an update down the road. We are going to get the corner stretch tape soon and do the same thing to the larger bedroom window. I am also going to try the fluid apply style sealant instead of the butyl tape. The butyl tape is a pain to work around the corners and if you don't get it perfect, it just leads to leaks.

@@htelectrical7078 This is what I am thinking about trying next time. Of course I always straddle my ass on a damn ladder while tinkering with my camper. And a big fat ass to boot...

I'm going to choose to take that last part as a compliment.
