De Tomaso Pantera MK1

Der Motor aus dem Rennsport verleiht dem De Tomaso Pantera seinen kernigen Sound. Spaß bringt der seltene Klassiker vor allem sportlichen Fahrern.
Wer dem Grollen des V-8 Motor eines De Tomaso Pantera lauscht, weiß: hier handelt es sich um einen außergewöhnlichen Sportwagen. Der aus Argentinien stammende Rennfahrer und Geschäftsmann Alejandro De Tomaso war dabei seine Autoträume in Italien zu verwirklichen - mit dem Geld seiner Ehefrau Isabelle Haskell kennen, der wohlhabenden Enkelin von William C. Durant, dem Gründer von General Motors. Nachdem der Vallelunga und der Mangusta keine Kassenschlager wurden, sollte der Pantera endlich die Kasse zum Klingeln bringen.

This Pantera is a L model. So it could be a "MK2" the first generation "MK1" is the car with push button door handle. ;)

Lascariis I always thought the Lusso was the US model with the elongated front bumper that goes all the way across the front?

Not exactly true. DeTomaso didn’t build the cars themselves in their factory. They were built by Vignale from 1971 until 1974. Until April 1971 Vignale built the cars completely in their factory and those are the 382 cars with push button door handles. After April 1971 until 1974 Vignale built the cars for the most part and DeTomaso finished the cars in their Modena factory. So, essentially every Pantera built after April 1971 does not have push button dorr handles.

Mit 18/19 träumte ich davon viel zu verdienen und geile Autos zu fahren habe das auch geschafft und bin zehn Jahre lang geile Autos gefahren bis ich es dann über hatte... aber solange es Spaß machte immer bis Anschlag immer mit 25 Liter auf 100km... und es war geil!
Und heute fast 40 Jahre später von was Träumen diese 18 19-Jährigen Lappen heute ..?

Sadly from 2030 on all the combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one single state operated station per city. :-(
