wish i saw this video one week ago...
bought it, shoot it yesterday, facing the same problem, the same company have an alternative for flat bands that works great, but I'm not a fan.
Maybe you can file some channels into the forks.
That is actually a great idea! I ordered a different frame from them and sent this one back but I may re-order at some point and do that

I recently came across this same slingshot on Temu and bought one. It came with three sets of the same red tubes you show. The tube sets I received are too short for me, and as you say the fork tips are way too narrow.
I too want to love this slingshot. The stainless steel is awesome, the weight excellent and it feels very good in the hand. Your post has me wondering whether milling a slightly deeper divot into the fork tips may solve the problem.
One other problem I notice with mine is that the tubes are super tight inside the tube "attachment" slots. Personally, I think the slots need to be wider for 1745 tubes.
1632's slide super easy through the attachment hole, and my feeling is such sliding of the tubes inside the attachment slot would make a 1632 tube set align more easily and correctly when pulling the bands.
If I do these mods and they do not work out then my loss will be minimal. I paid around $11.00 for this slingshot, shipping and tax included.
To be fair a file would put a nice lil groove in it. I like yours more though!👍
I made smaller tube sets and took a chainsaw file and deepened the groove in the fork tip. Shoots like a dream.

Without having it in front of me, I really can't say for sure.

I’ve gotta admit, you got my wheels turning because I love looped tube frames because of their convenience and simplicity and I would love to design one of those
The tubes that come with it are waaaaay too over powered, I've cut them and recycled them into singles for another slingshot. It works wonderfully with 117b and 1632 loops though, I'm hitting more shots with it than my flat banded target and heavy setups lately.

@@411Outdoors funny enough, I was looking at this frame and the Stawoo at the same time and it was your other review that made me go with the Stawoo at the time, but I was still contemplating on getting this one as well. Now I'm happy I held off for so long. Love the content, obviously it's helpful lol, but also entertaining to watch. Even on the stuff I'm not even planning on buying. Appreciate the good work sir.
