Thank you for your wonderful video, it is nearly 11 years ago I was there and watching this has brought back so many memories and making me want to go back, Namibia is such a magical place.
Thank you guys ! What a fabulous country - the scenery is out of this world - Loved your escapade in the dunes, amazing . Wonder what surprise Leigh has in mind for you Stephy ! Take care and enjoy life !
What a beautiful area guys. When the camera was showing the dead tree's on the salt lake. With the sand dune back drop. It looked like a painting, to me. Those wild horse's, are well looked after. I noticed there was a brick built water trough.
I've travelled in all those places and they are my favourite places in the whole world! You actually brought a tear to my eye remembering the beauty of it all! Thanks for making these videos!
Hey ... awesome video of a fabulous trip. I may be stating the obvious, but that tyre damage results from continuing to drive on a flat tyre. Often caused by not realising you have one. The tyre folks call it a "run flat". I had a job as a kid back in 1980 with a tyre company that retreaded (mostly truck tires) balding casings. Each one had to be inspected. Even a short period on a flat tyre can damage a casing beyond recovery. In todays world with prices of tyres so high and the amount of trucks traversing Southern Africa, one has to bear these things in mind. I'm about to embark on my own adventure in an expedition 4x4 truck. It will also be my full time home. I watch your's and many other adventurers to see where I too can wild camp and just be at one with my surroundings ... wherever that may be. Keep on keeping on ... Clive-0 🚚
Hello, I am very happy to see your new routes again, I would be very grateful if in an upcoming video you would show the new mechanical updates of the landy 130, greetings from the end of the world Santiago de Chile. Rodrigo.
A crazy Ozzie from Melbourne created a bicycle race - similiar to Race to the Rock in Oz, but this one goes from Plettenberg Bay via Stellenbosch and ends 2750 km later in Windhoek, mostly on gravel roads including the ones you feature. Its called the Rhino Run. If you want to experience heat, and the sheer beauty of the Cederberg and Namibia, do it!
Just 10 years old and daily use… Velcro on windows not biting anymore. Makes it harder to close and sometimes water infiltration. Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the video.
While you are in Namibia you should really consider doing the Naukluft hike. 4 or 8 days. It’s considered the toughest hike in the world and is renowned. I did it 5 years ago and was a great experience
I agree with you, Andy. Only tonight I went to go to South Mole to fish. Gates still shut. Very sad world we live just because of a small few. That stuff it for the rest of us. I was only talking to a mate about the homeless etc that live in their cars etc. Would be great to see like a caravan park type set up for them all to stay for free. . The Fremantle Port Authority solved nothing. All they did was move the problem to another area. Us fishos are slowly losing places to fish.
What caused the tent overflow ? You two really should do an overland / climbing guide, with lots of Stephy's photos in it. Going by her video shots they would be awesome as she has the eye 👀👀
Fantastic episode guys, thank you 👍🏻 Also, a question if you have a chance, with all your experience with corrigations what's your approach to them? Tires down & slow down?
Definitely tyres down and slow down. So far we've found the Namibian corrugation to be quite tame in comparison to Australia. We also reduce the tension on our adjustable shock absorbers.
Hi Leigh and Stephy I have been following you two since Turkey awesome content. You are the inspiration for where we are now. In CapeTown waiting for our Defender to arrive. I was looking for a little advice. The importing agent ( suggest by the shipping agent in the UK ) seems a little vague and wants to charge us what seems a very high fee ( almost the same as the initial shipping cost from the UK .) would you be willing to share a ball park figure for your importing costs and maybe your Agent . Regards Alan & Lesley
Very happy that you are starting your overland journey. Especially in CT . And with a Defender. I m sorry, I don’t have the amount in mind. We used like most overlanders Ducan at African overlanders. All together from Australia it was around 10k .
Thanks guys Still waiting for the Defender (18_19th ) now. I just didn't know how despite all the planning such a big part of the trip is so out of our control. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. In the meantime we are loving our new Bushwakka trailer even if we are pulling it with a Ford Ranger!!
Hey, I was wondering what kind of rear view mirror/display you are using? I'm looking for one for my camper van. PS: Namibia is so beautiful, I have to visit some day.
We very rarely book anything but we are usually travelling outside of the busy periods which makes it easier. I don't think it would be possible to travel like this in Namibia during July / August...

This is absolutely awesome!! Fantastic sceneries, great places and pure endless nature. Thank you very much!!
Wow Guys! Namibia is something else. Blown away by its rugged natural beauty. What an amazing episode and camera work was outstanding. 😊
Magnifique!! Vous nous faites toujours autant rêver!! Merci Stéphy et Leight !🙏

Funny I was there in 2016 and just thinking the same thing 😁

Very nice video guys ! Glad you liked it as I have been in love with that part of Nam for many, many years. Enjoy the rest !
Thank you for sharing this pictures. It reminds me to my trip around africa in 2009 as if it were yesterday. ❤
2009. We confirm, it was only yesterday 😅
Magnifique , merci biz de Guadeloupe !!!🥰😍🤙
Amazing scenery, thanks for sharing!
Amazing shots and really conveyed the beauty very well. Enjoy and stay safe!

Yes . You noticed right. There is a men made water hole. And animals come each night there.
Awesome video
Lovely. Reminded me of some places here in Australia.
wow , 😍😍
I've done a few outback trips you were so right that part reminded me so much of the Flinders Rangers and outback SA
I've travelled in all those places and they are my favourite places in the whole world! You actually brought a tear to my eye remembering the beauty of it all! Thanks for making these videos!
😮 😊 thank you so much. It is a very nice compliment.

Whooo 2nd view, first comment!
Great episode as always guys 🤙🏼
Thank you very much. Thank you for watching.
Reminds me of my army days at 2nd South African Infantry Battalion in Walvis Bay, with dune 7 as the highest obstacle course.
Nice one 👍

National Geographic worthy drone shots !
unfortunately drones are not allowed in Deadvlei
Been there a few times, your photography is superb 👍🏻 envy you guys 🥴

What happened to the canvas (or did i miss that in the video🤔), any damage? Hope not...
Great video, glad you're back on the road again!

Colour contrast between dune and rocks on 45 and dried mud on the daddy was striking.

It's hard to believe there are more stars in the universe then grains of sand on this planet
Funny you mentioned that , I listened to a podcast mentioning that a few days ago.
Those dunes and animals made a great trip. The red bull dust back in NW Aus will get into everything. Hope it didn't get into Bear too much.
Thanks
We found lots of Australian red dust when we rebuilt the Defender in South Africa 😜

i don't fancy walking back up that sand dune
Nice movie! What's that for a instrument in the middle of your cockpit? That wide thing behind the windscreen.
Very nice. Just watch flying drones in national parks unless you have the required permits the fines are quite large
