Excellent video. Really love the simplicity of the older sports bikes. None of the fancy electronics to worry about. Looking forward to the next installment.
Same here Paul, I'd hate to plug a laptop in to my bike so I could fix it but on the same subject I'd love to learn more about it all and the avenues for 'hacking' bikes and unlocking what they can do.
Ian, do you have a video showing how you removed the motor? Was the bike/frame in the ABBA stand or sitting on the floor once the exhaust was removed? Thank you in advance!!!
Another great video 👍 I think you should paint this one white and blue as that's the best colours for Suzuki's 😊 (even though i have a black and silver RGV lol)
Is it the same engine as the bandit just lower cc. I think the gsxr 1100 bored out to 1157 is what's in bandits (1200's) but your 750 looks the same. Gr8 video again regards RR
It all started with this 750 engine, they made a 1052cc engine for the 86 1100 then a 1127 and finally the might 1157 bandit 12 engine, thanks again for the kind words about the video glad your are enjoying them. Ian
Nice old slabby mate! Do you know of they still sell that complete exhaust you have on your gsxr? Good exhausts are hard to come by these days and i am looking for one. Cheers
Hey Gixxer, Mircon went bust a good few years ago now but Max Torque cans who sponsored our Bandit videos makes a full system for it, I don't think they list it on their website but give them a call and they can help you out. Ian www.maxtorquecans.com/contacts
@@Classicmotorbikes yes mate ive got a cbr1000f project bike and a triumph t595 street fighter iv just got on the road just in time for winter. the gsxr750f was the first bike i ever went on the back of it was so fast i couldnt breath lol.
I am sitting in my garage with jobs to do on my Blade & 750 SRAD..but instead I’m watching you work! 😄

Your series are the best. I am begging to strip my bike down and have found your videos an invaluble source of encourgement and information.
Thank you for the kind words it really does mean a lot. How is your project going?
Brilliant . Man i love your approach to those old Suzuki bikes. I have RF900 and 89 Gsxr1100K so for me your vids are virtually therapeutical :)
Thanks Adikxx83 all my bikes have been Suzuki (apart from a Kawasaki GT750 I owned for a week!)
Good work Ian your doing well, life is so much easier with the abba stand and i may have sorted the notification problem ha ha..
Fingers crossed for the notifications, I was worried when I hadn't seen you comment 😱
Bought a 1985 model today .In boxes. Methinks this might be useful.

@@Classicmotorbikes thanks mate!
awesome work! what happened to this bike? is it for sale?
Hey Marksmann, thank you for the kind words. I have sold the bike to a friend.
I had the 85 model years ago it was fucking amazing bike wish I never sold it the price of them now mate
you will never need a 15mm spanner on a GSXR
I notice this model has 2 clocks but others have 3... what’s the difference? Chz
Hi Chrisk, some models had a fuel gauge depending on what country they was made for.
Do you know what the UK spec is, and is it different for 85,86, 87?
forever kickin my self for selling my gsxr1100l.
I feel the same way about my old Bandit 1200, have you got anything now?
