    I want one. Much prefer the look of the early cars, the right colour with subtle and practical upgrades.

    Super nice classic sportscar. Far better looking than todays hyper cars.
    Thanks for showing us the car.

    I'm 58 y.o. and saw a very good example of Pantera (it was a retired race car in suitable dressing and dark yellow - matt black paint scheme) once in a life-time when I was at early 20s. Since then, no other cars looked that good, sharp, raw and handsome to me. I still love it dearly and think this is the only design that can catch a unique beauty with so simple lines (maybe Miura, too ?). This vid will be in my fav list with hundreds of Pantera clips.

    This is spectacular. It has an extremely silent engine, and at the same time is of extreme power. Listening to the audio in the video, from inside the cockpit, you can hear the roar in acceleration, and it's fantastic. It 's very particular including the driver's seat. I also really like the very sporty pedals: it probably requires driving shoes, or I think you can drive even better without shoes, to get even more feeling and grip. I say this, because I usually prefer to drive without shoes, or totally barefoot.

    • @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction
      @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes a lot of people do drive them without shoes. I can fit in there as long as the shoes aren't too wide

    • @ilfred6857
      @ilfred6857 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with you. However try to drive without shoes your Pantera: just out of curiosity, and you'll notice a total symbiosis with the car.

    They were comparable to a new Vette in their day. However had real issues to overcome with upgraded engineering. Actually ahead of it’s time.

    Hi Mike,
    Glad to see you having fun with your Pantera. The noise is addicting and mine is extremely loud to the point that I'm worried about the new enforcement parameters of California's decibel law. My recent 351C transplant is up just north of 500hp, but I haven't really tested its limits yet. It's in the shop this week for some cooling system updates. This summer I hope to drive it up to Concorso Italiano for the first time so I'm preparing the car now. Hopefully, you'll have yours there as well and we can compare notes. By the way, there is a new front spoiler coming to market for front end downforce from SACC. I am considering it as well.

      Thank you!! Yes your car definitely sounds like a beast and I would love to see it sometime. I like the down force news, it's much needed

      Ted Geldberg I think 500 hp is perfect for this kind of car. Not too much power.

    I got to drive one just like this yellow one. I had to do some paint repair on it at a body shop I was working at. Couldnt get on it. Because it was a customers car. But it had a 351 Cleveland in it. Id rather have one of these than alot of the euro crap thats rollin around.

  • @michaelboisselle8590

    You're correct on the horsepower, we all want 1000 hp until we realize the car isn't a pleasure to drive, both my frc and my karman ghia are way over powered, and now i don't drive them as much, lessons learned

    • @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction
      @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, it's not so much how much HP you make it's how much can be put to the road

    Nice car with great exhaust note. Does your friend with the black Pantera have any videos of his car?

  • @INDIGOBLUE555
    @INDIGOBLUE555 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Excellent upload sir,I just would like to ask a couple of details about the Pantera:
    ◽reportedly it was prone to overheating - was there some fault in the cooling system ?Being the 351originally engineered for front engined cars did It suffer being placed in the rear
    compartment ? How did this problem got fixed?
    ◽What about the gearing ? Is it true the 5th gear was virtually working as an overdrive ?
    Thanks a lot for the infos,greetings from 🇮🇪

    • @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction
      @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they did have cooling issues which was fixed by upgrading the radiator and fans. Mine runs nice and cool now.
      Yes 5th gear is definitely and OD. Basically not needed until I reach freeway speeds 70+.
      Thanks for watching!!

    Engine parts are very cheap because of the Ford engine. With the Italian looks and exclusivity is a good combination.

  • @flashy5150

    The downforce on the front end is probably why Tim Horton, Toronto Maple Leaf defenseman, lost control of his ‘72 Pantera on the way back to Buffalo from Maple Leaf Gardens. He died in a white one on the Queen Elizabeth Way, near St. Catherine’s Ontario, Canada. He started Tim Hortons Donuts.

    That's not the stock exhaust. What is it and who makes it?

    • @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction
      @ExtremeAutomotiveAddiction  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No definitely not stock and I cant say that I have seen anything on it to indicate who makes it.
      Does sound great though
