How are you doing this? You are a football channel, you shouldn't be this good at making videos explaining the political situation in Ukraine. Fantastic work.
Literally one of the most fascinating videos you guys have ever done! I'm usually here for the tactics videos and the player focus' but this alongside the previous financial videos you guys have done have been so intriguing! Keep up the amazing work! As someone who thought they knew quite a bit about football, you guys are making me realize I know very little haha
I don't know and can't comment about all the other stuff, but as a Shakhtar fan, I can tell you: Akhmetov is the president you can only dream of. He's not the wealthiest man among other European top club, he's rather poor in their company, but he loves Shakhtar and understands football, but his main merrit was building state-of-the-art Shakhtar infrastructure (most of those were destroyed or kept by separatists now, sadly) and efficient team of managerial talent, true professionals that makes an European powerhouse without spending too much money. We're like 3 levels ahead of any Ukrainian club and we're for sure the best Club of the Eastern part of the World, and our rise to power started with Akhmetov.
As a Russian this video is extremely informative to me, I've learnt a lot of stuff I didn't know before. Thanks, Tifo! Maybe, you could look into Evgeny Giner, the chairman of CSKA Moscow, another club which is prominent in Europe or maybe on Miller, the owner of Zenit, which is pumped by money from Gazprom and still isn't a hegemonic club in Russia? Keep it up, lads!
@@amvlogz5832 they're one of Ukraine's two most successful teams and are ucl regulars, even getting as far as the quarter finals. They've also won a Europa league title. Considering the standard of the champions league and european clubs in general, that's pretty successful for a club outside of Europe's top 5 leagues. Edit: also @The Groundhopper, I enjoy our channel btw
I never thought I would respect sports journalism or see it as something that could be done so well and approached so seriously. I feel humbled. Well done.
you guys make excellent videos. and show football/soccer as more than just a game. it is undeniable that football is tied very much so to socio/economic happenings around the world. your channel is an insparation to anyone who loves football and wants to go to write a thesis for a masters or phd in sociology, political science... etc. thank you TIFO!
Dood. I love this channel. As an American this helps me keep up with so much in only one place. It's entertaining and well put together. Glad I subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Good to know , Shakhtar and ukranian football is an interesting topic , i remember shakhtar back in 2011 having a great squad , not only playing in europe every year but going to advanced stages , i believe if they kept their home in Donetsk , they could have rivaled some top teams of the continent , playing them this year was a though one , but i am happy that Roma advanced while playing a great team .
This is what I'm talking about. More of this, please. It's good to see what it took to keep and run a football club and it tells us more about the owners
Great analysis. Love seeing this type of videos that cover these owners. There are certain parts of football that intercepts with politics and the real world. This series covers it well.
Interesting stuff. Shakhtar is a really good club. I remember watching Utd's youth team in the UEFA Youth League against their Shakhtar counterparts and the quality of football from the Ukrainians was unbelievable.
U really make quite brilliant videos on topics like this. The Glazer takeover, Roman Abramovich's Chelsea takeover, ownership of Wolves, and many such examples are brilliantly explained by you. Please make a video on Florentino Perezs' Real Madrid and how he made them a global power or explain the 50+1 rule in Germany. Keep up the great work !!
Nice vid guys! Can you guys make a tactics video showing how England should lineup for the WC with stats on player selection, link ups between players etc... nice idea and if it works you could make a series out of it and do the same for France, Germany, Brazil and even smaller nations ?
I got into Ukrainian football around 2011, it's insane how much things have fallen apart since then, although it's also interesting that Shakhtar has continued to do so well in exile. Lots of clubs have gone bankrupt to some extent including Metalist Kharkiv, Dnipro, Krbass, Arsenal Kiev, and the Crimean teams. Politics and corruption is at the heart of it all.
Shakhtar were still able to sell some of their Brazilians like Fred and Teixeira probably for £100m. The war started and Metalist and Dnipro disappeared, and Chornomorets were good at that time too. Hopefully situation is changing a bit
Really good video, well researched. I hope FIFA are able to get the full license to the Ukrainian league for FIFA 19 it annoys me we can't use Shakhtar properly
A good friend of mine used to be on this guys security team, when he quit he moved to Asia, I won't say where because he was worried that he knew to much, he has cried multiple times telling me stories about things he did under orders.
Damn it never in my mind would i have though that robert mueller of all people would be featured in a football channel. Interesting video guys. Like these stories and keep them coming.
Shakhtar play their games in Kharkiv (north east of Ukraine and the previous capital) at least for the past 3 years There are a couple of other mistakes in this video too
The guy who single handedly ruined Ukraine. Every time I see his face or hear about him my heart aches for many people whose lives he has ruined, and we are talking big numbers, millions...
My favorite team. Also, I'm not Ukrainian nor Russian. Or slav for that matter. Hopefully they will be able to return to Donbass one day. Amazing stadium.
Crimea was not a gift for Ukraine in 1954. It was shifted to Ukraine because of it's tight economic connections to other parts of Ukraine. Before 1954 there was no production and almost no agriculture developed on Crimea.
I feel the fact that Shakhtar Donetsk don't actually play at their current stadium (due to reasons to do with political tension) should've gotten a mention in some capacity.
How are you doing this? You are a football channel, you shouldn't be this good at making videos explaining the political situation in Ukraine. Fantastic work.
Politics are very important in any kind of football club.
It’s a bit unfair to say Tifo is merely a football channel 😉. They always do incredibly thorough and well researched stories.
Someone say politics and Ukraine!!
I’m assuming you have the big guys cut!!
We will send corn-pop as the bagman
No funny stuff i.e laptops or else 🤫
As a ukrainian, I got to say that you guys really did a great job at researching all this stuff. Brilliant, accurate work, love it
How do Ukrainians feel about Trump?
Too profile pic of The Clash from Combat Rock 👍
I won't lie, these are my favorite videos put out by Tifo
Bro keep educating the oblivious masses it's very much a gift.
Watching this right after Russia invaded Eastern Ukraine (Feb 2022) was more educational and informative than any news report on the conflict!
Indeed, I can't believe I've learned so much about the conflict from a football channel.
Literally one of the most fascinating videos you guys have ever done!

And he got you one of the most promising managers in Europe!
⚒
so hes name in arabic is Ahmed.
I was his private chef for 4 years... I wouldn’t put his name near the word poor trust me
He is a bandit, who have away part of the country where Shakhtar is from. And now, he is buying everything in Ukraine.
As a Russian this video is extremely informative to me, I've learnt a lot of stuff I didn't know before. Thanks, Tifo!

Zenit lol club
nice to see a team/country which doesnt get covered much but a successful team
Suscesfull team?? They have any ucl title?

I have always been quite curious about Shaktar. From an information perspective, this video is absolutely brilliant. Thank you Tifo.
Wow! Has to be one of the best videos you guys have put up! Aah, oligarchs and football, a match made in heaven!
Just a little correction, They now play in Kharkiv .
We're still based in Kyiv though.
Just a little correction wont do to propaganda hit piece. :)
in Kiev again
Kyiv, not Kiev, please :)
I never thought I would respect sports journalism or see it as something that could be done so well and approached so seriously. I feel humbled. Well done.
I now understand the whole Paul Manafort thing and that wasn’t even the main point of this video.
You guys need to do a political channel where you explain politics. So impressive
Keep theses videos going, guys! They’re brilliant.
you guys make excellent videos. and show football/soccer as more than just a game. it is undeniable that football is tied very much so to socio/economic happenings around the world. your channel is an insparation to anyone who loves football and wants to go to write a thesis for a masters or phd in sociology, political science... etc.
thank you TIFO!
Boy, you guys are too good.
This was just mind blowing, better than any other tifo's videos
Bandit pundit only cause the black market is involved 🤣
Dood. I love this channel. As an American this helps me keep up with so much in only one place. It's entertaining and well put together. Glad I subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for making this video. Donetsk shall rise again, we are here to stay! Davai Shakhtar!
You guys should be nominated for an award! Your research is phenomenal! You teach me things I wouldn't have known myself!
The videos this channel have done on politics and football are top notch. Bravo! Keep them coming!
Fantastic! This is possibly one of my favorite videos that you have done! Thanks!

Easily the best football chanel in the world right now..Fantastic job!!
Great analysis. Love seeing this type of videos that cover these owners.
There are certain parts of football that intercepts with politics and the real world. This series covers it well.
One of the most underrated clubs in Eastern Europe though. Consistently produce quality players
You guys really do make amazing videos that go beyond footbal
Zamparini of Palermo might make an interesting case!
One of the best Tifo videos I’ve seen
Interesting stuff. Shakhtar is a really good club. I remember watching Utd's youth team in the UEFA Youth League against their Shakhtar counterparts and the quality of football from the Ukrainians was unbelievable.
Never stop Tifo Football, never stop.
the most interesting meet the owners video yet :D tifo rocks, with love from Malaysia !
Top class insight on both political and football good job guys.
very interesting, shakhtar was always the team that you shouldn't underestimate in CL
But why theu dont win any ucl title? They have good players that stoled by manchester city and sime other good teams thar why?
Fantastic video: but I’m still waiting on the Rise & Fall of Deportivo La Coruna...

If not, keep up the great work anyway !
With the World Cup coming up, we will be focusing our Tactics on such team in due course.
I love these videos on owners. Any future segments in the works for owners?
I’m so early in the comments!!
Need to make a request....the spectacular collapse of my team, Rangers.
Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thank you for such videos guys!
OMG this is so accurate!
As the western Ukrainian I can confirm that this guy knows what he's talking about. Amazing job, mate!
You are the Kurzgesagt of Football on YT :P
Willian, Bernard, Bernardo Silva, Texeira, Luis Adriano, Douglas Costa, these scouts are serious on these Brazilian talents
Very interesting video thanks. Even as a Ukrainian I didnt know many of the things brought up here.
fantastic work from tifo
Dang! So much football knowledge

Please do a video on Paulo Fonseca and his tactics at F.C. Shakhtar Donetsk.
Great video !
I love how the narrator makes it seem like being an advisor to Trump is worse than being linked to organized crime.
Great job Tifo!
How? Think he just made it clear how opportunistic a lot of men in power are irrespective of their political leanings.
I’m form Ukraine! And I can tell you everything in this video is true!
Интерпритировать можна по-разному. Тебе то точно неизвестна доля правды этого видео)
Really good video, well researched.
I hope FIFA are able to get the full license to the Ukrainian league for FIFA 19 it annoys me we can't use Shakhtar properly

Your best video so far

@Twingoal-Ø hurt people, badly, of you was in a street gang in the area you could only make money and stay alive by basically joining this guy's Mafia
magnificent video :) .
Fascinating! Love this series
Great! Now can we have the Zorro Paolo Fonseca tactics? Pretty please 😁
Totally agree, would LOVE to see
God we need more videos like this from tifo
Damn it never in my mind would i have though that robert mueller of all people would be featured in a football channel. Interesting video guys. Like these stories and keep them coming.
Brilliant video
Great video! Thank You! Only one thing, it's EuroMaidan, not maidEn. Maidan means "square" in ukrainian.
Great job Tifo!!! Please make a video on Beitar Jerusalem and them being called the most Racist club
Great video
The title got me already.
I have this feeling that the makes of these vids isa comrade
Well well this video just got a whole lot interesting, didn't it?👀
Best. Page. On. TH-cam.
Make Shakhtar great again
If Shaktar had kept all their players that joined big clubs! A sleeping giant could have probably awoken.
Interesting!😎😮

Love your videos, could you do a video on dortmund?
We are presently creating a video on Dortmund for the Official Bundeslga channel. This will be released next Friday on their channel.
Maybe a video on FC Metalist Kharkiv and what happened to them.
You missed Fred from Man U in that list of players
Never thought someone would see the need for a gold loaf of bread...huh...
Great video btw folks
Quality video
Oh yeah it’s all coming together

Well put.
Pronunciation of some names are funny. Still, wonderful vid, thank you very much ;)
Bernard of Everton was at Shakhtar too
A small correction , the revolution was called Euromaidan, not Euromaiden, as in Maidan meaning “City square” in Ukrainian
The guy who single handedly ruined Ukraine. Every time I see his face or hear about him my heart aches for many people whose lives he has ruined, and we are talking big numbers, millions...
Fantastic video but Shaktar are only headquartered in Kyiv buy play in kharkiv

Thank you. Where are you from btw?
Shakhtar literally means ‘Miner’
If US citizens had more interest on football, this video alone would cause massive outbursts in USA. 🤣
Laissez-faire is spelt with an E .. Otherwise fascinating video
