My lt4 was 2.5 upper 15% lower fulley ported blower made 15.5psi I swapped 2.5 to 2.3 upper and boost goes down to 14.5psi now you makes me thinking this is the reason i will double check blower bypass thx man
Are you going to install a catch can on your ZL1 ? LT4 engines are known for sucking in lots of oil and vapors. Keep up the great DIY Camaro ZL1 videos. 👍 😎
@@williamhorvat8224 YES SIR, I am going to add a catch can. Just waiting on UPR to release their can system for the ZL1. Should be soon! Thanks for the support!
The bolts for your super charger lid are torque to yield (TTY). If you should have to remove your supercharger lid again, be very very careful. Those bolts are really designed to stretch only once!! My handle on Camaro6.com is Krowser.
My 2016 when I parked it today started making a blow off noise when I parked it today it wasn't overheated I don't know if it's air-conditioning dripping on something warm or the supercharger is making the noise
That would work well also. I removed the hoses for better access, they only took a few seconds to remove. I realize it's not 100% necessary to remove them.
Making small adjustments to things often doesn’t allow you to feel the difference by the seat of the pants. Meaning just because you don’t feel a difference does it mean there’s not one. I would say you would have to jump at least 30 hp before you could tell there was a difference seat of the pants. Add unless this thing was very bad out of adjustment you’re not gonna get anywhere near that. But I would say anytime your bypass valve is partially open when you’re under throttle you’re losing boost. So even if it took another two seconds to get to a certain boost level that’s a difference and then you adjust the valve and it doesn’t take that two seconds anymore because it closes all the way when it should. You gain power but not peak power only power on the curve. Without being on a dyno And doing before and after pulls they will be no way to tell if and what difference it made unless it was very bad out.
fastsvt Even with the LSA engine it didn’t require you taking the blower off. And the adjustments are made with further close the valve, opening it would be when the vacuum solenoid pulls it to the left.

When i do my catch can set up I will be checking this as i will have the blower lid removed anyways!
Worth a check!
Just to confirm I took the supercharger lid off today and re did the adjustment to confirm that the valve is closed and good to go.

Knight's Garage go with the Might Mouse catch can, much better design than the UPR unit.
BigThumpr1 I disagree. If anything they would be similar in design and quality. UPR is the best on the market in my Opinion

Place a thin paper between lever and screw and adjust with sliding paper.
No need to pull the hoses…
That would work well also. I removed the hoses for better access, they only took a few seconds to remove. I realize it's not 100% necessary to remove them.
So slide the paper back and forth while turning the screw till the paper is barely able to slide anymore?
That’s what I did…..
So did it make a difference??

Better to do this with the blower off so you can actually see the valve close

What brought this to your attention Project ZL1?
David Smith I’ve seen it on the LSA’s from earlier year model’s and most recently a post on Camaro6 forum.
