Honestly I loved Pushmo the most. It was most adaptable to making large pixel art characters into puzzles. While you had the freedom to do the same in Crashmo, there wasn't much you could do to tweak the difficulty of the puzzles and they mostly ended up just being demolition organization. I never played Strechmo as I hated the free to play, check the app if the price changes. This implied that the game might go on sale at some point and if you were not willing to go all in you would have to overpay for the full game by $2. But the game NEVER went on sale, ever. I just checked my play time on the base demo. I wasted 7 hours of game time loading the dang thing up, to have to wait for the game to connect to the store and only to constantly be told, no the game is still at the same price. This continued to anger me, so I wouldn't ever bother to pay for the game. Ultimately today I don't have enough space on my SD card, so it's just dead to me. If it had been a normal e-shop release I probably would have bought it, but I really hate supporting free to play games, even ones you can buy the complete content outright. Ultimately I ended up buying Pushmo World on Wii U a week before the Miiverse closed. I did grab about 100 custom puzzles, but never really played it as much as I probably should have. (Mostly because of breath of the Wild on Wii U)
Also not mentioned in this video... Pushmo, Crashmo and [probbally] Strechmo are all very future proof [With a little extra work] as you use the 3DS camera to import the games, and save and export your level creations as images that are saved to your SD card. [You used to be able to use your 3DS browser to simply upload the files directly to a fan site that maybe still around... idk.] But this is a safe way to preserve your levels and the custom levels of others for many years to come.
It's Stretchmo. It has the more variety. As a kid, I remember being pissed as this game's park as I thought they were copying the Pushmo park. But I enjoyed the game and forgot about that, until I learned after finishing Papa Blox's levels that he created the park (or maybe one of his ancestors did because it seems like if happened long ago, and the person we see in the flashback looks exactly like what Papa Blox looks like now). Anyway it made my stupid plagiarism idea completely irrelevant ^^'
My best friend's younger brother had this game back in the day. It always looked fun to me. Once the shops are closed, I'm certain we'll still be able to download the rooms... still, it's the principal of the matter. Dang it, Nintendo.
Thanks for watching!! yeah it’s always tough seeing games disappear in an official capacity - even though there might be “other options” it still is rough seeing games disappear from being purchasable in ANY capacity. Thanks so much for watching!!

@@marksrecroom You convinced me to buy the pushmo series before the eshop closes. I've been looking into digital buys for 3DS, Wii U, and PS3 before they all close.
I've never played any of these games, but I've always been interested in them ever since the 3DS was new. It looks like such a charming puzzle series that's right up my alley. I'm just holding out hope that Nintendo brings all of these games to the Switch. But in the end, I'm probably better off just getting them on 3DS and Wii U when I can. I mean, that's what I did with the BoxBoy games. It's a shame that Nintendo's lack of respect for their history is gonna make so many of their games far more inaccessible. And sure, you can always resort to piracy, and that is a very good way to preserve games. I mean, that's how all of WiiWare ended up surviving. But at least for me, nothing beats owning the game on its original hardware. And taking it from a random source for free (assuming I don't own it already) ultimately makes me appreciate it less in the long run.
Thanks so much for watching!! I agree with everything you’ve said here - the BoxBoy series did get a revival on Switch too so here’s hoping we can see something for Pushmo. You should totally give these games a shot for sure if they seem up your alley, and luckily they’re pretty inexpensive on the eShop!
Yessss! Love seeing this! I got into Pushmo right around when they announced the eshop was going to be discontinued. It’s such a charming little game and I loved hearing your thoughts on this whole series! I definitely gotta check out the other games now
thanks so much for watching!! i’m so glad to hear you like these games as much as i do - definitely give the other games in the series a shot. Especially Stretchmo, that’s my personal favorite of the bunch and i’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
i personally played all of them except pushmo world, pushmo was certainly a great start, but crashmo perfected its design, and then strechmo came out of left field as a return to form with a nice spin (corin's fortress of fun was the best segment from strechmo, dont @ me)
This series legit needs a revival…much like another Intelligent Systems game that got rebooted recently (and temporarily canned before release, but we don’t talk about that-)
As an early adopter of the 3DS I would have enthusiastically welcomed any fresh content of any kind from Nintendo in those times. I'm glad Pushmo ended up being one of the games that rang in a new era of success for the 3DS. It was an early flagship for the fledgling Nintendo 3DS eShop and represented the eShop brand well. Though it wasn't exactly a AAA release it certainly scratched an itch that many 3DS owners had at the time and deserved its success and sequels. Fun times. Thanks for reminding the world that this series exists before it's too late for them to own it.
I totally agree - even though Pushmo might not have been a massive AAA release like Super Mario 3D Land or Kid Icarus Uprising, it was exactly what 3DS owners wanted at that time: charming, affordable games with lots of fun packed in. Thanks so much for watching, and I’m so glad to hear that you enjoyed this series too!
It's worth mentioning that Crashmo actually has far more than 100 levels. There's 90 optional "training levels" you can do to learn the game better and then when you beat all of the first 100 main levels, you unlock 40 more. Edit: I also forgot to mention the 10 "prototype" puzzles you unlock which have blocks that are more than one tile thick
My favorite Pushmo level, that I created, was abstract "Bad Ladders". It flipped the ladder from a friend to an enemy. It was a upside down L that was very tall and big. But it was two steps up, so you could only pull it out one block. The ladders were all placed on the top of the block, facing down. (This was so the bad ladders couldn't be avoided.) But by only doing this, the ladders all opened up, and if Mallow tried to cross the gaps the ladder would suck him up into it, and if you canceled back, you would be dropped between the gap down to the ground below. There were three easy climbing puzzles to get high enough to pull blocks open to block off the ladder exits, so Mallow could cross the gaps. The last obstical to overcome was a tough climbing puzzle to block off the last ladder, with a twist on each of the three easy climbing puzzles.
@@Oceane1803 yup. I still have it. Its an ugly mess of a 5 star difficulty. I'll have to find out if the previous fan site I uploaded it to, is still around. So I can share the link.
I remember hearing about these games years ago about how fun of a puzzler they are, though unfortunately these games and hundreds of other indie games, virtual console games, etc will be gone permanently after the 3ds/ Wii U eshop closes. Hopefully they someday get sequels on the Switch.
thanks for watching!! yeah here’s hoping that this content will be brought to Switch in some capacity - the 3DS and Wii U eShops had too many great games on them that will be lost to time, which is really sad.
Hopefully Nintendo will make legacy content for the 3DS and Wii U in ports for Switch in a few months. Imagine a Smash 4 port featuring all the content from the 3DS and Wii U version with the return of the Ice Climbers, and all the DLC is unlocked from the start!
never played these but they look right up my alley, can't believe I've never heard of them. don't have a wiiu but I'm grabbing the 3DS ones ASAP. for all of Nintendo's seeming investment in video games as a medium, it's frustrating that they don't do more to assist with preservation and ensure their games are still playable without piracy
Thanks for watching!! I’m so glad that you’ll be able to give these games a shot since they seem like something you’ll be interested in - and since they’re fairly inexpensive i’m sure you’ll get lots of value from the series for sure.
i totally agree - I love how the Pushmo series is able to create challenging puzzles with a very simple and easy to understand premise that stays fresh for multiple games. Here’s hoping we can see some sort of revival in the near future. Thanks so much for watching!!
well, I hope if they make a new game, they'll kinda "fuse" each game's concept (like, one level in which it's just pushmo, another level which'd be like crashmo, or levels like stretchmo), with each game's new addition, like ennemies and such
These games are MY CHILDHOOD ! I love them. I bought the three 3ds games again lately. And yes, Corin's Fortress of Fun is the most original. You can go back in time, but less than in the other sets of level, and if you get hit by an enemy, you can't go back to before getting hit obviously. It really adds to the gameplay. Besides, Corin is the best character. Mallo is just a basic kind hero, Poppy is a basic cute lady and Papa Blox is a basic wise old man. But Corin is a kid with an attitude that hides his social awkwardness. The reason why he traps the kids in the Pushmo in the first game is because he felt lonely (and maybe resentful), probably because the other kids just pushed him away and didn't want to be his friend. So like, oof relatable. In Crashmo, he becomes Papa Blox's pupil, which I think is super cool, and his description in Stretchmo mentions that, meaning that even though the lore isn't that big, at least it's consistent, which isn't something we can ask to all game series, and in Stretchmo, his attitude is once again shown. You NEED to get these games. Because the sharing system of these games is based on QR Codes, meaning that even when the 3ds' Internet will be down, you'll still be able to share your creations. The other games I highly recommand before the E shop closes forever are the Boxboy series, another puzzle game where you can create blocks and you have to use them in many different ways in order to progress through the levels (there are 3 games and they don't cost much), then there's HarmoKnight, a rythym adventure game made by Game Freak. It's cool, the villains, designs are so great, the gameplay isn't easy to master, but once you do, it's really fun and challenging. People who want to 100% this game have a lot of work on their hands. Finally I recommand Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX, another rythym game featuring Miku. I only played the demo of this one but I recommand getting it (I sure will soon), it seems great. That's how I discovered Senbonsakura, my favorite Hatsune Miku song. These two games and the whole Boxboy series have their demos, I suggest you checking them out and gather money in order to buy all these games before they're gone forever. There's also this game called Ever Oasis that I also recommand. It's not only on the E Shop as there are physical copies of it, but it's an underrated game with cute graphics where you have to create an oasis in a desert. The main species aren't humans but some kind of seed people (they do look a lot like humans aside of their skin colors though) and I find it very interesting. Finally I suggest you buy the Street Pass Plaza games you've already played a long time ago again if you had to replace your console and lost these games. I did buy the first pack with the first four games again lately and it's so much nostalgia. There you go these were my recommandations of underrated 3ds games to buy.
Wow recomandations work for the first time. There are a lot of small channels that have extremly good content with real high cuality and this one is no diffrent definitely a sub from me
After the two n64 remakes we started getting more heavy hitters by the end of it’s first year with Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7. I think 2013 was one of the 3DS’ prime years in my opinion
Holy. Shit. Let me just say, I've never seen such quality content from such a small youtuber! I can already tell you that you are going places. I got Pullblox (EU/UK) for my 3ds and instantly fell in love, I always had it in my wishlist but never got it due to short funds. Now, at the realisation that this game will disappear, I'll do what I did with Driver SF... finish it to completion! I'll be purchasing all of these games with the exception of the Wii U version since, no offence, but that shit rank. Keep up the good work!
I totally agree! I really hope we can get an enhanced port or new entry on Switch - I honestly think that it would be the perfect platform for this series. Thanks for watching!!
And now it looks like it DOES make a comeback on the Switch as Stretchmo/fullblox has been registered again with the Australian government as a trademark. So a Switch port of the last game may happen for real.
I was one of the people who got the free 3ds one and was put off by the monetisation. I don't know if this happened anywhere else, but I remember it was one of those where it got downloaded to your 3ds to try as a gift (like demos of kirby games or w/e). I still think back to it sometimes, though - it seemed like a fun game, I just didn't like the way it was handled. This was an interesting look back, to learn about its history - I might try it sometime.
Thanks for watching!! yeah the demo was something it sounds like a lot of 3DS owners tried then never actually purchased since there were only a small handful of tutorial levels to try for free. Stretchmo’s pricing system was so weird and unfortunately held it back in my opinion - but if it seems like a series you might like you should definitely give it a shot!
yes, while you can buy Tomodachi Life physically, it’s significantly cheaper on the eShop ($20) and that will be going away soon too, which is a bummer. Pushmo was unfortunately released exclusively on the eShop with no physicals :( Thanks for watching!!
As someone who is also a fan of Catherine, you should absolutely give these games a shot if you enjoy that style of puzzle gameplay. They’re obviously a bit different, but I think you’ll enjoy it for sure. Thanks for watching!!
I played most of these games from my 2ds and current year my 2ds has alot of battle scars and a Styrofoam small ball getting stuck in the speaker insuring terrible quality audio. Still enjoyable to use and play games with though
Every Nintendo Direct I wish for Pushmo to come to Switch. Just like today, but no Pushmo/Crashmo/Stretchmo. I really love the series because I have all the installments, including Pushmo World, and It really is the best Puzzler I've played. Mallo is such a charming and adorable main character, would make for a awesome side-Nintendo mascot. The Pushmo series would make so much sense on the Nintendo Switch, but we are yet to get any sort of remake/port. Really hope we can get a fanbase to "push" for Pushmo to return someday soon
thanks so much for watching!! i’m in the same boat - unfortunately we didn’t see Pushmo today but i’m holding out hope that we’ll get some kind of rerelease before the 3DS and Wii U eShops close so that more people can play these really great games.
I have completed Fullblox though. I know the series. Has being translated but I’m still working though pullblox and fullblox I have got them btw I haven’t played them in a wile but I have created some awesome levels extended levels for some of the amrhooliverse Pokémon and more! I would share these levels soon anyway but once they have all being designed then yeh. I love 3D levels do you guys?
Thanks for watching!! Yeah I definitely think that pricing structure held Stretchmo back from really succeeding. The demo was so short that it wasn’t really able to make a big enough impression for people to actually want to buy the full game, so a lot of people seemed to try the demo then forget about it haha. If it seems like your thing though, definitely give the games a shot!!
Hi there, I know another game on the e-shop that will close down soon too! It's name was denpa men, it was a fun RPG were you controlled little men who came by radio waves I think? Anyways, it was a fun RPG but it's soon going to disappear, like pushblocks. So how about you try and cover denpa men?
"When the eshop closes, these games are gone for good" YAR HAR FIDDLE DEE DEE, BEING A PIRATE IS ALREADY WITH ME- actually to be fair I purchased these games a few years ago, but still- DO WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE, YOU ARRR A PIRATE
LOL here’s hoping that in the spirit of these games launching very affordable, that the collection or port would be affordable too but I would not be surprised at all if the port was $60
I loved these games as a kid (except crashmo, that game sucked ass) and would spend my days creating nigh impossible levels and forcing my family to play them. I even have a couple really abysmal videos of it early in my channel history. Sadly, the 3ds I had the original two games on broke and I lost the one that had stretchmo. I think I still have world on my Wii U though. I do wish they would get back and make a 5th game or collection, though I probably wouldn't play it as much these days.
MAN mario vs Donkey Kong had a period where it got a ton of games then they just straight up disappeared, which is a bummer cause i like those games. thanks for watching!!
Stretchmo is actually a sequel to Pushmo! they’re both similar games but Stretchmo has its own types of puzzles and gets a little more complex. Regardless, they’re both great games that you should try out if they seem like something you’d like. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for watching! I really hope that this inspires you to give these games a try. What Pushmo game is your favorite?

If they don't offer a legit way of playing these games in the future, they shouldn't complain about me putting this patch over my eye...
Yeah and they shouldn’t complain if I installed some „cool“ applications on my 3DS console
hahahah i put a patch over my eye for all three of them and the DLC ;)

I remember playing the first game for a bit, never knew about all the others

Only if you have a linking Nintendo account on the switch though, as otherwise you can’t add any funds after August 29th.

There were three easy climbing puzzles to get high enough to pull blocks open to block off the ladder exits, so Mallow could cross the gaps. The last obstical to overcome was a tough climbing puzzle to block off the last ladder, with a twist on each of the three easy climbing puzzles.
Do you still have the QR Code ? I wanna try that.
@@Oceane1803 yup. I still have it. Its an ugly mess of a 5 star difficulty. I'll have to find out if the previous fan site I uploaded it to, is still around. So I can share the link.
Okay cool ^^ Tell me when you have it ^^
I remember hearing about these games years ago about how fun of a puzzler they are, though unfortunately these games and hundreds of other indie games, virtual console games, etc will be gone permanently after the 3ds/ Wii U eshop closes. Hopefully they someday get sequels on the Switch.
thanks for watching!! yeah here’s hoping that this content will be brought to Switch in some capacity - the 3DS and Wii U eShops had too many great games on them that will be lost to time, which is really sad.
Well why can't you try emulation?
Definitely subscribing! I can’t believe you don’t have at least 80k. Keep making great content
Yo thanks so much!! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and leave a comment, I’m super happy you enjoyed the video!
Another great video man! Keep ‘em comin’! I can’t get enough of your amazing content. 😁
Thanks so much man!! i really appreciate your support :)
These games were my childhood man. Some of the most unique puzzle games. You played as a marshmallow sumo wrestler w concept.
I absolutely love the Pushmo games. They are simple in concept but some of the puzzles are pretty damn hard.
i totally agree - I love how the Pushmo series is able to create challenging puzzles with a very simple and easy to understand premise that stays fresh for multiple games. Here’s hoping we can see some sort of revival in the near future. Thanks so much for watching!!
well, I hope if they make a new game, they'll kinda "fuse" each game's concept (like, one level in which it's just pushmo, another level which'd be like crashmo, or levels like stretchmo), with each game's new addition, like ennemies and such
Liked and subbed. The quality of your video, edits and audio are so goooooood! I hope you go far:)
Thanks so much for watching, I seriously appreciate your comment!! :)
There are a lot of small channels that have extremly good content with real high cuality and this one is no diffrent definitely a sub from me
Thanks so much!! I really appreciate the support - thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment and subscribe, it really helps a ton.
No problem man you deserve it
here i am days before the shutdown
I've never heard of these games until now. And they do sound fun
thanks for watching, you should totally check them out if they seem like a series that you’d like!
I just bought Pullblox World on my Wii U today alongside Dr. Luigi for my last 2 Wii U games.
Yo thanks so much for watching!! i’m so glad you enjoyed the video and that it inspired you to pick up these games!
man good job brother
I'm replaying them now.
Love these games, it's a shame they will disappear officially. I hope pushmo gets something on switch, kinda like boxboy
fantastic video!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
*laughes in the high seas
i really liked playing this game. it's just sad they forget it out of nowhere. but what if they make new versions for switch?
if Intelligent Systems makes a new Pushmo game for Switch i’m preordering it frame 1
@@marksrecroom same that game is just so fun-
I only played the tutorial, but it was genuinely one of the most fun and creative games I’ve ever played. Why haven’t they made a game for the Switch
Strechmo was my first experience in this series I never knew there were others
Stretchmo is such a good game - if you liked that you should definitely try out the rest of the series!! thanks so much for watching!!
When I saw only had 500 subscribers my eyes bulged out if my head and I went "ehwhuehh?!?"
hahaha thank you, I really appreciate the support!
I love pushmo! Seeing as it was also on wii u it would very easily work on switch
I totally agree! I really hope we can get an enhanced port or new entry on Switch - I honestly think that it would be the perfect platform for this series.
Thanks for watching!!
More games to add to my eshop list...I’m just lucky these games are affordable.
I think the Tomodachi series is dissapearing aswell or not?
yes, while you can buy Tomodachi Life physically, it’s significantly cheaper on the eShop ($20) and that will be going away soon too, which is a bummer.
Pushmo was unfortunately released exclusively on the eShop with no physicals :(
Thanks for watching!!
Jokes on you I'm literally almost finishing pushmo, what a coincidence
As a fan of Catherine this looks right up my alley.
Good video love these games
Thanks so much for watching! This series is so good, and here’s hoping that we’ll see more games in the future!
@@marksrecroom yeah your channel and these games deserve more attention.
If BoxBoy plus boxgirl never came out it would be the same as pushmo
I have only played stretchmo, but it's still sad
Couldn't people preserve this game on like homebrew or something
*homebrew intensifies*
I bought this
Let us pray that one day there will be a nintendo switch sequel/comeback or a spiritual successor 🙏
I really liked the Denpa Men series on 3DS
i had never heard of this series until just now but it looks really interesting!! Thanks for commenting!!
I played the demo back then but now i cant play it anymore
I loved that game, sad isnt avaible on switch
Lore of The Nintendo Series That Is Disappearing Forever momentum 100
I have completed Fullblox though. I know the series. Has being translated but I’m still working though pullblox and fullblox I have got them btw I haven’t played them in a wile but I have created some awesome levels extended levels for some of the amrhooliverse Pokémon and more! I would share these levels soon anyway but once they have all being designed then yeh. I love 3D levels do you guys?
i downloaded crashmo today, its pretty good game ! (:
I hope this doesn't spread to nintendo but there is a database that I know that has a terabyte worth of 3DS content, including this game.
Imagine having your favourite 3ds eshop exclusive be unavailable forever couldnt be me lmao 😂😂😂
I remember playing the free one a while ago and not liking it because of how little it gave you before you had to pay
So how about you try and cover denpa men?
i had never heard of those games until super recently!! i’m definitely gonna snag them from the eShop before they disappear.
Thanks for watching!!
"When the eshop closes, these games are gone for good"
YAR HAR FIDDLE DEE DEE, BEING A PIRATE IS ALREADY WITH ME- actually to be fair I purchased these games a few years ago, but still- DO WHAT YOU WANT CAUSE A PIRATE IS FREE, YOU ARRR A PIRATE
"just because the system can no longer download games doesn't mean you can just steal them" 🤖🤖🤖🤖🤖
Time for the $60 Port for Switch 2
LOL here’s hoping that in the spirit of these games launching very affordable, that the collection or port would be affordable too but I would not be surprised at all if the port was $60
I just purchased stretchmo but somehow I can’t purchase the fun pass.
Nintendo series disappearing forever for no reason? Oh you mean Mario vs Donkey Kong?
MAN mario vs Donkey Kong had a period where it got a ton of games then they just straight up disappeared, which is a bummer cause i like those games. thanks for watching!!
@@marksrecroom Would love a video on that series since most people think those games are bad, which makes me sad:(
3ds Modders, its dumpin time.
Pirate it
Looks cute but also veeeeery slow. Nothing to go crazy about.
No one even knows what this game is and it's sad
I thought this game was called stretchmo, not pushmo?
Stretchmo is actually a sequel to Pushmo! they’re both similar games but Stretchmo has its own types of puzzles and gets a little more complex. Regardless, they’re both great games that you should try out if they seem like something you’d like. Thanks for watching!
@@marksrecroom ohhh ok got it!
